This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If there are any interesting plants or herbs to be found here, Friedrych will collect some with Lulu helping him with her superior darkvision (120 feet to Friedrych's 60 feet)
Nature check: 20
EDIT: I'm liking this dice roller ^^ Way better than what I usually roll IR.
If there is not anything to be found or the roll was not good enough, they will walk back to the inn. Once they arrive there, Friedrych tells Lulu to go upstairs already and get to bed. 'Best be invisible 'til you get under the sheets: wouldn't want to scare any of the other patrons. And try to be as quiet as possible, okay? Don't want to wake our roommates.'
After seeing Lulu turn invisible and head upstairs, Friedrych addresses someone of the staff. 'Sorry to bother you with an unusual request but do you perhaps have a brass brazier I could borrow for the evening?'
EDIT: don't know where everyone is timewise so I'll leave that to the DM.
Crispy spent the late evening talking to Roselle. She hated to sleep and only did so if she had to. She talked to her about herself, about Borg, casual details about her cutrent job, her past, and learned lots of generalities about Roselle.
As dawn approached, Crispy could feel she was falling asleep, and the customers had thinned to a low level. Roselle wanted to go get some rest, and wether they hit it off or made plans for later was yet to be determined. Crispy took a small box out of her pack, opened it, and swallowed one of the small white pills within, within a few minutes she was wide awake and alert.
She decided to go upstairs and wake up Borg, they had a morning workout routine to do, and Crispy never missed a workout. As she past Fredrych’s room, she soured a tad, and prayed to Hell he would not betray them, but she could almost taste the satisfaction of making him suffer if he did. Snapping out of it, she entered Borg’s room and playfully jumped on the bed and squeezed her boob.
"Come on, wake up!" She shouted. "Time to exercise and keep that body in shape!" She started to undress and wear something more appropriate she could sweat in, and would plan on bathing afterwards, before everyone was ready to begin the mission.
Friedrych spends a bit of time rummaging around the area, and finds that there are some natural herbs cultivated here, alongside some wild garlic. He can collect some if he so wishes. When enquiring on his return, they unfortunately don't have a convenient brazier for him to use. They've turned to chandaliers to illuminate the larger rooms.
Crispy manages to have a quiet evening after everyone else has gone to bed, spending a bit of time with Roselle. The serving girl seems quite smitten with the stories she has. As someone who has lived in the family business she hasn't had a chance to travel or see the world, somewhat jealous of Crispy's current lifestyle. Crispy returns to the dorm a little before dawn, but feels the drain of not resting correctly. Crispy: you have one point of exhaustion.
The Following Morning, 4th Day of Summer
There is a cockerel call as the sun begins to rise, the warm rays of the summer sun begin to gleam through the large glass windows to the bedrooms. Headed downstairs, Mr. Migello has chosen a seat for the group to have a hearty breakfast at before leaving. He pays for the breakfast as well, quite content to eat and see the group enjoy the hot food before a journey south.
Everyone: their share of the bill for additional drinks and food comes to 1 gp. Feel free to try and get out of paying your share if you so wish.
OOC: taking the herbs and wild garlic. Because you never now when you'll run into a vampire. Shame about the brazier, had some interesting interactions in mind but c'est la vie. Fyi, braziers are used for heating up rooms, not illumination. Unless you've got a giant brazier with an equally giant fire but there are other problems with that ^^
Friedrych is a bit disappointed in this establishmentms lack of brass braziers but nothing can be done if they do not have any so he thanks the staff regardless and bids them goodnight. He heads off to bed and sees Crispy lounging around with their waitress but decides against messing with her as it is not worth the hassle. He quietly slips into the room Mr. Migello arranged for the male members of the team, gets ready for bed and slides into bed next to Luthollal without a sound.
After the morning hustle and bustle of waking up and getting ready for travel, Friedrych and Luthollal, who is currently invisible, take a seat at the breakfast table. Once more he pulls out the red and green bendy straws to put in his drink but this time, he just cuts or breaks his food into tiny pieces allowing Luthollal to eat off of his plate. After breakfast is over, Friedrych pulls out a golden coin and places it on the table as his share of the payment. He then turns towards Mr. Migello. 'Another peaceful day on the road then, sir?' He asks before following up on it. 'You wouldn't perchance have a brass brazier stowed in your wagon that I could borrow later this day, would you?'
Crispy, early in the morning, began to start to feel the fatigue from another sleepless night despite taking her pill. Odd. They usually worked. She had spent most of the midnight hours talking to Roselle, and was now paying the price. But, like most flirtatious adventures, they were always worth it. She told her good and bad stories of her past, and much to her delight, Roselle enjoyed them and Crispy was able to hold her attention through the night. As Fredrych walked by from doing Hells knows what, she leaned into Roselle's ear and whispered something. Roselle looked at Fredrych with mild disgust, and both of them giggled like little schoolgirls at what Crispy had said.
As dawn approached, Crispy took advantage of the quiet and went upstairs to wake Borg, but she was fast asleep despite her attempts to wake her. She then went back downstairs wearing something more comfortable, and proceeded to run and get in her daily morning exercises.
She came back into the inn, quietly washed up in Borg's room, and walked downstairs to eat breakfast with Mr. Migello, nodding to him and thanking him for the food. She was sleepy, and yawned a big yawn as she finished eating.
The group manages to get ready by about an hour after dawn. Crispy seems a little more droopy than the prior days in comparison, but still able to function and be her perky usual self. Roselle isn't around during the morning, probably resting off the late night herself. As the group gets ready and Mr. Migello gets the cart brought around to the front, Friedrych asks his question.
(OOC: To answer the missing bit of lore. As mentioned they have these wonderful chandaliers which seem to function as the illumination, heating, and such for the rooms. It means that large braziers aren't required to keep such places warm and opens up a lot of floor space.)
"Brazier? Not really." He shakes his head. "If the material doesn't matter, I have an iron incense burner that could be used."
Akaas also finds a nook in the back of the wagon to cram into. He pulls out a piece of the old tree and inspects its shape for a few moments before beginning to run a sharp blade along some of its edges in careful strokes.
Akaas smiles up at Crispy. "I'm not sure," he says. "I haven't yet found the shape within the wood." He turns the mostly unaltered piece of slightly charred and broken tree limb before his eyes. "As I work, the form will reveal itself to me, and I will help it along like a mother bird helping its chick escape the confines of its egg." He gives Crispy another pleasant grin and then puts the knife to the wood again, not at all giving her the impression that he wishes to be left him alone if she has more questions.
Akaas appears to think for a bit and then smiles. "Back in Adonaselune, I used to carve small figures quite often as a way to keep my hands busy while my mind worked. Many creatures — birds, cats. Sometimes people, but not very often." He smiles a little self-consciously. "I have trouble with hands." To emphasize what he is saying, he holds out one of his own small, bony and spotted hands and flexes the fingers. "Hands are very intricate. All those joints." He takes another swipe at the wood with his knife. "I also did a lot of carving in our buildings to add beauty to the structures. Those were usually images dedicated to Selune: her history, her service, our devotion. And, of course, I also fixed things when they wore out or broke," he chuckles. "Chairs, tables, benches, and the like."
Crispy listened to Akaas as he spoke, and it filled her with a sense of growing wonder. She looked at her own hands, feminine, but bruised and rough, like a brawler, especially the knuckles. “I find that fascinating. I dont really have any hobbies..well, I guess, exercising. But I dont know how to craft anything. I once tried to build a crossbow, and it broke and I swore a lot. Now that I think about it...i don’t create. I just..destroy.” She continued to watch him work, enjoying the conversation and the subtle wisdom it provided, even if the last thing she said lowered her smile.
Mr. Migello gets the horses to move along the path, heading further south. He happily hums to himself this fine morning as the group is enjoying an easy morning. Once it starts getting to midday, Mr. Migello seems to slow the pace of the cart. Up ahead, the ground seems to become more marshy and large tufts of grassland sticking out between the willow trees.
"Got a lot of unstable terrain coming up." Mr. Migello tells the others. "I've been through a fair few times, so know the base path. Keep an eye out for any critters who might want to come for the cargo."
Akaas chuckles at Crispy's tale. "Anything worth doing takes time," the old halfling says. "And it's vary rare that anyone is good at something the first time they try." He lowers the wood and knife into his lap. "I didn't have much need to craft weapons before, but I did carve several quarterstaffs like my own. And a blowgun. I think I might have carved a blowgun once. I don't see how, if we were able to procure some plans and the right materials, that you and I couldn't build a crossbow together." Mr. Migello pipes in at that point about the road and Akaas stands to be able to help keep an eye on their surroundings. Finishing up with Crispy, he smiles at her. "How does that sound? Shall we build something together?"
Like the day before, Friedrych takes point next to Mr. Migello and Luthollal will fly along 30 feet above the cart for a bird-eye's view of the surroundings.
It was worth it lol

Akaas wakes and prepares for the day, then waits to follow one of his roommates to their next destination.
I’ll wait for Borg then post.

"Brazier? Not really." He shakes his head. "If the material doesn't matter, I have an iron incense burner that could be used."
Crispy yawns and loads up in the cart, taking one of the seats in the back next to Borg, like before.
Akaas also finds a nook in the back of the wagon to cram into. He pulls out a piece of the old tree and inspects its shape for a few moments before beginning to run a sharp blade along some of its edges in careful strokes.
Crispy, after leaning her head against the wagon, notices Akaas doing something. “Hey. What are you making?” she asks curiously.
Akaas smiles up at Crispy. "I'm not sure," he says. "I haven't yet found the shape within the wood." He turns the mostly unaltered piece of slightly charred and broken tree limb before his eyes.
