"Just cross the bridge from the flood pools and you will be at the eating cave"(forgive lack of formatting. Seems to be a few of you on so not fussing about formatting from mobile so you can continue)
"We could take a break. But, Blik, I have one more question: who is in the eating cave? Like is the chieftain in there? Or does he hang out somewhere else?"
OOC: I am all for a short rest if the others want to. I would like to get my healing dice back in case things get...dicey (forgive me, please! I didn't mean it!) with our HP situation.
Bok'Shir listens as Muck and Bridgette discuss lying, and then Penley delivers a masterclass in its application, not that Blik or Bridgette realise that. That answered that question then.
Uncomfortable at the blatant deceit, and not needing rest, Bok'Shir turns toward the cave mouth.
"Will be watching cave. Case goblin appear", he says, scratching at the scales on the back of his neck as he starts to move away from the group.
"Oh really? I never would have guessed!" Penley replies sarcastically, walking over to a tree. He wiggles his hips, then launches himself up the trunk. He climbs to the top, and lays in the branches, the way he prefers. Ever since he came to the surface, he's found sleeping in trees to be both safe and comfortable. Not everything can climb up here, so it's hard for things to sneak up on him. He calls down from the top "The eating cave is where you eat. Took me a minute to make the connection" he chuckles to himself and leans back, ready to take a cat-nap.

"Bridgette was confused too. She thought we wanted to eat the human. But he is just there as we don't have anywhere else to put prisoners. We have never taken them before."
Your short rest is uneventful. Bok'shirnothing happens from the cave. It might have been a short enough time that your murder spree has not yet been discovered.
Bok'Shir waits patiently for the others to finish resting, sat in a position where he could watch the cave without being easily seen. When he spots the others getting ready to continue, he stands, his shield at the ready already, and draws his sword.
"Time we go, yes?", he says to others as they approach, expecting them to send him first.
(DM: Before I make the change in the sheet, did we manage to take a short rest?)
Muck has slumped into a cozy little puddle, reflecting in its rest about how simple its existence was when lying here like this was all there was to it... As it always does when it takes a rest, Muck considers staying like this forever... but that annoying voice inside it's own self keeps jabbering away ideas and questions and thoughts of things to do...
So, with a sigh, Muck forms back into a vaguely humanoid shape and says... "Okay, I feel better. Lets go get our boss out of the eating cave."
Muck then slumps into goo and starts inching its way stealthily back into the cave...

Penley, now somewhat rested, hops out of the tree, landing on his feet. He stretches, cracking his back with an audible pop. He rubs his eyes, and yawns, showing his fangs "Bok'shir, can you watch our little friend? I need to talk to Bridgette and Muck"
He motions the ooze and half-orc over to a little huddle. "I say we let our little friend free, and make sure he doesn't follow us. Now that we know where the eating cave is, we don't need him anymore. Besides, I'd rather have you" He looks at Bridgette "In the cave rather than babysitting. If we bring him along, then start taking out the goblins, he might start to cause a fuss and get us killed."

Bok’Shir looks suspiciously at Penley, knowing exactly how devious the Tabaxi can be. He is almost certain this private chat is to discuss making sure he is the one to take all the risks as they move back into the cave.
He should have known better than to think these folk would be any different to the ones who used to take advantage of him back in the city.
But he was not the same Kobold as he used to be. He looks down to his sword and smiles, then across to Penley and gives him a nod.
He wanders over to Blik, sheathes his sword and takes hold of the rope, tugging him towards the cave mouth.
Muck seems to light up at Penley's suggestion. "Then we won't have to lie about making his friends dead!" It says with delight.
"You're a very smart cat person, Penley. I hope no one ever makes you dead..."Muck looks between Penley and Bridgette, getting a little misty."You know... I feel like a very lucky living swamp puddle to have friends like you to explain things to me. I mean, jeez, I'd be so mixed up without you... C'mere. Bring it in..."
And with that, Muck attempts a group hug...

Bridgette is too surprised to resist Muck's hug... and by the time he is wrapped around her she decides to just let it happen.
But on the actual subject of murdering goblins, Bridgette is not especially enthusiastic.
"We did say we weren't going to hurt the little guys..." she points out dryly. "Also... on a more practical note, if we let Bilk go what guarantee do we have that he won't come back to try to help his tribe? I know Goblins aren't exactly famous for their bravery, but it's still a possibility to consider that we might find ourselves facing enemies on both sides."
She pauses as she suddenly realizes that she's essentially making a case for murdering Blik as well.
"Of course I don't want to hurt Bilk either, though! I just think..."
She pauses, as a thought occurs to her that should take care of that issue...
"Wait... maybe one of us could charm him and convince him to go as far away from here as he can! That should almost guarantee that he won't do anything stupid like try to double-back and raise an alarm as soon as we're out of sight!"
Muckforms a crude approximation of an empathetic face in front of Bridgette and speaks in a reassuring voice..."It's okay, Bridgette. I understand things now. If we murder our goblin friend Blik and we don't tell anybody about it... it's not actually lying."
Muck strikes a proud pose like a child who just won the spelling bee.
Then, it hits him. "Oh! I can charm him! I'm very charming! My patron always says so! Or at least she does in my pretend games where I actually get to talk to her... But also I know a spell that can do it."
Muck looks back and forth between Bridgette and Penley with a hopeful expression that screams, "Did I do good? Do I get the praise now?

Having dragged Blik to the cave mouth, Bok'Shir turns to look back and sees the others sharing a group hug as they plot against him, or so he thinks.
"Well, I am not going to be first in", he says and straps his shield to his back, draws his sword and starts to push Blik into the cave in front of him as a living shield. "Please don't give us away, I don't want to have to hurt you", he whispers to Blik, as the point of his sword slips through the ropes to rest against the goblins skin as a warning.
(OOC: @Swift - I am assuming Blik didn't resist, shout if he does though)

Blik isn't resisting. Two of you are facing towards the cave and do see Bok'Shir start to lead Blik into the cave with a sword against his back. The other one has their back to the cave. The one who can't see is: 3 (1 Penley, 2 Muck, 3 Bridgette).
Penley tries to escape the hug, but it is too late. He grunts, and looks like that one internet cat known as grumpy cat (look her up)
"That's perfect, Muck!" Penley tells the ooze. He's realized at this point Muck has the brain of a naive child, and the best way to deal with children is to praise them whenever they do something and basically treat them like a puppy. "How about you do it right now? Bok'shir," he calls out to the kobold "Can you bring our little friend over here, please?"

Muck hurries after Bok'Shir and Blik, loudly whispering, "Ooh, wait-wait-wait-wait...."
The ooze quickly catches up to the kobold and the goblin and says, "Hey. Wait. Guys. Stop... I've got something to say to Blik..."
Once it has the goblin's attention. Muck shapes its pseudopod into the vague shape of a heart. "See that? I made you a heart because we're friends... Do you like it!?"
The ooze's voice reverberates with magical force as it casts Charm Person...
