Nikkitch, of course, will start with fire, though when he utters the incantation, it's in a strange sequence of unnaturally deep grunts, growls and malign utterances, made worse still by the rasping wheeze of the corpse's voice.
DM Note: Nikk: ranged attacks (counts for ranged spell attacks too) on prone targets have disadvantage. You still hit in this instance. That was almost 100 points of damage!
We're out of initiative!
The party completely overwhelms the troll. With each strike rending the creatures flesh, you are so coordinated that it doesn't get a chance to react. The troll stays where it slept, slumped to the ground, dead.
With the wretch fallen, Nikkitch is quick to begin drawing fat from the monster's foul rippling flesh folds. He quickly begins prodding fattier deposits, looking for an adequate tap, all the while humming a soft tune in Harria's voice.
"Well, I am fairly well spent. I guess I didn't need to rage after all. I expected that troll was going to be a bigger fight than it was. I think we have explored all of this area except for the door leading south out of the room where the manticore's were being held. Since there was a ward on the door to get into the room, and there was the troll past the manticore's, I am thinking that the southern set of doors has got to be hiding something big. This place stinks pretty bad. Once Nikkitch finishes rendering the troll fat how about we go check that out?"
"Ah, yes, I forgot about those. Those two passages may be the best to pursue for now. We haven't disturbed whatever is behind the doors off the manticore room so it is most likely safe to leave that room for now and keep going down those passages."
"Well, that answers that. Guess the next area is the doors south out of the manticore room." Pisgah will take the horn of hearing and listen at the doors leading south from the manticore room.
Nikkitch quietly approaches the door. His eyes pan the door, searching for signs of magical influence, as well as further checking for any indication of traps or nasty surprises.
Rico will also make two long sword attacks at the prone (but now awake) troll. (with advantage from him being prone).
Attack 17 damage 11
Attack 29 (crit) damage 16
Steel will attack with his Force-Empowered Rend (also with advantage)
Attack: 26 Damage: 14
Canti aims at the prone troll and fires two arrows.
Attack 1: 11 Damage: 9
Attack 2: 18 Damage: 8

Jaya forgoes the shield and swings his longsword, two handed:
Attack 1: to hit: 24 damage: 9
Attack 2: to hit: 23 damage: 8

Everyone gets an additional 460 XP for defeating the troll.
OOC: How much time has elapsed since we entered the dungeon?

I think we still have this room where the troll was eating and we gave him the manticore leg. Looks like 2 passages in there still.
"Ah, yes, I forgot about those. Those two passages may be the best to pursue for now. We haven't disturbed whatever is behind the doors off the manticore room so it is most likely safe to leave that room for now and keep going down those passages."
The two passages branching out from the trolls dinner room are easily scouted and both lead into collapsed sections of the dungeon.
"Well, that answers that. Guess the next area is the doors south out of the manticore room." Pisgah will take the horn of hearing and listen at the doors leading south from the manticore room.
PERCEPTION roll of 16
No sound is to be heard from beyond the door.
Wasn't that where we entered the manticore room?
Nevermind, checked the old maps, I was remembering it wrong.
OOC: we entered from the west side
Remembering the trapped door leading to this room, Pisgah asks Nikk if there are magical traps on the doors.
Nikkitch quietly approaches the door. His eyes pan the door, searching for signs of magical influence, as well as further checking for any indication of traps or nasty surprises.

[Perception: 17]
Nikkitch doesn't percieve more than the barbarian and he can be quite sure that there is no arcane rune or any other magic tampering on this door.
Pisgah tries to quietly open the doors, STEALTH of 3 (on a nat 1).....
