Jaya asks Halleth “Tell me about Copper, what is his race and what skills does he have as an adventurer? (ie: Class) Perhaps with this knowledge we maybe able to get to him easier for you.”
Jaya will have whispered conversations with the party members… “Thoughts on Halleth verse his friends? Do we take a side here or let them just have at it? Perhaps they would be allies, or perhaps they are just shitty people and the undead deserves his revenge?”
DM: Everything in the PHB means all of the gear that can be found in the equipment section.
Pisgah saw two dozen goblins in the market, additional seven constructing the stage in the northern side room and he heard at least one goblin prisoner. There were at least three entryways you didn't see into yet too.
Halleth responds to Jaya: "Copper Stormforge is a male dwarf with copper-orange hair and beard. He wears leather armor and most often uses his daggers and shortbow. He's good at hiding and putting on a benevolent face. His smile is a facade." The undead sneers the last part, as if remembering some particularly nasty detail.
The room with the pump is quite sizeable. At the south end it leads into a corridor that goes east and west. To the west, a corridor leads around a corner to a door.
The pump is made of iron and has gathered an inordinate amount of rust. Yet, Pisgah is fairly sure that is has been used recently, as the rust has been removed at the hand-crank. From the wet floor, Pisgah can deduce that this pump delivers water.
"Folks, looks like we can get water from here if needed, maybe. I am going to check that door to the northwest if some of you want to check the rest of the room."
Behind the door to the northwest, Pisgah can hear the faint clinking of glass against glass and the sound of liquid being poured. Occasionally there is a faint chuckling, and a voice murmuring something too quiet to understand. There seems to be only one voice.
Nikk does his thing, sweeping the room with some level of efficiency. He seeks any details that may assist in making their next move, though he also finds himself weary of his low magical power.
Rico investigates the pump, checking to see how well it still works, and maybe doing a little maintenance to improve it if there is something she can do quickly such as mending a broken part, or cleaning the rust off with prestidigitation.
Nikkitch finds nothing out of the ordinary. He is able to determine that at least the pathway to the pump has been well frequented, presumably by the goblins and/or the guild, judging by the lack of debris and the water on the floor around the pump. The design seems fairly standard, something you'd expect to see up in Waterdeep too. There is the question of the water supply: if the pump draws water, where from? Depending on how deep the pump went, it could be that it would ultimately lead to the third dungeon floor and the source of the water.
Rico finds that the pump is in bad shape, clearly having been installed a long time ago and never cleaned or repaired. The crank is missing a piece and it's covered with rust. The rust eventually yields after multiple prestidigitation applications and you're able to locate the missing piece of the crank and use mending to fix it back to its proper place.
Canti sees Rico cleaning up the pump and pulls a funny little device out of her pack. It looks like a kind of pocket watch with a crystal sticking out of the top. "Here," she says, pushing a button on the device, "let me help."
OOC: The device is one of the ways Canti performs prestidigitation. This is a cleaning device.
Rico nods at Canti and says, "Thank you. I know there is no real purpose to mending the pump, but fixing things has been my purpose in life since I was first built."
"After you guys are done with the pump, there is someone behind that door. Sounds like they are talking to themselves but I heard two glasses clinking together. Could that be Shunn? Do we go confront Shunn or try to avoid them?"
“Let’s open the door and see what’s there. Eventually we’ll run into Shunn and will have to deal with him. Who knows, maybe it will be good.” Jaya says with a shrug.
As Pisgah tries to open the door, it first doesn't budge. Someone has put some furniture behind it by the sounds of it. But ultimately these are no match for the barbarian and the door flies open. The furniture crashes to the side.
The first thing that you see is an animated, life-size puppet of a rather imposing and old wizard, hard at work on an experiment. The puppet is made primarily of wood and canvas, with a shoddy gray cloak draped over its shoulders. Dozens of cloth eyes have been sewn into the cloak.
The puppet looms over a stone table covered with dusty alchemical equipment and vials of various solid and liquid substances. At the west end of the north wall of the room, you see another door, similarly barricated to the one you just opened.
As it sees you, the puppet becomes agitated, gesturing in your direction and shouting with an old mans voice: “Terrible and painful magical death! Fireballs and lightning bolts! Begone!”
Canti, Nikk, Rico [History & Arcana]: No doubt about it, that figure is supposed to look like Halaster Blackcloak, the mad mage. Canti, Rico [Tinkers Tools]: The puppet doesn't actually seem all that mechanical, probably held up by enchantment, rather than mechanical skill. Canti [Alchemist's Supplies]: The tools the puppet is using seem genuine, but the substances are not. Whatever the thing has mixed up, it hasn't produced anything valuable or dangerous so far.
Pisgah slips back to the party and relays what he saw and confirms North just loops back to the market. We need to head south thru the pump room.
[OoC: Everything in the PHB...?]

Rico responds, "I willI leave that up to the rest of you to decide, I don't know this area at all. But I will back you up whichever you decide."
The kenku shakes his head. "If. You. Do. Seek. Him. Out. I will. Wait. Beyond. His line. Of. Sight. It is. A. Matter. Of. Precaution."
“Let’s open the door and see what’s there. Eventually we’ll run into Shunn and will have to deal with him. Who knows, maybe it will be good.” Jaya says with a shrug.
"Okay, here we go." Once we are ready to enter the room, Pisgah will open the door.
As Pisgah tries to open the door, it first doesn't budge. Someone has put some furniture behind it by the sounds of it. But ultimately these are no match for the barbarian and the door flies open. The furniture crashes to the side.

Pisgah will step 15 feet into the room to clear the doorway and "Easy there. We're all friends here. In fact, we've come to help you."
