@_Miglasezis_ Do you think Toadstool likes Rinn well enough to offer him the 50 gp for the diamond? Rinn though is rather fond of him and is trying to help him barter, since he's much more accustomed to dealing with city folk.
Honestly, he did come in late to the party and they don't know each other well, so I would understand if he would decide to get more healing potions.
Also, @Players I think one of us are going to want to get a map or something of the area so that we can kind of IC have an idea of where we want to travel. We can maybe have a scene of discussing plans down in the tavern or something, even if Ichep is going to sleep elsewhere. Or, perhaps, Ichep is going to try to impress us with some fancier location lol.

Getting a map is a great idea. Meeting up in the tavern/inn sounds good to me. I think Ichep stays in the same location as you but has a private room. I doubt it's fancy enough to show off (especially after we were guests to the baron) but you guys could definitely use it to hang out/craft. Stay out of the bed though or Ichep will be >:(

met the sweetest 99 year old lady while doing deliveries today and someone turning 101! wow! anyways...
I can go get the map if y'all want. though Balen's been a mess these in game days so I'm worried^TM. I'm guessing it will be in Professor Archibald Fairweather - Scholar and Historian's place? unless it's in the market though that's unlikely? it's library time yay!
question: is the cat allowed on Ichep's bed though? :0
Balen also learned of some restlessness amongst the local goblin tribes. Usually quite unorganized, they have recently been called under the banner of a creature known as Grimgnaw, who has self styled themselves as the Goblin King. There have been some raids on nearby settlements and trade caravans that have been blamed on this new alliance. After these raids, Grimgnaw the Goblin King has amassed a horde of stolen riches and has been said to be marshaling his main forces in the vicinity of the Shadowfang Caverns.

I'll be gathering back with the party and determining our next steps. I don't have any new town activities I need to take care of, after buying my healing potion.
It seems like Rinn and Toads are likely to meet back up with Balen, since Rinn likely will be told to head to the library as well, so that brings the three back together (assuming they realize it's Balen lol).
I also think we need to at least mention that we have a funeral for Faen and for the party to get anything he may have left behind. I would imagine that he's probably been sent to some temple or something that handles the dead, now that the Baron threw the party out us. I know @Kisarali was hoping to get some good fluff on his backstory so that it could give some more weight when/if we encounter Fey.
I agree that we need to gather the party. From there, we can decide what we're going to be doing and funeral stuff.
Once the PCs figure out what we want to do next, they can come up with a plan pertaining to how we get there and if we can gather any more info on the location (e.g., dangers to look out for in particular, short cuts, etc). If we find it worthy enough to invest the time, that would be probably be at least part of the second day.
Other than that, Rinn would probably be probably getting to know his fellow adventurers and resting his sore feet after being on the road for months. Rinn generally thinks that it's important to know who you're traveling with, given that you have to rely on each other.
I would say that he could help Toadstool with the healing potion, but he only has +1 on medicine (+5 on arcana though).
Edit: Also, Rachael is likely doing cat stuff (likely sleeping in front of the fire). She does understand Common, so technically she could be a rumor gatherer, but I think that she's likely going to want to stay near Rinn given how skittish she is in new places.
Personally, while I think Rinn is likely going to want to go to the monastery (wizards to magic like moth to flame).
I think that either sounds relatively dangerous, though I think goblins might be the better option. Plus, you have the fact that they're actively attacking other settlements, which I think we can agree is not good (even if some of the people in said settlements are jerks, like the Baron).
Anyways, my responses will likely be a bit slowed during the next couple of days. Heading out in the morning for a work trip. Will have my personal computer, but I don't know how much time I'll have to respond. I hope to be able to keep up though.

I'm going to assume Rachael is going to be a traitor and Rinn will catch her sleeping in Ichep's more comfortable bed.
I'd say Toads doesn't have anything else he wants to do on the next day. He could try out wild shapes.
As he's a hermit, he'd excuse himself and go to a nearby forest and turn into a brown bear and climb some trees for honey. After that he'd turn into a dire wolf to hunt some wild boar.
After that he returns home to the party (whoever can be found) and ask them to join his campfire, where he is roasting honey glazed boar ribs.
Toads is up for anything. As I said - if nothing happens on the second day, he just gathers food in wildshapes. Maybe for the funeral meal hmmmmmm.
And I'm fine with going against Goblin king, because Toads speaks goblin. He has some connections to goblins in general, so he might have some advantage.

Toadstool's second day of downtime has already been declared. On the first day, he converted non-cash treasure to gp and acquired adventuring materials. Then on the next day, he will then need to dedicate a day to creating the potion he bought the ingredients for.
It might be helpful of downtime activities like actions that can be performed. Basically, after a downtime activity has been performed ... some real, quantifiable change occurs. Instead of tracking things round-by-round, however, we track things day-by-day. Not every downtime activity is created equal mind you, meaning that some downtime activities can take more than one day to complete and are accomplished over a series of days (e.g. build a ship or something).
Day 1 Balen — Gather rumors Ichep — Shop for supplies Rinn — Shop for supplies Toadstool — Exchange non-cash treasure & shop for supplies Yadudara — Exchange non-cash treasure & shop for supplies
Day 2 Balen — Shop for supplies Ichep — Shop for supplies Rinn — Shop for supplies [pardon the handwavium ... Rinn will be joining the others at the library] Toadstool — Create a Potion of Healing Yadudara — Gathering rumors
Did we decide to meet up somewhere?
You all share a common at the inn, except for Ichep, who has paid for their own.

Toadstool doesn't really care about money. He has never had a need for it apart from very rare ocasions when trading with goblins.
He's a good guy, he saw you came to help. I see no problem with him just giving up 50gp for a good cause.
And map would be cool. Wilderness areas probably will be fine, because of Toads natural knowledge, but still
Toads gets Rachael's approval. Expect her to sit on his lap and do other cat things lol

Please let me know what you guys would like to do with your second day of downtime.

I'll be back Wednesday night.

After that he returns home to the party (whoever can be found) and ask them to join his campfire, where he is roasting honey glazed boar ribs.
Summary I gather of our plan of action is:
Rachael is - of course - allowed on the bed by divine right. The more important question: Will she allow Ichep to sleep in his own bed?
Toads is up for anything. As I said - if nothing happens on the second day, he just gathers food in wildshapes. Maybe for the funeral meal hmmmmmm.
And I'm fine with going against Goblin king, because Toads speaks goblin. He has some connections to goblins in general, so he might have some advantage.
Thank you for the heads up. Travel safe.
