Chetin brow furrows a bit as Akaas goes off to their room, "I...I don't believe the fault lies with you sir Friedych. I shall see to our good teammate. It is a pleasure to meet you sir Freidych, I'm sure you'll be a wonderful comrade." He goes off and follows Akaas.
Akaas decides to head to the dining hall to get a bite to eat before retiring to his dorm room. He finds the correct floor and walks in, takes a tray of food, and sits at one of the red tables in solitude.
Seeing all the others making their way over to the dining hall, Friedrych gives a quick glance aside before shrugging his shoulders and following suit. 'Great first impression so far, don't you think?' 'Eh, as far as first impressions go, you could do a lot worse. Remember that time they punched you on the nose?' 'Still hurts everytime I scratch.'
In the dining hall, Friedrych quietly takes a tray and loads it up with some hot grub and a goblet of... what he thinks is wine? He looks around for a bit for an empty seat before spotting the halfling that sulked off during his introduction. He walks over to him, drops his tray onto the table, takes a seat and does something he thought would be unthinkable: be direct.
"I'm sorry if I offended you."Friedrych says in a level voice as he looks across the table to meet the halfling's eyes.
Akaas looks up in polite confusion as Friedrych sits, then frowns as the half-elf speaks. The old halfling carefully places his utensil on the table, his gaze directed at his tray for a second or two. Finally, Akaas entwines his fingers on the table before him and looks up. "You did not offend me," he says plainly. Continuing to look Friedrych in the eye, Akaas pauses for another couple seconds before continuing. "Today has been ... trying. I have a few things weighing on my heart, and your ... introduction took me by surprise. Because I have spent most of my life in seclusion ..." He trails off and then tries out a warm smile. "You did not offend me," he repeats.
'Great.' Friedrych says with a heartfelt smile. 'We wouldn't want us to start off on the wrong foot if we are to worktogether.'He gets a pensive look for a moment, or at least as pensive as he can be with a mouth full of grub washed down with not-wine. 'Want to talk about it? I mean,' he gives a casual wave with his fork, 'I'm a stranger so my judgment wouldn't be as harsh to you as coming from someone you care about.' He swallows a particular tough morsel of meat. 'Of course we could just enjoy the rest of our dinner in comfortable silence. Whatever you prefer.'
Akaas's eyes twinkle at Friedrych's offer. "I appreciate your concern, but I think I'd rather speak with my lady about it before I burden anyone else." He takes a few bites. "Have you been in Greenholden long?"
Chetin peers over at the two converse, giving a small smile, "I suppose I shouldn't impose them. They both seem to be trying to get to know one another." He hangs back a bit and decides to head to their room. Prepping his small shrine once more for his prayers.
The bottom red table slowly starts filling up with Crimson Fang team members. The pair at the other end of the table seem to say something to one another, the goliath letting out a hearty laugh before going back to finishing off their platters.
Common Room
Borg & Crispy open the scroll and take a look. Inside is the following message.
Dear Team Crimson Fang,
Congratulations on completing your first mission successfully. By collecting this scroll you have located the locker where your rewards are placed. Please note that The Seven Saints Adventurer's Guild takes a commission prior to the posting of rewards, so you should always receive the reward as stated upon the initial noticeboard bill. Should you have any queries about further quest completion or potential group bills, then please speak to your team colour's representative.
As Bronze-tier members of The Seven Saints, you have certain perks and discounts at Seven Saints affiliated franchises, such as the mess hall and several taverns within Greenholden. Should you wish to apply for Silver-tier membership, you may enter your request once you have completed five missions, one of which must be a conjoined mission with another team. Upon evaluation of your team's efforts and accolades, you will receive a response once the board has come to a decision.
For now, please enjoy the fact of a job well done, and the thanks of The Seven Saints for completing a mission while upholding the standard of the guild.
Birg looks to Chetin as they pass by, she smiles. "Hey Chetin, Here I got the team reward for the mission. So here's your potion." She gets a potion out of the sack and hands it over to him.

Akaas's eyes twinkle at Friedrych's offer. "I appreciate your concern, but I think I'd rather speak with my lady about it before I burden anyone else." He takes a few bites. "Have you been in Greenholden long?"
'You're married?'Friedrych asks as he grabs a pitcher and fills up his cup. 'Must be nice having someone to come home to.' A moment after he says it, his hand goes up to his neck to scratch at a spot. 'Did you just sting me?' 'You have me, don't you? And it wasn't that hard!' 'That's different.' 'No reason it couldn't be.' 'I'm going to ignore you now.' 'Whatever, I'm going to see what's for dessert.'
'As for your question,' Friedrych continues after he stops scratching, 'It's actually my first time in Greenholden. I'm more of a country lad, you see?' He takes a swig. 'Thought I might as well try to sign up for this here "Seven Saints Adventuring Company" because the only thing better than doing what you love is getting paid for doing it.' He takes another swig. 'Though I must have been late to the party because I was put on the reserves' list.' He finishes his drink, puts down his cup and stretches his arms. 'But one man's loss is another man's gain as they say. I heard that someone dropped out and my name was at the top of the list and here we are.' Friedrych stands up and takes his tray off the table. 'But we'll see how that fares in the morning. Think I'll retire for the night. See you tomorrow...' He glances down at the sitting Halfling. 'I don't think I ever caught your name, good sir.'
'We're leaving now. Where are you?' 'Keep your shoes on: I'm coming.' 'You know how hard it is to take... oh. You made a funny.' 'Despite what people think, we do have a sense of humour, you know.' 'And a sweet tooth I see. You know sugar's bad for your fangs, right?' 'Don't care, eating now.'
After returning his empty tray, Friedrych wipes little crumbs of candy off of his shoulder as he leaves the dining hall, intent on getting a good night's sleep. After all, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of his life and he wants to be well rested in order to see what this "Crimson Fang" is all about.
Two hot chicks walk into a bar. One’s green and one looks mean. Letting off steam, don’t wanna scream but they’re on a team. Dream Team Crimson on the scene. The big one holds open the door, the mean one strinkin’ a pose. That one’s got the arms, the other’s got those legs. Both have a thirst, but first, lets show em some ass. One spins around, showin what Hells gave her, the other gal’s got the strength, don’t the crowd know it.
”Hey boys, who’s gonna buy us some drinks..?” says the human, all confident with style.
The half-orc strides ahead, eyes catchin’ the crowd. “Don’t let us wait. Table for two!”
Akaas watches Friedrych leave the mess hall, feeling a bit like the half-elf didn't hear much of what he had to say. The ancient halfling shrugs, grins, cleans off the table, and heads toward the dormitory.
Entering their room, Akaas is pleased to see Chetin. The halfling quietly sits on his own bed, crossing his legs and resting his hands on his knees in a comfortable form for meditation. After some time, he hears Chetin stirring. Opening an eye, Akaas sees the cleric putting away his shrine. The monk unfolds and sits with his calves below him, facing the aasimar. "I'm afraid I may have behaved poorly this afternoon," he says quietly, looking and then looking away. "When the two were so open with their affections on the cart today, I was caught off guard. At first, I was angry, but then I was ashamed. Then, I was confused. After pondering my feelings and discussing them with Selune, I believe my emotions stem from ... selfishness." He pauses and is very thankful for Chetin's patience. "My life has been a good one. Selune has been all the companion I have needed. While there were many others in Adonaselune, relations between monks was forbidden ... for a number of reasons. One being to keep the mind clear. Another being to smooth cooperation between individuals. No hurt feelings between jilted lovers. But I think the main one was we were always so busy studying and serving. We didn't have the time to get to know anyone else intimately. Aside from Our Lady. Now, here in this city, I'm being exposed to all sorts of new experiences. My eyes are opening to life outside the monastery. It's both frightening and ... exhilarating. I am devoted to peace, yet was part of the murder of a life today and the attempted harm of others." Akaas removes the symbol of Selune medallion on his chest and looks at it as he holds it in his lap. "What kind of disciple am I turning out to be now that I am being tested by the fire?" He looks up at Chetin, sadness in his eyes.
"It is by fire our resolve is tested. We are men of faith, we will always be tempted to give in to these desires and forsake our piety. When you felt all those feeling upon seeing our comrades express their affection for each other, did you not feel other feelings? Like those of wanting or a desire to be with someone? It is quite common for those who have taken a path of such celibacy to feel jealous of another's joy. But that is what we have chosen, we chose a path that holds no one special person. We cherish the lives off all the people, whether they by good or bad. While some say that it is a fulfilling thing to have a loved one, it can also cloud your judgement. If I were put in a position to save the one I love but forsake the lives of others. I could never make that decision, I'd choose to sacrifice myself instead. I'd value the lives of all the others more than my own." He pauses a moment for a breath, "Emotions can be trying, but that is also a part of life. To be open with them is to reveal much about yourself. To be closed with them is to hide pain and joy for yourself. It is one's decision to be open or closed, afraid or bold, but all of it is a part of living." He sets the candle on the bedside, "And I am not one to judge what kind of disciple you are. I respect all kinds of faith. That just means they believe in something as strong as I do and I should respect that. But I find that you are an excellent follower of Selune, you did not start the conflict, you choose to end it with nary bloodshed. We both restrained ourselves to not murder them but to incapacitate them. Find strength in your actions, and see that you are still a disciple of Selune."
Akaas and Chetin are discussing their deities' dogmas and own codes when they hear a roar of noise coming from the main room. Friedrych is woken by the noise as well, as it is just down the hall from his lodgings.
Tavern
Borg and Crispy have decided to head onto a night out. They enter a tavern named The Thirsty Tanner to find that the tavern is filled with surly looking gents. Most of them have open leathers jackets showing hairy chests and are sitting in small groups of 2-4. They look up at Crispy's announcement, then immediately disregard the pair and go back to their conversations.
