The situations quickly begin to develop as the adventurers see a massive beast rise from the waterhole below a waterfall. A trap set by a 5 headed Hydra looms as each head rises out of the water then the massive body follows as he makes its way onto the dry land.

Ral starts his rage and tosses his javelin's of lightning using only one lighting of the two.A poor throw for the first one while only doing lighting damage the Hydra saves with a roll of 19 for 1/2 dmg = 4 the second javelin hits for 11 dmg for a total of 15 dmg to they hydra.
Darbakh has init
Then smudge:
Everyone can roll a history check dc 15 no guidance in the heat of battle. Success and you have knowledge about Hydra's.
Ral says, “A hydra and something else is out here. I’m glad Smudge is up on Hydras. We need flame on the hydra each round my friends. Darbakh and I team up on the hydra. Petnan and Smudge assist us until whatever else jumps in.” Thoughts?
“Hydras are tough business. They are definitely not friendly. The scrolls tell of heroes fighting them and having some difficulty. They have five heads and strong armor with plenty of resistance to damage. You can chop off a head but two will grow in its place, so slicing is bad. Bludgeoning might be fine but fire is the preferred or recommended weapon against these beasts. I read of one hero burying the hydra under a pile of rocks, in case we think that could be an option.”
The Hydra is 50ft from Smudge to the West and 60 ft from Darbakh to the West.
I placed a fog of war on the map in the East Northeast of Darbakh's location for reference on the suspected location of a second possible hostile creature.

Ic. Likely additional monsters to north. Don’t be surprised. How are we on AOE spells.
"I can burn single targets, but I can't burn a whole area at once," Darbakh says. "Most of my magic is defensive."

Well guess we will see what’s coming out of the north east.

We’re 10’ apart using ruler. Which puts each cell at 5’ if scale is correct
