I look at Kuuraht [insight 6, (it's pretty obvious)]
"We need more answers...I went into criminal rings to find out who our quote-unquote lord was, was that all fake? I saw people die too many times to count, not by my hands either. You can't just brush off our pasts as if they never existed, I...no...we need an explanation."
I try to intimidate them into talking [Intimidation: 20 (nat 20)]
(OOC: Dry said "they" for the target of the check, idk who they meant.)
Fafnir, startled by Saferetan, jumps up, then sighs. "We really don't know much else. That's our current goal- to find out exactly what's happening and how to destroy Vecna."

“Will there be danger?” Calanin asks. He’s shaking with nervousness.
OoC: Wasn’t Fafnir a guy from Norse mythology who turned into a dragon? (Won’t go into any more details cause it’s pretty disgusting.)
OoC: I am not going to put my full faith into Fafnir, as I am worried about their possible greed/liabilities. I feel as if they will betray us with a little money persuasion or bribes.

OoC: Nice, we have smart people in the party. Matthÿse is just too trusting cause he feels like they saved our lives from dying in Hell.
Fafnir, startled by Saferetan, jumps up, then sighs. "We really don't know much else. That's our current goal- to find out exactly what's happening and how to destroy Vecna."
"Does that mean we're going back to Nessus to investigate? Or would there be a different objective for now? And I say 'we' because I'm assuming you're gonna need all the help you can get. And I want to find out the truth as much as everyone here."
After a moment of pause, he'll say "And I have to ask... If Vecna tricked and trapped the gods... wouldn't my connection to my deity be severed?"

OoC: My character was in criminal rings, they know not to trust all people, and they think that this Fafnir guy is very suspicious.
"Matthÿse, There is a possibility that the gods can still help you is because it's more fun for Vecna. I guess at home they used to like playing with food..."

"Matthÿse, There is a possibility that the gods can still help you is because it's more fun for Vecna. I guess at home they used to like playing with food..."
"That's how weak Vecna thinks we are..." I growl
"Damned Hells... If that's true, then we definitely have to prove it wrong. That thing needs to be stopped."
And Matthÿse looks like he's becoming angry after Saferetan basically said we're Vecna's toys. And that hurts his pride.
I look at Matthÿse, concerned I did something.[Insight: 22 (18 + 4) ]
I see that I hurt his pride, and he's angry, "Remember, it's only a possibility, Matthÿse...Can I call you Matt? Don't get too upset, Vecna's hubris and arrogance are going to be his downfall. I don't think Vecna can look over this many worlds without a weakness."
OoC: I feel as if one of the hardest parts of this is trying to figure out where you are.
" *Sigh* Calanin, Kuuraht! I think we all need to know each other more if we want even some trust between all of us!" I yell. I look around to see where they are.
OoC: Why have people not had their characters appearance put down or a backstory :/
OoC: I posted his appearance. He's a large amethyst dragonborn (6'8" tall, 231 lbs), wearing vestments underneath his heavy armor, wielding a warhammer and a shield. His horns have chunks of amethyst that float at the tips (as if they were supposed to be attached) the same as his tail (three amethyst chunks float at the tip of his tail).
OoC: I didn't get around to write the backstory (it started quickly but i ran with what I had), but I chose the Sage background. And being a follower of a deity of war and justice (Tyr) meant that combat training was part of his religious upbringing. Being part of the "games" was his purpose (or so he thought) because it meant someone else could be spared. And if he won, he was hoping to change the rules so it wouldn't be a deadly sport (wishful thinking).

Matthÿse looks over at Saferetan and gulps down whatever he was eating.
"What do you want to know? I believe I already told you all that I'm good at fighting and I can heal using my connection to the divine a limited amount of times daily. Which is why I was concerned when Freytha and Fafnir said the gods had been tricked and trapped."
"I feel like we should know each other a little more personally...And I know about you, but what about the others? We also need to talk about the situation we are in"
I hear them, I do. They want to know about me, about my people. But... I don't trust them. Any of them. The Dragonborn was alright, to a degree. But if my life's taught me anything, even if it's a fabricated existence, it's that trust freely given is often better lost.
"Does my growing up starved and homeless really have anything to do with my effectiveness in combat with the rest of you? Sorry, I don't buy it."
OoC: I mentioned his life in the streets before, back when everyone thought the food was poisoned, so this shouldn't be new information.

Matthÿse takes in what Saferetan is saying and is calming down.
"You may call me Matt. And you're right... It must have a weakness we can exploit. Vecna will toy with us no longer. Or anyone else for that matter."
He keeps shoving food and drink into his mouth with whatever the equivalent to a pouting expression a dragonborn can make.
