What does Pisgah know about oozes? What he is trying to remember (if he ever knew) is if Oozes are attacked, do they decrease in size? It seemed that this ooze is stuck inside the room but if we attack it, will it shrink down enough to fit in the room or split in two and be able to make it through? SURVIVAL roll of 22 or NATURE roll of 4.
As he is thinking about this and as the ooze moves back into the room and clears the doorway, Pisgah rushes down the wall and across the hall to close the door. Once it is closed, he will dash after ArdneK.
Since Pisgah has fought an ooze just like this before (well, one half the size anyway), he can surmise that it won't be able split into smaller versions of itself. It seems eternally stuck in a cubic shape. Pisgahs inner survivalist wonders about the abnormal size of the cube. These oozes were often of magical origins, experiments of crazed wizards gone awry. Perhaps the skull floating within the monsters body had something to do with all of this. After all, there had been campfire tales about dwarves that were able to enlarge themselves. A coincidence?
The door is shut, the ooze once again alone in the room, dissolving the last of the bugbears flesh.
Pisgah catches up with ArdneK and once they arrive with the rest of the party tells them what he saw, how the ooze could not leave the room, describing the dwarven skull that is not dissolved and how that seems at odds with the rate that the bugbear body was being absorbed. "I have an idea. I can go back to door 1 and begin feeding the ooze the bodies we need to get rid of. Once the bodies are dissolved, we can open doors 1, 2, and 3, then kill the ooze with ranged attacks from outside the room. Then we can reclaim the skull of the dwarf and put it to rest, maybe alongside Jaya. There may also be other things of interest in the room once it is safe to enter."
"Okay, I concede the point. I don't like the idea of leaving the dwarf skull in there and don't understand why it isn't dissolved as well. Oliver would not like it but it would take a lot just to bury a skull. Let's head back up to where the bodies are and I'll take care of it."
Getting back to door #1, Pisgah opens the door and begins chunking in dead bodies. He'll ask Rico to have Steel help push Shunn's body into the room after the rest have been moved in. Once that is done, he'll wait till the coast is clear again and close the door.
"Be sure to stay about 5 feet from the door. We don't want to accidentally get caught by the living garbage disposal."
While working on feeding the bodies through the door to the ooze, "Hey, ArdneK, do you think you could break in to Yek's treasury and plant the key to Shunn's silver chest in there somewhere? I could help kind of give you a boost to make it a little easier as well. "
The humongous ooze has much to do. As you pile in the bodies, it dutifully, no, eagerly, dissolves each body, taking on multiple at a time. The cubic body is very well visible as multiple skeletons float in it now, the bones first getting cleaned of any meat, then even that gives way. The only thing that remains is the grinning dwarven skull.
While the bodies are moved into the cube room, ArdneK keeps watch, hiding in the shadows, rapier in hand on high alert. While skilled at creating bodies, he never got into the business of moving them. Additionally, they seem very heavy.
"Espionage? sounds delightful" he says to Pisgah's request, then hearing Nikk's offer, the diminutive kobold smiles, "I like you guys. Let's do it! I'm assuming your ... ok ... if I take a few baubles from said treasury?"
Rico can surmise that the skull is being preserved magically, likely by a more powerful version of protection from energy. This spell must have been applied after the original owner of the skeleton was already dead, so whoever was responsible for the preservation was probably also involved in the creation of the gargantuan gelatinous cube.

The wizard cocks his head for a moment, weighing his options. Finally, he replies in the kobold's mirrored voice: "I. Have. No. Qualms. Provided. You. Don't. Mind. Looking. For. Magic. Scrolls. Or. Books. Too."

"Not so much espionage as it would be evidence tampering. I really would like to plant this silver key to Shunn's chest inside Yek's treasure vault. We can then tip off Xanathar's guild about it and we are in the clear for Shunn's indiscretion in attacking us. Yek's vault is inside a guarded room off of the goblin market. We know that in another room off the market, they are holding a prisoner named Copper Stormforge. He was part of a group that had betrayed someone we met. I think we can cause a little bit of a ruckus with Copper, enough to distract the door guards at Yek's treasury, and let you slip inside to plant this key and take anything you think you can lift that would be off interest."
Pisgah has a rough idea of thieves cant. You've seen shady elements making gestures and sounds that seemed strange without context, but clearly served a higher purpose. The language itself is evasive and often changes between locales.
Pisgah follows up his comments to ArdneK with, "I don't mean to stereotype, but don't you sneaky/stealthy types have like a secret handshake or language sort of thing going that you use to recognize each other? Do you think you could use that to help locate or draw the attention of the wererats? Since they were opposed to Shunn's group, they may take kindly to word of his demise and may be an ally for us, at least in so far as their influence reaches."
“I love requests!” the kobold says to the Kenku. “I know the power of the right book in the right hands! I will keep my eye out.”
“Playing others against the guild huh? Dangerous, but certainly entertaining! I will do what I can to help sow the seeds of suspicion! I just hope there is someone to poke to he says” looking at his rapier, “I am quite good at that too. Ok, where to, off to the goblin market?”

"We could just throw the bodies in, close the door and move on? Leave the ooze alone" ArdneK says.
"I'm with the new guy," Canti says, throwing a thumb at ArdneK.

Rico and Steel will help carry bodies as well. Although she's small, Rico is actually quite strong.

The kenku clears his throat and speaks aloud in Shunn's authoritative tone. "I. Can. Turn. You. Invisible, if. Need. Be."

"Any thoughts on what the skull might be and why it isnt dissolved? "

Rico searches her extensive memory for reasons that bone might survive being dissolved.
