Pisgah runs to stand with one foot on the pallet and one foot on the stone at the south edge of the copper flooring. He hurls two javelins at the skull.
Jaya bats one arm of the golem aside and lands a solid strike. As the fire bolt from Nikkitch connects with the golem, it starts howling in pain and panic, flailing its arms around. This makes it easier for Rico to follow up with two accurrate shots that connect with the large mass of flesh, punturing it with loud thuds. The differently-colored eyes of the golem nearly pop out of their sockets as the monster starts roaring. Veins stand out starkly from the skin, the thing has gone berserk.
Steel punches the ghoul (G5), but the undead still advances.
A shield springs up around the skull, managing to block one of Pisgahs javelins, but the second one connects with a crunch. The skull teeters in the air, clearly heavily damaged. In order to avoid Pisgah, it moves to the east wall. On the way, it starts sparking with elecricity once more, energizing the copper floor instead of attacking. It shouts at the berserking golem: "STUPID THING, LISTEN TO ME!", to no avail.
Halleth continues hacking at the ghoul in front of him (G3), driving it back but not killing it. Attack: 17, damage: 8 bludgeoning Attack: 23, damage: 12 bludgeoning
[The floor is electrified for this round. Any creature that steps onto the copper tiles or starts its turn in contact with them takes (3d6) lightning damage.] Pisgah is standing in such a way that he avoids the floor at the start of his turn.
The golem aimlessly flaps his hand towards Jaya as the dragonborn moves away. Attack (with disadvantage): 10, damage: 16 bludgeoning (magical)
As Jaya throws himself at the skull, it has just enough time tho shriek in fear. The sword connects with a cracking sound, splintering the frontal bone. The thing drops to the floor, unmoving. Action surge isn't necessary, the critical hit was enough.
Canti sinks an arrow into the ghoul, making it hestitate just a moment before lurching on.
The electrified floor seems to rejuvenate the golem, reactivating dead muscles and making it move with a jerk towards where Jaya has killed the skull. It attacks with impunity: Attack (with disadvantage): 17, damage: 17 bludgeoning (magical) Attack (with disadvantage): 21, damage: 14 bludgeoning (magical)
Initiative: 1. Nikk and Rico + Steel, Jaya, Canti and Halleth 2. Flesh Golem (F), damaged 3. Pisgah < YOUR TURN 4. Barrel ghouls G1, G2, G3, G5 (wounded)
[The copper floor is still electrified until the end of this round.]
Perception check to determine if the floor is still electrified 7 ....assuming that is a big nope!
Seeing the skull fall to the floor Pisgah assumes the floor is now safe. With the golem closing on Jaya, Pisgah rushes into a flanking position with Jaya against the golem. As he steps onto the floor, he realizes that he made a poor assumption as the electrical charge rips up his leg and through his body. (10 points lightening damage taken) Moving into a flanking position, with smoke curling from his ears and his eyebrows smoldering, a very hurt Pisgah makes two longsword attacks on the golem.
[Love seeing roleplay like this Pisgah, Inspiration to you]
Pisgah lays into the golem, the great mass of flesh quivering at the impact, but absorbing some of the damage [resistance].
Back in the barrel room, the Ghouls have finished breaking out of their barrels and throw themselves at the party.
Ghoul G5 swipes at Steel in retaliation: Attack: 11, damage: 8 slashing
Ghoul G1 scatters the rest of the barrel as it lurches towards Canti: Attack: 16, damage: 7 slashing If it hits, make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. You can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of your turns, ending the effect on yourself on a success.
Ghoul G3 also claws at Halleth: Attack: 26, damage: 11 bludgeoning Whatever the ghouls claws seem to (potentially) do to Canti, it doesn't work on Halleth, but they do rip at his tabard and rend the flesh beneath.
The former cleric then focuses back G3 with two quick strikes, only connecting once, but solidly: Attack: 17, damage: 10 bludgeoning Attack: 11, damage: 16 bludgeoning G3 drops to the floor, dead once more.
Nikk turns, leaving the golem to the stronger two. They'd be fine. He looks first to the ghoul fighting Halleth and launches another Firebolt in its direction. If they can down that one, the undead bruiser can aid in pummeling the others.
Although her thinking may be different, Rico comes up with the same conclusion as Nikk, that Pisgah and Jaya were enough to deal with the flesh golem, but that the other undead were a priority to keep the beck ranks from being overwhelmed. The only difference being that Rico targets the undead attacking Canti (G1).
Attack 18 damage 9 piercing
Attack 20 damage 9 piercing
Without further instructions Steel continues to attack the same undead (G5)
OOC: I don't think this would change anything, but Canti's in the upper left corner of the room now.
Canti feels something icy spreading from the ghoul's attack. She instinctively holds her breath, despite the pain of the new wound adding to the pain she already feels from the lightning strike. Luckily, what she fears seems to dissipate (rolled a 13). Fighting to ignore the darkening of the corners of her vision, the gnome drops her bow, draws one of her two shortswords, and swings twice at the ghoul while yelling, "I could use a little help here!"
[Ah my bad Canti, but yeah the ghoul would have moved up there in either case]
The flesh golem refuses to go down, foam gurgling up from in between the crooked teeth. Jayas strikes are only half as effective as they should be. The monster has recovered from the temporary inaccurracy caused by the fire bolt and pummels the dragonborn with renewed vigor. Attack: 17, damage: 10 bludgeoning (magical), Jaya ripostes this and tears into the opponents flesh. Attack: 26, damage: 14 bludgeoning (magical)
Together, Canti and Rico bring down the ghoul (G1), sending it tumbling to the floor. Nikkitch burns part of G2s skin. Steel punches G5 one last time, laying the creature flat to the ground with force, leaving it for dead.
Initiative: 1. Nikk, Rico + Steel, Jaya, Canti and Halleth 2. Flesh Golem (F) (heavily damaged) 3. Pisgah < YOUR TURN 4. Barrel ghoul G2 (damaged), all others are dead
Currently unable to update the map, but the enemies have not moved.
If the golem is still up; Longsword attack 2: to hit 22 for 11 damage
(If the first attack kills the golem, then Pisgah will move to join the fight against the ghouls. 40ft of movement should allow Pisgah to reach the square just north of Nikk. He will hurl a javelin at G2. If the golem goes down after the second attack then Pisgah will use his movement to get just north of Nikk.)
Pisgah slices the golem open with two precise strikes. The seams holding the skin together separate, letting its complex internal machinery spill out, guts and hearts assembled in a wild and incoherent manner. It slumps on its knees, shudders, then collapses.
Pisgah is now in the room with the ghouls. Only one of them is still standing.
The ghoul continues swiping at Halleth, who blocks the claws with his mace Attack: 12, damage: 9 slashing
Initiative: 1. Nikk, Rico + Steel, Jaya, Canti and Pisgah < YOUR TURN 2. Barrel ghoul G2 (damaged), all others are dead
If the ghoul falls from Nikk's attack, Pisgah will limp over to the hammock, slightly dragging his singed boot, and crawl into the hammock. "It looks like there may be a tunnel leading out of the copper room that we should probably investigate, in a bit. You folks go ahead and search this place, I'm going to lay down for a minute or two....."
Pisgah runs to stand with one foot on the pallet and one foot on the stone at the south edge of the copper flooring. He hurls two javelins at the skull.
Attack 1: 24 damage 5
Attack 2: 17 damage 5
Changing targets, Nikk's next Firebolt flies at the golem. He does his best to aim, careful so as not to hit Jaya.
[To Hit: 23, Damage: 16]
Rico sends Steel to intercept G5 before it can reach anyone. Then she starts taking shots at the flesh golem with her magic infused pistol.
Shot 1: attack 19 damage 16 piercing
Shot 2: attack 24 damage 16 piercing
(wow! max damage on both attacks!)
Steel's Force-Empowered Rend: attack 21 damage 8 force
Jaya bats one arm of the golem aside and lands a solid strike. As the fire bolt from Nikkitch connects with the golem, it starts howling in pain and panic, flailing its arms around. Longsword attack 3: 24 dmg: 8
Longsword attack 4: 19 (added precision dice) dmg: 12
Canti continues moving northwest to stand in the corner. She fires two more arrows, this time aiming for G5.
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
Attack: 10 Damage: 6

The undead howls at the utterance of Nikkitch, twisting itself around in confusion and dropping to the floor with a thud.
We're out of initiative.
You all gain 920 XP for defeating the skull and its minions.
