Dardek screams "Noooo, please help her! You want what I have!? This is it....I have nothing but a single silver and some food.....Look at me, I am just a poor destitute traveler and you've killed my friend....." Dardek starts to cry.
Talon looks aghast as Ashley gets speared by the flying projectile, and jerks, almost moving to help her. He stops, a look of recognition on his face.
He had been afraid once.
Not anymore.
"Talon will bite the hand that starves..."He whispers instead, remember what he told her before as his violet eyes lock with the Bugbear. Then he shouts to his friends. "Runsaway!"
He is angry at the Bugbear and his cohort for hurting his friend. He is frustrated that they have been hunted. He is tired of running. But he is not afraid. Death was so easy the first time. Why fear it again?
He ducks behind the nearest tree, leaning out far enough to commit to violence...
A tentacle, born of dust and dew and leaf litter, spectral in nature but somehow a product of Talon's mind and the forest around them, reaches up from the ground next to the Bugbear suddenly. As it does so, the little Kobold's mouth opens, and a blast of violet energy screams across the clearing...
Turn Summary
Talon Movement: Behind the nearest tree (on the right?), taking as much cover as possible Action- Eldritch Blast: Targeting Bugbear. 14 to hit, 5 damage Bonus Action- Summon Tentacle of the Deep: Next to Bugbear
Nib is tired of seeing his friends killed. He’s tired of the senseless violence, but it seems to be the coin of the realm in this world. He pulls out his shortbow, backing up as he does so, taking aim at the Bugbear, and then releasing, hoping his arrow strikes true. After he does this, he dives into the bushes, hopefully hiding himself.
Action : Shortbow attack on Bugbear : 17 to hit, for 8 points of piercing damage. And an additional 6 points of sneak attack damage.
Movement : 20 feet to the northwest, then 5 feet into the bushes to the west, gaining cover and hoping to hide.
The bugbear, bleeding profusely from the arrow wound to the neck, stares up in horror at the spectral tentacle that just struck him... Shielding himself uselessly with his forearm, he braces for the unstoppable and terrifying end to his short, cruel life... In an act of sheer desperation, he swipes at the tentacle with his morning star, barely even looking to see the weapon pass harmlessly through the spectral figure... He then turns tail, shouting to his compatriots, "Fuuucking devils from the nine hells! Run! Run for your lives! as he runs for his life in the opposite direction of the tentacle.
The goblin, hearing his boss's cry, disengages, drops his shortbow and bolts, heading west. Talon sees another goblin emerge from the brush nearby, also in a full sprint.
COMBAT HAS ENDED
Dardek makes a few attempts at staunchingAshley'swound and resuscitating her. As he attends to her wounds, he hears a desperate pawing coming and desperate meowing sound coming from Ashely's belongings. He finally gets her breathing again and feels a steady heartbeat, but she's still badly injured. Without magical healing, she'll need ample time to rest.
It's currently late morning. After the adrenaline rush of the bandit fight and the desperate attempt to stabilize Ashley, a relative silence falls over the area and you return to the dilemma you faced before the bandits made their attack... you have no idea where you are.

Dardek wipes his brow like an surgeon that expertly saved his patient, and then in his most confident voice his says "Well boys, Ashley is stable and breathing but without some sort of heal.....oh wait...I uh could do that for her but I don't want anyone to see....I mean you guys can watch but I don't want anyone to know I have this ability. Could you do a sweep of the area make sure no one is around lurking....oh and she has a cat or something in the bag....not to let it out."
After the others look around and tell him the coast is clear, Dardek lays his hands over the wound. His cheeks begin to shimmer and Ashley's wound closes. Dardek's cheeks stop shimmering and now look like acne scars rather than shiny skin. "Wake up Ashley! Stop laying about" He says to her with a laugh. "I'm kidding, I uhh am sorry I didn't see the arrow coming but I did drag you away and heal you. I hope that you are ok."
Ashley's eyes pop open and she takes in her surroundings. She looks around nervously and looks worried and afraid. She finally focuses on Dardek and after a few moments, Nib and Talon. This calms her down a bit and she sits up. "What happened? You drug me away and healed me? Really? All on your own?" she smiles at the man, teasing but relieved.
She hears the meowing box and pulls it out, turning it around in her hands as she sits there, trying to understand what happened.
Talon worries over this whole medical drama while pacing around the clearing and watching Dardek work. He's not exactly sure what to think about this situation, but who is he to judge others with abilities? Especially now that he has begun to turn into something he wasn't before?
When Ashley begins to stir, he rushes to her side and kneels, pushing his head against the side of her face and looking about as solemn as he has since he died.
"TalondidnotwantstoseeyousufferslikeSeig." He says, apparently referring to the injury that kept Seig out of action for so long. "We are glads you did not has to crossover into the indifferent void."
Nib stretches and cranes his neck, but cannot see any sign of the bugbear and goblin that ran away. “Hey, Ashley, are you okay? Can you walk? That hairy beast must’ve speared you, I thought you were a goner! I don’t mean to ah break up this tender moment guys, but I think that we oughta clear outta here. I have no idea where we are, but I think we should be anywhere but here. That beast might heal up from the arrow I put in his neck, come back here for some revenge. Can you walk if we help you?” Nb keeps looking around and listening, expecting trouble at every turn.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As the kobold pushes his head against the side of her face, Ashley remains motionless, unsure of what to do. When he speaks, she understands but is still a bit unsure. As Talon pulls away, she puts a hand on his shoulder, "I am glad too. And glad you're still with us."
Turning to Nib and hearing the urgency in his voice, she puts the box away with frustration clear on her face. "Yes, I can walk. Any idea on which way to go?"
Talon takes a moment to search the clearing and finally picks up on the proper trail.
"Ah yes I seeeees." He says, rubbing his hands and then tilting his head to the side to check the sun for a baring on what time it is. "Founds the way! Though Talons did bad last time. Should we all tries this time, or I tries alone?"
It takes a couple hours of walking to figure out how far off-course Talon's unintentional detour took you. Yet, the little once-kobold seems completely unfazed, confident in his path forward.
And for good reason. By the time night falls you feel you've made good progress heading west in the direction of the half-elf town of Caeili.
You find a quiet grove that seems safe for camping. As you begin to set up, Dardek stumbles on a pair of skeletons, one large, one half its size. Both have been stripped of all worldly belongings. Wether or not that was before or after their death is harder to determine. What you can be sure of is that the bodies are old. Years old, judging by the state of decomposition and desiccation.
Still, they present no obvious threat. So, if you wanted to toss the bones aside and finish setting camp, you can. Or you can push onward in the dark to find another camping location. Up to you.
Ashley stares at the bones. They don't bother her perse, but she doesn't want to disturb them. Turning back to the others, "What do you guys think? Is there room here to camp without disturbing the bones, or should we continue on? I just don't want to disrupt these people's last resting place."
Nib strokes his chin and says “Idnt right. I think we oughta bury ‘em. Its the decent thing to do. This seems like a good spot otherwise. Any of you know how ta… say a few words?”

Talon kneels down and starts to examine the skeletons while the others debate what to do with them. He squints, delicate fingers reaching out to stroke the exposed bones.
