"I am feeling a little drained but still have some fight in me. I don't think we have been down here long enough to need to find a place to sleep. Maybe I will after the next fight we get into.
"Ah, I see. Well stay hidden, stay quiet, and be ready to pop a healing potion in one of us if we go down. Also, feel free to repeat past, uhm, dealings if needed."
Pisgah returns to the group. "There is an area to the east that we still have not explored and the are no sounds coming from behind that door. The bugbear guards said to take the south passage which would lead us to Shunn. Either the goblins we heard chanting down the hallway to our north are with Shunn OR Shunn will be somewhere down the east hallway. If Shunn is north of us with the goblins, could we be at risk of an ambush if the goblins don't keep quiet?"
After conferring with Jaya, Pisgah says "Ah, I forgot about the statue being buried in the rubble. Alright, let's head to the east doors and go on through." Pisgah heads back to the collapsed hall and opens the double doors leading east.
(Assuming the standard marching order with an invisible Kenku in the middle)
(We've had multiple sets of directions that Shunn is though the east doors where we are heading, as well as the stairway down. Rico will watch the rear as usual, but not expecting trouble there.)
Pisgah opens the door into a corridor that continues east around a bend. However, there is also a passage to the south that leads into a hallway brightly lit by flickering tallow candles that float in shallow niches along the walls. The illuminated hallway goes from east to west. At the west end, where the candles stop and the hallway is once again dark, it splits into a west and southward direction. At the east end, the hallway continues around a bend and out of sight.
Nikk and Rico [Passive Investigation]: The hallway with the floating candles is distinct from all other corridors you have encountered so far in that it is very clean, as if freshly wiped and washed.
Canti and Pisgah [Passive Survival]: Tracks of goblinoids frequent the dark hallway going to the east. There are no tracks going to the lit hallway to the south.
"Let's continue going east and follow the goblin tracks for a bit. Nikk, while you are hidden, trail along behind the group and give an alarm if anything comes up behind us from the corridor to the south. You guys let me range out ahead about 15 or 20 feet. I'll motion to you if it looks safe around the corner."
Canti wonders aloud quietly, "Something special has to be that way," she says, looking south toward the lit up hallway. She turns to look at the nearest adventurer. "Right?"
Noiselessly, Pisgah moves up to the corner in the eastern hallway. He sees that the hallway continues some 100 feet, curving around a bend and finally ending in a door. On the way there, you see an alcove in the north wall. Carved into the back wall of this alcove is a shallow niche containing a bas-relief sculpture of a nude, heavyset man playing a harp. Lying on the floor is what looks to be one broken half of a 10-foot pole.
Pisgah, thanks to his keen eyes, spots a faint inscription upon the harp that the sculpture is holding:
Gaze upon me with bronzed visage And secrets shall I reveal.
Pisgah will motion the others forward. When they get to the corner he tells them of the inscription on the harp and asks if anyone knows what it may mean. He then tells them to hold here at the corner while he goes to listen at the door with the horn.
Rico says, "I will go take a look at it. It almost sounds like it is describing me, but I am made of brass, not bronze. Still, I am skilled with mechanisms and magic."
Rico will investigate that area, looking for anything that looks magical or mechanical.
Pisgah: Behind the door, you indeed her the gruff voices of two bugbears conversing. They seem some distance off, to the north, but they're still within the same room that the door leads into. They speak goblin and only converse in short comments, being mostly silent.
Rico: Inspecting the alcove, you make out arcane sigils placed in regular instances. Their presence and the fact that they seem to be incorporating the bas-relief makes you quite certain that this is some magical conjuration device. What it conjures and in which direction it works isn't clear, could be both ways. Assuming the inscription on the satyr statue isn't meant to mislead, it seems fulfilling the listed condition and standing within the alcove would activate the conjuration magic. Possibly only for the person or people that fulfill the condition.

I'm ready to head out."
Nikkitch nods, though realizes the irrelevance of it, given his invisibility.
"I will. Fight. If. Absolutely. Necessary. But I'd. Rather remain. Hidden. In the. Guild's. Presence."
"Nikk, you seem familiar with the guild and seem to really not have them see you. What kind of trouble are you in with this Xanathar's Guild?"
"....."
"........"
He doesn't answer immediately. It's not obvious whether or not it's out of embarrassment or a reluctance to divulge information.
"Had... Dealings. In the. Past. Didn't. Go. Well. Blew up. Minions. Other problems. Doubt these. Are. Exact. Same. Group. But. Would. Rather. Not tempt. Fate."

Time: Another hour has passed while you spoke with the goblins and examined the rooms so far. Those who use them, please mark off a torch.
DM Comment: I'm currently assuming that the party is discussing all of this in the archway room. Here's a visual aid on your current position.
Pisgah returns to the room in the southeast corner of the map.
Perception roll of 25 (nat 20) to listen at the east door with the horn.
Pisgah detects nothing moving. It is very quiet behind this door.

Rico comments, "From what we were told, the stairway down was to the east. But do you want to check out this area first?"
