Jakton takes once last glance at the weeping Kobold before following the trail left by the fleeing fiend, “Aye. I’m not sure where this fiend went or if it has more friends and I’d rather not give it the chance to show us.”

You all leave the room with the massacre inside, the kobold still weeping. The blood trail leads you deeper into the sewers, a twisting set of turns down corridors. The blood trail lightens as you all approach a large clearing in the sewer, the mass of the space taken by a massive water well. Above is a large dome ceiling with water sprouts coming out of, pouring dirty or fresh water into the center of the well. Around you see different passages to other parts of the sewers. The blood trail stops as it seems to lead to the well. It seems you have lost the trail of the escaped fiend.

Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
Before the group checks for anything more, Lamb tries to take the information thus far. Now that she’s seen what kind of Fiend they were dealing with, she attempts to delve into her memories of magical lore and identify whatever information she can about the fiends.

The fiends are called imps. Small fiends that are happy to help any evil being they are summoned by. And have the power to turn invisible and turn into small animals.
"Go in the water, no more trails," sing-songs Xanni. "We used to play this at home."
She tries to see if there are any wet trails on the other passages coming from the wheel's direction.
Perception:22
You search for a trail of water but cannot find any leading through the other tunnels. But this clearing does seem a bit darker than the usual torch lit corridors.
Lamb's realization of the Imp's abilities was helpful. It could change form and hide..But which did it use to escape? Regardless, the others will need such information.
"From what I can recall about Imps...It seems that the likely choices of its method of escape are to either turn hide by turning invisible or transforming into a small animal. For the latter, they could have either scurried away through one of these tunnels, or perhaps they've turned into a sort of fish...?"

Alfred huffs in frustration."Well, it seems the little buggers outsmarted us, at least for now, unless we have some other of tracking the little cretins. Maybe the kobolds know something of value? Though I doubt it.."
"Maybe we scared it away," says Xanni, hopefully. "Maybe the last one won't come back now that we killed the others. It was the aim, right? That they stop hurting poor kobolds."

When lamb says yes he merely points at the water with his axe, before turning to the rest of the party."Be ready". He turns back to the well, hefting his shield up into place.

She prepared to plunge her arms into the water...

The whole room lights up as Lamb electrifies the well. You see something in the water shake wildly. It seems like a fish at first but violently shift into that of the imp before. It rises up as the flashing dies down, now limp in the pool. It floats about in the well, you can smell the singed flesh of it from here.
Lamb had hoped...She hoped...It felt like it was going to work. Her own magic coursed through her after she plunged her arms into the well, but she survived. She was alive, and the Imp was dead...and now, the opportunity passed. The mission was accomplished. The only task for her left, before returning was to locate, retrieve, and clean the silver bolts that was lent to her.
She turns to the others and says,
"The fiend is dead. If that is the last one down here, then you have achieved victory in this mission."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gylbard threads his axe back into its ring, the imminent threat now gone. "Well done", he puts a reassuring hand on Lambs shoulder (Lay on Hands 4HP). Careful not to lean too far out, Gylbard stretches across the water and grabs the imp. Holding it out in front of him by its sizzled leg, he looks it up and down. "Anyone know anything about these things?"
(Thanks i'll return 2 points to his sheet. the investigation was more for marks to see if it was indeed the one they had fought in the previous room, sorry should have specified)
