The man is pressed against the door, in his face a turmoil of emotions. With her training in medicine, Rico can see that his mind is unable to comprehend the situation in its reality. This man is afflicted and won't recover quickly. Only higher restorative magic might be able to help, the sort only provided in houses of healing, and seldom cheap. Halleth also voices this opinion, saying "Even if I had my focus, I would not be able to wield such divine power."
The wizard sinks down to the floor, drawing his legs up and holding up his hands protectively.
"I know master, you can do anything! Nobody can stand against your might! I'll be calm. I'll be calm. I'll be calm."
He now just sits there, breathing heavily, trying not to move.
"Maybe somebody should pretend to be Hallester," Canti wonders allowed, not really speaking to anyone in particular. "He's clearly not right in the head. He might not notice that it isn't he."
Pisgah snarls at the wizard, "OH shut up you sniveling fool. Can you not tell when I am disguised? You likely don't even know the spell you simpleton! Tell me what I last had you working on and how have you failed me this time! Do you even remember the orders I gave you, fool? "
The man is utterly terrified of Pisgah, his boots scraping on the ground as if trying to shove himself through the wall.
"M-master I didn't expect you to be here! An honor for you to grace this lowly place with your presence!" He looks confused at the question, but stammers out: "Extradimensional spaces master! Since only you know the secrets of teleportation within the dungeon, you wanted me to explore the extended applications such as those theorized and stipulated by Leomund & Mordenkainen in their important work Architecture. I managed to shunt a large part of my study into a set place... but." He looks devastated. "I-I forgot the sequence. I trapped myself."
His eyes glaze over, as if dissociating himself from the present moment. "I'm not sure how long I was there, master. I forgot how the arcane chambers looked. I forgot so much..." The man seems suddenly exhausted, his words becoming quieter. He looks completely lost.
Rico has no issues repairing the sword, as she has the metal scraps (1) and tools required to mend the damage. The same goes for crafting the arrows and the torches (mechanically, you only need wood, flavor wise we can say Rico gets creative with the "burning part", I'll leave it to you what she uses).
Clever, and impressive. I fear this mage is beyond our help right now. Perhaps you can convince him to stay here and rest? Maybe time will give him some clarity?
Then he says out loud.
“Perhaps its time for us to move on, let the good mage rest a bit?”
OOC: Rico, I'm carrying 5 metal scraps for you, just a reminder if you need them.
Pisgah nods to Jaya and to the wizard barks out, "You are a disgrace you drunken fool. Stay here, get supplies from the goblin market, stay sober and reflect. Perhaps when I return, your mind will recall what I need to know. Rest and sober up, Now go crawl to your bed and sleep."
Pisgah motions to the rest of the party to move to the far side of the room. In a whispered voice, "Nikk, what can you make of the wizards words?"
Jaya looks at Nikk and, all of a sudden, blurts out in draconic...
a string of profanities...
You’re obviously a master of mimicry, do you know the voice of this Hallaster? If not, we should try and find it, it would be like currency! Halleth, have you ever heard Hallaster speak by chance, a magic mouth, a glyph, anything?
Marked off one metal scrap for repairing the sword
Marked off a metal scraps to make 10 arrow heads.
Can arrows be made from wood scraps? If so, how many scraps for 10 arrows? Otherwise, anyone object from her taking the pike handle to use to make 10 arrows? I think that was the original plan.
Looks like she doesn't have enough hide scraps (yet) to make a hide bag.

The kenku gives the Dragonborn a sideways glance. He'd raise an eyebrow if he had one. As a native of Waterdeep, surely he knows...?
"Hallaster. Is. Dead. Hallaster. Has. Been. Dead. Any. Trace. We. Find. Of. Him. Will. Likely. Be. Aged. Faded."
The wizard whimpers at Pisgahs words. "Yes master, as you command. I'll get better, I promise"
Halleth, thoughtful, responds to Pisgah: "I have heard whispers of such things, but not encountered his voice myself. According to Durnan, the barkeep up in the tavern, Halaster has enchanted much of this place according to his liking and, most of the traps here were set by him. It's only a matter of time until we run into something."
Rico: yeah, only woods scraps needed, mostly to keep crafting relatively simple.
The kenku looks the wizard in the eyes, trying to discern any hint of disingenuousness. At the same time, he eyes the circle, though knowing to repair a magic circle and knowing a circle's purpose is entirely different from one another.
The wizard seems to scrared to lie, immediately blurting out whatever is foremost in his mind. There is no falseness that cannot be explained by sheer panic and confusedness.
As for the circle, it seems similar to those used for teleportation circle, but significantly more intricate. The sequence of runes seems like gibberish. A higher form of application that surely has some additional uses. It must have been expensive to set up and the magic has faded now. If the cowering wizard is the one who set it up, he must have been talented when he was still of sane mind.
To be clear, this is a double-ruling, since arrows both show up in the tools section of XGtE and Kibbles Crafting doc. You can choose either. To use XGtE, I would say you need 5 wood scraps to produce 10 arrows.
To use Kibbles, it lists [1 common branch, 1 metal scraps, 1 fletching]. You could use the pike handle to get 1 common branch.
What you can also do is substitute materials with gold for their listed cost. For example, 1 common branch, 1 metal scraps, 1 fletching, come to a total material cost of 2sp 5cp. 5 wood scraps, on the other hand, are only 1sp in total.
Jaya's not one for persuasion as much as intimidation.
"Listen, if we wanted to harm you we would have already" he growls, "calm down and you'll be ok."

INTIMIDATION 21 (nat 20)
Meanwhile Rico is happy as can be fixing things and making supplies. This is what she was made for after all :-)
She starts with fixing the sword that had been damaged by a corrosive monster.
Then while she has her smithing tools out, she makes a few arrowheads.
Next she spend a few hours making arrows from wood scraps (she has enough she doesn't need to use the pike handle).
Then she'll try making more torches (getting the burning part might be problem).
Finally she'll repair Steel (mechanically that's just a long rest for Steel).
The man is utterly terrified of Pisgah, his boots scraping on the ground as if trying to shove himself through the wall.

Jaya sends Pisgah a telekinetic message.
Clever, and impressive. I fear this mage is beyond our help right now. Perhaps you can convince him to stay here and rest? Maybe time will give him some clarity?

So how many wood scraps needed to make 10 arrows?
You have free reign to use the pike handle.
To be clear, this is a double-ruling, since arrows both show up in the tools section of XGtE and Kibbles Crafting doc. You can choose either.

Pisgah will go to the door and listen with the horn to check for sounds of activity in the kitchen or beyond.
