The house stays quiet for a moment, then the side door to the farm house opens. A human woman in a nightgown, around thirty summers of age, pokes her head out of the doorway. "Quick! Inside!" She says in a hushed call to the group. She opens the door a little more "Quickly!"
"Hey! What about me?" Brom calls from the cart as Jaylin makes a hasty move to the entrance. (I'll assume someone goes to collect him)
Headed into the farmhouse, the lady closes the door behind her. She shows signs of working on a farm for many years. "So, you the ones Merrybelle sent out for?" She says, looking the adventurers up and down. "Guess we got a colourful lot then. And for reference, Merrbelle's my wife; she's keeping watch over the barn right now."
"All hells is happening, that's what." The lady says. Now you are inside, you can see there is a pitchfork readied by the door as a defensive mechanism, and she places a wooden bar at the back of the door. "Bleedin' wolves comin' in troves. Started off as howls in the distance. Lost a sheep after another night; the following night we lost six. Me an' Merrybelle are taking turns watchin' over them and keeping the barn locked up. Something's up with them, as we asked the folks in town for a hand. Then..." She seems to stop as she sees the tiny Brom on Dar'Quilyn's shoulder. "What in the nine hell's happened to him?"
"Hi, Jess." Brom waves from his seat. "Long story, magic happened I think." He looks to the others. "I said I've come through here a few times; you get to know the locals."
"Oh, right." Jess gets back to her story. "Yeah, so we asked the townsfolk for some help. Five came the following night, and they all got badly hurt. None of them died, fortunately, but they said that the wolfs were vicious, and there were dozens of them. They're still nursing those wounds now. Something is far too off, wolves wouldn't come out in packs like this..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Nature:9 or Arcana:15 (or just use the first roll and add 2 more points as it could be seen as rolling with “advantage” rolling twice... ) to theorize or remember this kind of behaviour like... “I’ve heard the history of something similar when the wolves were commanded by a warg....”
if applicable of course if not... just ignore this :) )
You know that wolves hunt in packs, but they usually only end up at a dozen at most. Based on what you have heard, there could be someone or something controlling the wolves. Perhaps it is a dark druid, abusing his control of nature. Another could be a fey creature, tormenting the beasts into having to attack the town. There are many possibilities as to why they are doing this, so further information would help narrow down these options.
"This is quite weird behaviour for a pack of wolves. My guess is that someone or something are controlling them to hurt the people of the hamlet. Tell me. Do you know if there have been any unusual activity of the townspeople in the forest lately? Maybe someone told a history of running accidentally into some old ruins? Weird lights or sounds in the forest? Do you know if someone has been lumbering wood in a new place of the forest?"
(Been 24 hours, I'll roll the saving throw)
Johann's Dexterity Saving Throw: 15
Johann manages to step out of the trap just in time as a rock catapults at the entrance, but ends up scattering past Johann.

Dar, making sure that Brom is secure on his shoulder is the last one entering the house.
”Here we are at last! Can you tell us what’s going on?”
