"It seems you might have bested one of their rivals. I suggest that we go with them for now. They might just need the sword you have taken from that bullywog they speak of. Mr.Migello perhaps you should come with us. It might be safer to travel with these people and might also provide a new clientale for you as well." Chetin says as he dismounts from the cart and gives a bow to the lizardfolk.
'Ha!' Friedrych smirks. 'What did I tell you: king and queen of the swamplands.' He turns towards Mr. Migello. 'As our employer, it's your call: can we effort the detour and oblige these lizardfolk?'
He mentally reaches out to Luthollal. 'Best to be invisible for now, Lulu. We don't know what we're getting ourself into.' She shimmers out of sight as Friedrych turns his gaze back at the lizardfolk, his hand loosely placed on the hilt of the sword they are interested in.
I would like to make an Insight check to ascertain whether the lizardfolk come across as hostile or more surprised at someone having bested Ribberach: 15
The lizardfolk seem hard to read; they appear to be less emotionally open as other races. However, the spokesman of these lizardfolk seems to be perhaps thankful and gratuitous to him. Perhaps they are seeing him as some sort of champion since they obviously do not show any friendliness to the bullywugs.
"Come meet elder." The lizardfolk says again. "Elder speak more. Can reward with treasure. Flesh men work for treasure, yes?"
"Well this is most unorthodox." Mr. Migello says. "We already have a job to get through here..." He looks to the others. "But, I suppose we have about three days of leeway in case of such things. I'm not adventurer, so won't be that helpful in this sort of thing."
One of the lizardfolk seems to be sniffing the air, then grumbles something under their breath to the spokesman lizardfolk.
'Well, if worst comes to shove, we could always politely decline their offer.' With that said, Friedrych heaves his backpack off the cart and walks up to the lizardfolk. 'We will meet with your elder.'
OOC: do all Lizardfolk speak common or is this spokesperson the only one able to communicate with us?
You are unsure if all lizardfolk are speakers of the common tongue, or just the one that has spoken out. The spokesman lizardfolk nods to Friedrych. "Yes, you come. Bring others, elder down trail, this way..." The lizardfolk begins to skulk forward, leading the group further into the swamp.
"Is it safe for the carriage?" Mr. Migello asks. "I dare not risk leaving my wares for one minute."
"Path wide, you bring wood box on wheels." The lizardfolk confirms.
Borg spanks Crispy on the ass as she passes by. "It's a good chance to get some other stuff Chick and if not we fight our way out like the best team in the guild would."

"Learned it chick, gotta roll with the punches or sword blows, you have a bad attitude it can mess you up during a fight. So best to keep a good outlook rather than a bleak one. Nice pose by the way, brings out your curves." Borg says as she walks along.

The group follows the lizardfolk escort through the swamp for about an hour off of track, seeing glowing flames hovering within the swamp at various points. The lizardfolk keep quiet as they guide the group through, until they see that they are approaching what appears to be a small camp. Several basic tents and some wooden barricades are setup as some of the lizardfolk head closer to the village, some others popping their heads out of the tents.
"This our home." The lizardfolk tells the group. "Elder will speak with you. Draw no weapons, and we not kill you."
Akaas, riding on the wagon with Mr. Migello, beams around at the camp. "This is wonderful," the old halfling comments to their patron. He bows his bald head to any lizardfolk who make eye contact with him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Friedrych follows along with the rest as they follow the lizardfolk, though he walks a little bit towards the front as the lizardfolk initially approached them due to him. Luthollal is sitting invisibly on his right shoulder, keeping an eye out for anything unusual. Well, more unusual than being lead into a lizardfolk village. He lets his left wrist rest loosely on the hilt of the flame tongue shortsword as a way of subtly drawing attention to it as well as giving the impression of a being relaxed and not wanting to start a fight. He otherwise quietly follows their lizardfolk guide, curious to see what this elder has to say.
OOC: I'd like to make an History check to see if Friedrych knows anything regarding Lizardfolk: 4
The group is led into the encampment, the lizardfolk keeping wary eyes on the group. Mr. Migello seems quite uneased bringing his cart into this tribal village of lizardfolk.
Ahead of the group, another lizardfolk, this one slightly taller than the others with several silver scales in their green hide and carrying a long staff with bone adornments. When this lizardfolk speaks, their common is much better than the spokesperson before them, their tone stern. "So, you are ones we hear defeated Ribbarch's crew." The elder says, looking to Friedrych's blade. As this lizardfolk speaks, a small cloud of cold breath seems to flow out. "Take a seat, there are things to discuss." The elder gestures to some reed mats that are placed out so the group doesn't have to sit on the swampy ground.
Friedrych's History Check:
The lizardfolk are known to be a very structured tribal folk who have their own method of social structure and hierarchy. By the looks of things, the elder is most likely one who has been selected by the tribe to lead them, most likely through deeds or by their religious might.
Normally lizardfolk are very territorial, usually killing trespassers on sight. If they have invited basically strangers into their camp, there must be something amiss. They are also highly xenophobic normally, so are usually quite reluctant to barter or trade with other races.
Crispy sits, clearly uncomfortable and slowly moving her eyes to and from all the lizard people. She didn't trust anyone, and it showed, but she said nothing.

Borg hops out and looks to the lizard folk. "Yeah we fight for treasure, so lead the way Lizard guys."

"Oh, you." Crispy says back, with a look of hunger, and not for food.

Akaas hops down from the wagon to join the others on the mats. He approaches and wordlessly gives the elder a deep bow before sitting.

Friedrych sits down as well, taking off his backpack and placing it against his back. He politely waits for the elder to take the word.
