Tildrash looks to Balen, snapping out of his trance, “Of course.” He drops the ends of his cloak takes an orange out of his bag, holding it out to Balen, “A fruit for the journey?”
"Heh, thanks!" Balen chuckled, taking the orange. He threw it in the air playfully and then caught it. "Where'd ya get it from?" He asked nonchalantly before taking a bite (yes, just straight up with the rind. He didn't care).
It him took a second before realized he forgot to respond to the readiness question. "Nice. That's good to hear!" He said between bites, "How you think you're gonna stop them... from stopping the end of the world? We gotta find two other heroes though..." He sighed, "At least we know one's in Sandhill. Hopefully... Maybe..."

“Sandhill is a week travel South East, you’ll have to be careful though as the quickest way is straight through Gorthrax territory.” Fungus says in response to Balen, he glances nervously at Tildrash when he mentions the Gorthrax
“The wizard will know where the hero is I’m sure, don’t you worry Balen. Though I have never met him myself from what I have heard he is the king over the city, he’ll have plenty of resources to help you find the hero.” Fungus says
I think it’d be fine, but you’ll probably have to talk to the DM about it.
((I think actually since you own the thread you're the one allowed to change the filter tags? Unless you mean if this is still actually recruiting, I have no idea? @The_Archsage_Gander_Gonowogoll since you are the DM, are you still allowing new players?))

Balen caught sight of Fungus' nerves when he mentioned Gorthax. 'Hmm...' That unnerved him a little bit. There was something that wasn't being said here. He watched carefully as Fungus spoke as he finished eating the orange very sloppily, then licked his fingers from the orange juice. On his old ship, he knew that without enough citrus one could get scurvy, so the fruit was a nostalgic delight. "Sound good," He commented when the wizard-king was mentioned. 'Interesting, a wizard as king? Must be a magical city or at least one with magical protections. No wonder the Supine went here instead. Didn't seem all the protected type here.'
He wanted to ask what's in the Gorthax territory, but then looked over at Tildrash and thought that if anything, the big dragonborn could handle them. As for himself, he may be small, but he was slippery. He prided himself in being sneaky. "What's in Gorthax?" He inquired of Fungus little bit brashly, though slowed his tone a bit after realizing he went on to strong, "Do we got a map or something? How's it that we're supposed to get there? I mean, I don't mind if we got to start walking. Unless... I mean, I do got a boat. A small one, actually... it's a canoe. But we'll fit."

Tildrash listened to Fungus’ instructions until he heard about the Gorthax, his face faded from attentive to serious. He had never been a part of the clan, but his father had spoken of the things they had done.
He looked to Balen, “All I know is that it’s a dragonborn clan my father had been a part of. He warned me about them when I was younger. How they ransacked villages ruthlessly, one of which was Elmside.” Tildrash was prepared for anything, but the Gorthax clan might be quite a hassle.

Nervously Fungus tries to steer the conversation away from the topic of the Gorthax “Ahem well yes well you could take your canoe as the river does flow out of the lake towards Sandhill at least for a while.”

His eyes widened in genuine concern at Tildrash. "Oh." He put his hands in pockets, unsure of what to say, "I'm sorry to hear that. That... must have been awful. What ha-" He was going to ask about how the dragonborn ended up in Elmside right after, but then retracted it when he realized it might be too intensive to ask. "Sorry..." He looked over to Fungus. "Sure we can go get it! It's uh.." He had to flip through his journal notes to find out if he had written the location down, "It's over by the lake. We can take it then to the river."
"Thanks... uh for everything," He said to Fungus. It felt weird to say goodbye, especially with his mixed feelings for him, but it was a sad one to say the least. He motioned for Tildrash to go follow him as he squinted in the distance, trying to find his canoe. Then he went on walking.
They went and found the small canoe and while he undocking and putting it in the river, he said "So, uh, how much do you know about Gorthax. I know- I don't mean to pry, but only if you want... How do you think we can get past them?"

Tildrash nodded to Balen, "It's not a problem at all. Judging by how my father spoke of them, they're likely ruthless and barbaric, but if they have managed to live for so long they are likely more clever than they seem. I'd say the best course of action would likely be to either approach them peacefully and ask for safe passage, sneak past them and hope they don't spot us, or fight them. However, if we find a way to study them carefully we may be able to easily persuade them to spare us, or maybe even turn them on each other."
"Oh so it seems..." Balen looked wistfully at Tildrash before setting the boat in the water. The way he said that statement had such a weird weight to it because when he said it, he was still trying to comprehend all that Tildrash had said to him. "Hmmm... yeah I don't suggest we barge on right in there then... Sorry to hear that about your father by the way." He apologized, but then again recalled that Tildrash said it wasn't a problem. Whoops.
"We would need to be just as crafty as they are. We gotta be smart 'bout this. Luckily, we will be." He chuckled as he pulled on the hood of his cloak and put it over his head "...Hopefully." He looked over at Tildrash as he sat on the canoe. "It's good to go."

Hey guys, not to be annoying but this campaign still has the recruiting tag, are you still recruiting? And if not, can you please remove that tag?
Thanks. Just helps me filter what games are actually available.
