The statue is dragged into the space between the caryatids, now standing in the middle of the light. The quadrone looks at your actions with some amount of suspicion, but doesn't interfere, continuing marching. Nothing happens.
Pisgah walks around to the rest of the group, "Maybe the quadrone was trying to tell us the opposite and this does petrify living beings. Let's pull the goat out so I can get my rope and then go see what is down the hallway past the sarcophagus room with the Owlbears."
Canti watches with excitement as the others prepare and then move the petrified goat into the light. After nothing happens, she droops. "Elf magic," she repeats, sounding disappointed.

The gray-haired gnome nods, deciding this is a puzzle they don't have the time or need to figure out.
Upon Cantis utterance of "elf magic", the statues suddenly react. Once again, there is a flash, the center of the room being filled with light.
When the glow subsides, there is a tug on the rope. The goat bleats hoarsely, making a few wobbly steps forward. It looks around wildly, inspecting the environment, it's nostrils flaring.
OOC: Preyfire, in your mind, where is Pisgah in relation to the rest of the team and the goat? Is he walking to the other side, already with them and holding the rope, or still on the opposite side pushing with the javelin when Canti utters Elf Magic?
Canti's face opens into a look of surprise and joy. "It worked!" she exclaims. "Wait!" she says as the others appear to be preparing to move the goat. "Elf magic!" she calls, this time boldly.

[Mostly up to you, but I supposed that Pisgah was already on his way back to the group.]
When Canti calls out the words again, the pillars produce the flash as commanded. The goat remains unpetrified, slightly startled by the light, tugging feebly at the rope.
Pisgah runs to grab the rope and begins to reel in the goat. "Now that we have a live goat, we have three choices as I see it. One, we give the goat a quick death and toss a haunch to each Owlbear. Two, we let the goat go and push it down the hallway but then we have to deal with the Owlbears. Or Three, show the goat to the Owlbears and then let it run down the hallway hopefully taking the Owlbears after it. "
When nothing happens, Canti shrugs. "Worth a shot," she says more to herself.
After Pisgah's questions, Canti replies, "I know owlbears eat animals in the wild. And I eat goat on the regular. But it seems kind of mean to un-petrify a goat and then immediately make it supper. Especially when the owlbears seem satisfied with the rations. What if we just take the goat with us in case we can use it later?"
"I think we need to let that wait a beat or two. We need to get past the Owlbears while they are still somewhat pacified. I want to see what is past the room with the sarcophagi."
Pisgah will coil the rope around his waist till there is about a 6 foot lead for the goat, then start walking through the room to the hallway ArdneK scouted out.
The goat bleats miserably when it sees the owlbears, trying to distance itself from the monstrosities. The two bears are still chewing on the rest of the rations, having settled down into a sort of doze. They don't show a special interest in the goat at the moment. and Pisgah gets through the room and to the beginning of the hallway without issue.
"I'd rather not feed the goat to the owlbears, that doesn't seem like a good way to return to awareness. Let's close the door to here and go investigate past the owlbears, we can come back and decide who we may want to un-petrify. At least that is my vote."
The party moves forward carefully and inspects the hallway for anything out of the ordinary.
But despite your best efforts, one of the barbarians' steps is met with an foreboding *click* from a well hidden pressure plate, as you're about halfway up the corridor. A split second later, there is a crash from further ahead.
A 10-foot-diameter stone sphere painted to look like a bloodshot eyeball thunders around the corner and careens down the sloped hallway toward you!
This is handled in Initiative! This represents how quickly the pcs manage to react to this trap. 1. Canti and ArdneK < YOUR TURN 2. Stone sphere (predicted movement already shown on map) 3. Rico, Steel and Pisgah (+ Cabrito (c), moves with Pisgah) < YOUR TURN
[I've already drawn the spheres movement this turn on the map, so even though Pisgah and Rico react slower, you can take your turn.] [By the same token, ArdneK and Canti get two turns before the sphere moves further.]
[On its turn, the sphere moves 60 feet down the slope. It will also move around corners, as it has already demonstrated.]
Canti's mind goes blank, and her survival instincts kick in. "Run!" She turns and runs as fast as her little legs will carry her back down the hallway. Her goal will be to get into the room and around the corner.

" works for me! I will call it Cab. Short for Cabrito. Let me lead it, at least past the Owlbears, in case they get hungry again. "
Rico asks, "Do we want to start unpetrifying the people next? Or come back to do it later?"

"Agreed! But let's be on guard against any trap that may have produced the statues."
Canti follows, happy the others agreed to spare the goat ... for now.
Rico and Steel take up their position guarding the rear.
Moving more carefully down the hallway, Pisgah is looking for any sort of trap that may explain the statues. PERCEPTION roll of 11
