Pisgah tells Rico "I got hit a little and wouldn't turn down a bandage. I have my own medkit so you don't have to use your supplies on me but I am not much of a healer. This is really just for emergencies. I have it in my backpack so if any of us ever need it, you are welcome to grab it."
After Rico bandages his wounds, Pisgah will begin to collect the dropped weapons while keeping an eye on the collection of bandits. He [Tooltip Not Found] the weapons as he gathers them, skill check 10. He places them in a pile out of reach of the bandits.
Pisgah approaches the leader tells him "Please remain calm, you've surrendered and we aren't going to harm you. This is for your safety and ours. You are only being detained temporarily." and begins to bind his wrists together. Sleight of Hand 11 OR [Tooltip Not Found] 8; (OOC: To Preyfire, not sure which roll you would want.)
It only takes a couple of seconds for the practiced Rico to bind Pisgah's wound. Perhaps there is some magic involved, because it feels better immediately. (heals 12 hp)
After Pisgah calls out asking if she's OK, Canti pokes her head back into the room, finally believing her ears. After verifying with her eyes what she thought she heard — that the fake vampire and his crew had surrendered — the gnome trots in. "All fine here," she says to the genasi. (She had completely missed his rage tail!) After the leader says his piece of a secret stash, Canti begins walking around the room, searching for anything else secret. While doing so, she happily accepts back the two undamaged arrows Rico picked up for her. Pausing, Canti comments, "Your big guy did great, but I think he should stick with you," she smiles. "You two are a team." She then continues looking around the room.
“I am not unimpressed by your enterprise here” Jaya says with a smirk. “Now tell me, what exactly are these and what do they do?”
The leader spits out an ugly mixture of blood and saliva. He looks at the two items with a frown. "That's a bloody die. You roll it." "The other is Rooks horn. Said it helped him hear things better. Not that he needs it anymore." The leader looks at one of the corpses.
Pisgah binds the bandits hands. (DM: If you expend a rope, Hempen (50 feet), no skill check necessary. If you improvise something, sleight of hand is fine).
Canti, scanning the room you find nothing out of the ordinary. The statues clearly depict some people from times long past and they look the part.

Canti, scanning the room you find nothing out of the ordinary. The statues clearly depict some people from times long past and they look the part.
Pisgah is using his 50ft of rope, tying the wrists and then loop A LOT of the rope around his waist and up to his shoulders.
Nikk leans back, thinking. Finally, in Canti's voice, he replies: "Your men. Go. You. Stay. As insurance. When you. Give. Us your. Stash. And your. Information. You can. Go. Too. First. We take. Your. Men to. The exit."
Nikkitch turns to lead the way back, then stops. Turning back over his shoulder, he whispers in the marauder's ear, using Jaya's gravelly tone.
"If you. Leave. Anything. Out. Dragonborn and. Stone man. Beat you. Then we. Throw. You. To first. Monster. We see. Deal?"
He flicks his head to both of the larger warriors. He then turns once more, leading the way to the entry hall.
(DM: going to move it forward a bit since I'm about to go to sleep)
The four bandits let themselves be lead to the entrance room without giving you any trouble. After paying their 4 gold pieces for getting pulled up by Durnan, the bucket lowers itself. One by one, they get drawn up. The tavern noises go from disappointed boos to whoops to laughter as people realize what must have happened. Someone shouts for the city guard.
The leader then leads you deeper into the bandits' hideout, showing you the rooms here. The long hallway going west from the room with the three statues ends in a dead end eventually, but there are two rooms that were obviously occupied by the band.
Room to the north: It looks like a cozy private room with a large round table and chairs at one end. The entire northern wall is one large stone fresco depicting a rugged mountain, hollowed out with caverns containing tiny sculpted figures of dwarves. Behind the mountain, carved rays of brilliant sunlight fan out to the edges of the wall. Beneath the mountain fresco, carved into the floor, is a large, recessed stone tub 8 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 2 feet.
On the table are stacks of coins totaling 220 cp, 91 sp, and 85 gp, as well as a silver ring (25 gp) engraved with gemoetric symbols.
The leader gestures at the haul. "That's all we have gathered in the last few weeks. Can I leave now?"
Pisgah (language: dwarvish): The symbols on the ring are dwarven runes for fertility and sexual potentcy.
The room to the south: Eight bedrolls are spread out on the floor. Two battered and rusty oil lanterns, also on the floor, light the chamber.
Nikkitch thinks for a moment, then cocks his head and nods. He was going to force the fool to serve as his thrall, but that would just be one more mouth to feed.
In Durnan's voice, he replies simply, "Go."
While the others may be more intrigued by the fresco or the money, Nikk finds himself drawn to the statues in the antechamber. He returns to said antechamber and begins a thorough circumspection of the statues, hoping to glean a story or a hint. Maybe there's something hidden...? [Passive Investigation]
Canti is a little disappointed she didn't find anything more interesting in the room and follows behind the others as they send the bandits up and then as the leader gives them a tour of their lair. When they're shown the dead end, she pauses there to inspect the walls and floor for another secret door.
How do you all want to handle coin/treasure. Should we split everything 5 ways when we get it? Or put it all in a document in one place?
any thoughts? Splitting as we go seems easy to me but im open.
[Nikk's still got forty something gold from the pot we each get in the beginning. Take his share and make it a communal coffer. That way, if we find some weird subterranean merchant or hidden society, everyone has spending money for themselves, plus money to put towards team supplies.]
Rico agrees, "Splitting it evenly is the simplest way, especially since we just met each other. We can always change how we do it later."
Rico then starts quickly splitting the coins into 5 piles with the same value, including the 18 counts left from the original 25 after paying for the surviving 7 bandits to leave the dungeon.
Jaya Stack 1: 21GP 15SP 36CP

Not divided: The silver ring (25 gp) engraved with gemoetric symbols, the horn, and the die.
Everyone can take the stack they want (if they have a preference)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Before allowing the bandit leader to leave, Pisgah removed his rope and coils it before putting back in his pack. He looks over the weapons taken from the bandits. He was hoping to pick up a good quality dagger or two. (Investigation 4) As he looks over the weapons, he looks to Jaya and says "I don't see anything worth keeping from this pile but maybe I missed something"
He will take pile 5 ( [ roll ] 1d6-1 [ /roll] ) from the treasure pile. (Min of 1 if roll nets a 0). Pisgah says he is not touching the ring in case it is magic as it has Dwarvish fertility runes on it just in case it may do something unplanned.
He will then go to investigate the fresco on the wall and tub in the floor. Looking to find the purpose of the tub and if it is a bathtub, how it could be filled with water. Investigation for the fresco is 11 and Investigation for the tub is 15.
Rico will take which ever stack is left after everyone else has picked one, since she was the one that divided them.
Meanwhile she'll take a look at the broken staff we found, try to tell how old it is, and try mending it. Not that she can restore the magic if was a broken magic item.
Also Rico can also examine items during a rest. At least I think she can, she's good at Arcana.
(OOC: If I roll a different check than the one you rolled, I'm not ignoring your roll, but just giving more context. If I don't mention anything relating to the roll, there was simply nothing to be found)
After being released and unbound, the bandit leader heads off towards the dungeon exit.
When they're shown the dead end, she pauses there to inspect the walls and floor for another secret door.
Canti: Lots of rubble on the floor here, on account of someone having had the same idea as you and destroyed some of the wall. There is a pick, miner's still lying here. No indication of a secret door though.
He will then go to investigate the fresco on the wall and tub in the floor. Looking to find the purpose of the tub and if it is a bathtub, how it could be filled with water. Investigation for the fresco is 11 and Investigation for the tub is 15.
Pisgah (Perception: 13, for good measure); The stone tub contains a bedroll that someone has clearly used for sleeping. Somewhat covered by the bedroll, you find a set of thieves' tools and various supplies (the contents of an explorer's pack). The tub otherwise seems unremarkable and was probably filled by hand as far as you can tell.
Upon inspecting the fresco closer, something sticks out to you: one of the tiny dwarf figures is the top of a stone key slotted into a cavity that hides its teeth. The key looks like it can be pulled out without resistance.
Meanwhile she'll take a look at the broken staff we found, try to tell how old it is, and try mending it. Not that she can restore the magic if was a broken magic item.
Rico (History: 12); Staffs like that can still be found carried by people in Waterdeep above, so it doesn't seem all that old. When you cast mending on it, it does indeed snap both halves of the staff back together. For a brief moment, that seems to have released some residual magic within the item, for it loudly screams in a high pitched voice: “Help! Thief! Criminal!” The others of the group also hear that scream regardless of in which room you are. After the staff has said its piece, the voice fades out, but it can otherwise still be used as a staff.
He returns to said antechamber and begins a thorough circumspection of the statues, hoping to glean a story or a hint. Maybe there's something hidden...?
Nikk (History: 8, for good measure); The people depicted here seem like nobles from waterdeep, but placed without much rhyme or reason. Their features are weathered away with age. The stone work gives no hints of secret compartments or rotateable pieces. The scrawled text over their name plates looks more like defacement rather than useful information.
Also Rico can also examine items during a rest. At least I think she can, she's good at Arcana.
Anyone can find out what an item does if they focus on it during a short rest (1 hour). The people in the group with arcana proficiency can attempt a regular check to immediately glean some functionality of a magic item, but it won't tell you all it does.
“I am not unimpressed by your enterprise here” Jaya says with a smirk. “Now tell me, what exactly are these and what do they do?”
I will show them the horn and die we found.
