Smudge looks in astonishment at the beast. Five snarling heads were whipping around, looking for something or someone to tear apart. Smudge hoped that none of his companions would be seriously harmed by this threat. He gives a quick prayer and sends a streak of light rushing towards the hydra. Guiding Bolt, lv 1, 6+9=15, 14 damage.
(OOC: I actually would like to use inspiration because Ral causes damage, and the fire bolt might stop the hydra from growing another head. Should I roll again with advantage, or just roll again normally and count it as the second roll?)

Just roll again once as it would be the second roll.

I don't use the ruler...Each square is 10ft so just count the squares to the target. Movement is still based on diagonal costing more though. Line of sight is just number of squares with no extra cost.

Also since smudge used guiding bolt next attack against hydra has advantage.
Darbakh’s second (regular) spell attack roll: 15 + 2 Damage if it hits: 8
At least it’s fire damage. Winning….
A streak of fire advances from Darbakh in the form of two bolts. The hit the hydra scorching it. One of the heads severed by the blast. The Hydra roars with one of its heads as the others start looking for food.
Adv for next attack still in play.

petnan moves twds the trees behind/ to the south east so he can see the hydra as well as the fog of war area and starts looking through petnan’s eyes. So I think that’s my turn
(Ooc correct from my understanding the flyby that does not trigger reactions/opportunity attacks is only the owl).

(OOC: The map is up! Based n that, I’d like to move Runok 5 squares west and 1 square north. I don’t think he’s close enough to help with a flyby this turn, but maybe next turn?)

I think Lars is next so I’ll post for him then petnan
lars flys over to petnan and casts darkness
petan moves closer to trees and away from two friends so the darkness does not bother them. And then looks through Lars eyes
And we keep eye on the fog of war area
It just barely misses the hydra unless you want to use inspiration which everyone has again.

Ooc: smudge. Fairy fire would also give all our attacks against it advantage. My attempt failed.

It doesn't look like the imp can do a flyby safely.
Runok can.
After this the Hydra goes.
