Valar will approach and bow politely. "We come in peace and mean you no harm. We are here looking for allies against the dark. We are here to stave off the mind flayers who are trying to come through Kholias."
The elven scouts look at one another, and their leader addresses you. "Mind Flayers? How do you know the nature of the evil in Kholias? We often lead scouting missions into the city and even we are unaware of their hierarchy."
(This is also a good time for me to ask about the Sarris Talisman. Who has it again? And are you wearing it in plain sight? Also who has the Greataxe of Amalkim? And are they hiding it or wielding it?)
Valar will motion for the axe to be brought forward, along with Sanford. "We recovered the Greataxe of Amalkim, Prince Lukianbade us to bring it to you." He points to Sanford. "This one has been in Kholias, and told me of the mind flayers, and their intent to enter or world. I am here to exorcise this taint from our lands and assist you in any way I can. "
The elves gasp as the axe is brought forward, and flinch back when shown Sanford. But when the leader notices the Sarris Talisman around Thelanis' neck, he let's out a cry and addresses you in Common. "The Sarris Talisman! You were sent by Prince Lukian? From where have you travelled!? Will you come to see our King?" It's rare to see an elf flustered, but you have introduced so much shocking information that this elf is truly rattled.
The scout's leader, Vasandoral, nods and then looks at Sanford, "This man has clearly fallen to the mind-curse, I will need you to assure me he will not be permitted to walk freely amongst my people. And with most of your party being non-elf, do you have any way of assuring that you will not succumb to this m madness either?" He all of a sudden looks somewhat concerned.
“I’ve been blessed in the same way, and we’re both pretty good at recognizing the effects of the taint in our companions.” Thelanis is trying to judge the reaction of people to her wearing the amulet. Is she pissing off any of these elves? [[Insight 11]]
Thelanis tries to tell Valar out of earshot of Sanford, “I think we should keep Sanford gagged as much as we can, and as isolated from people other than me and you as we can. He brings the madness with him and we should be working to contain its spread.”

Vasandoral nods at your assurances, but keeps an eye on Amiz, Alsen, and especially Sanford. "Then let's be off, there is no time to wait any longer." He leads you another couple miles along the river before it runs past a large rock formation. As you get close to these rocks, you realize that an encampment has been erected around the formation. More than an encampment, these are actual buildings, clearly recently restored by the elves. You can still see some of the original construction of houses built directly into the rocks, while the Fallen Elves have put up their own temporary building materials of a kind of wood/metal hybrid. Vasandoral leads you through the camp and you see many elves, all looking t be the same age. Although Draíocht would notice that these elves are all of different ages, yet their long lives and natural glamour give them a mask of eternal beauty. One thing you all notice is the complete absence of children among them. The smell here is of light spices and pleasant incense. The Fallen Elves look at you interestedly but not overly so, they all seem to be completely engrossed in their own business.
Eventually you're brought to a house built into the side of a rock with a front facade of the elven wood-like material. Vasandoral beckons you all to come inside with him while his scouts wait out front. You walk into a room with many small tables, all with scribes working frantically taking notes and not even looking up to acknowledge your presence. The scout leader asks you to wait while he goes in to talk to his King.

He agrees, "This wouldn't be a prudent time for an outburst from him."
Thelanis is nervous as anything right now. She doesn’t feel worthy of this powerful elven artifact for good, and is paranoid the elves are going to take insult to her wearing it and they will end up in a huge fight and she’ll kill dozens of good people and her paladinhood will be stripped and she be driven mad and wind up as Sanford’s wife.

As those thoughts run through Thelanis’ head, the scout captain comes back out with another elf who looks very similar to the others. Light brown hair and eyes, he wears a circlet on his head denoting some notion of nobility. He waves you all in.
When you enter the next room you find a small meeting chamber, and for the first time in over a week, you all sit down on chairs. The brown haired man waves to you all, “My name is King Ivaran Eldari, and I have been told you have been sent by my son to deliver certain items to us. Tell me all you know, and show me the Sarris Talisman if you will.”
Valar explains, "We recovered the Greataxe of Amalkim by destroying the foul beast who possessed it in the mines near here. Prince Lukianbade us to bring it to you. While enroute here, we cleared an evil presence from a church, and within the church we found a shrine where we were given a new charge by our gods, and where the talisman was found."
King Ivaran nods as you tell your story, and as he notices the Talisman on Thelanis' neck his eyes widen. But he quickly regains his composure before he responds. "Tell me, have you any indication why my son has asked you to do this? He left this camp weeks ago in the company of a Wood Elf and the thief Erret Stonefoot. To be honest, I had little hope of coming to an agreement with The Scarecrow, but Lukian so wished to go, I knew I could not stop him. I hope this whole adventure wasn't in the hope that bringing the axe to me would buy my partnership on ANOTHER war against Kholias. Because we see and feel all around us the fallout of our last alliance with The Scarecrow." The King of the Elves seems somewhat skeptical of your presence and motives, while Vasandoral's face remains impassive as he stands to his King's side silently.
