(ooc, doesn't have to be an oath to Tyr. The description of the faction in the module is this:
Any non-evil character can join the Order of the Gauntlet in Waterdeep. Clerics, monks, and paladins are especially welcome, particularly if they worship Helm, Torm, or Tyr.
The order’s mission is to seek out and destroy evil before it gains a foothold. The surge of violence in Waterdeep spurs members of the order to find adventurers who can help return peace to the city.
An individual can be a member of the faction and also a member of the clergy or a knight pledged to a specific god or temple. Members of the order act alone or in small groups. Some are Waterdavian natives; others hail from distant settlements and have come to the city on temple business.
I'll do the ic reply tomorrow as I'll have more time)
"The Field Ward is not technically a real ward. It is outside of the city and was once a caravan yard between Waterdeep’s two northernmost walls, kept free of settlement to serve as a killing field in times of war. As refugees from various calamities settled there after not being allowed into the city’s wealthy northern neighborhoods, the area has grown up into a lawless town of its own. The Watch doesn’t patrol this area, and many crimes go uninvestigated, which is why we step in. The City Guard oversees the Field Ward from the walls around it, but its members get involved only when folk moving into or out of the city are threatened. The whole area is a bit of a muddy mess, populated by the poorest people and those who take advantage of those folks’ desperation. A lot of the guilds don't operate there. Like the dungsweepers guild. It will assault your noses.
As far as the Watch throwing you in jail, it is highly unlikely they will get involved. Though you might also be able to resolve this without fighting. Stopping it all before the fight breaks out and dispersing them."
Xaul nods as he listens to her words. He then responds 'Right. Go to the Field Ward, and try and bring about some peace, and even some order in such a lawless place. If we find a Zhent or a hired gang stirring up trouble, and we can't negotiate with them, I'm assuming we might have to deal with them using our spells...we'll aim for non-lethal combat, since some of these thugs simply fight for coin and a roof over their head. Desperate times drives people to desperate measures of course.' He then inquires whether there is any further comments to be made, and if not, he thanks her for the temple's warm welcome, then heads off. He thinks to himself Mud. Stench. Waste. All in a great big field of lawless riots and revelry. Hmm, that shouldn't be too bad, I've performed and camped at music festivals before.
Skyenods, and falls into step with Xual. "Either we get our heads bust or we bust heads. I know which side I'd rather end up on. Not spent a lot of time in Field Ward, considering the lax eye of the law, usually spent more time down the Docks way. Thought we might have a longer period of time without fighting though, now, as fancy proprieters. You know?"

There are people who can heal all over Waterdeep. Pretty much any temple will be able to offer healing services for a cost. You can also fairly easily find someone to buy potions of healing from (Correlon's crown by your new abode sells them. 50gp each and there are currently 4 in stock).
Once you have made your preparations, you head to the Field Ward. It doesn't take long before you spot somewhere that tensions seem to be rising. No fight has started yet, but you have a good feeling that if you don't do anything, one will break out in the next 5 minutes. There are four thugs who are currently insulting and mocking a couple of halflings, clearly trying to goad them into throwing the first punch.
They are most certainly whatever local thugs were around. And you have been spotted (when you look at the party composition, you will stick out like a sore thumb anywhere. I don't think any of you are "normal") but they don't seem to care about you being present, just going about their business ignoring you.
Sehaethas is tagging along at Kylaski's insistence. He can easily spot the rising tensions (passive insight 14), As usual, when going someplace smelly, Kylaski hides and make him do it.
Looking at the situation he decides rather than trying to convince the thugs to stop their taunting, he'll try distracting them with a song. Making like he's just someone singing for coin, he bursts into song, a song having nothing to do with the current situation.
Performance 10 (not a great performance... Must be nervous about the audience)
Skye looks at her comrade as they start to perform, eyebrow quirked, before she can open her mouth.
What are they, a party of bards? Bards?! In this city? They wouldn’t have lasted a week. Still she doesn’t interrupt. They’re Warlocks one and all, and there’s always the wrath of their patrons to fall back on.
Xaulbristles slightly to Sehaethas breaking out into song at first as he gets memories from all the previous times he'd used the dramatic arts to try and resolve conflicts, thinking Ended up losing a party member last time I tried acting... Although it doesn't particularly present the intimidating edge the party might need to tackle such thugs, he soon sees how some music could diffuse the situation. He takes out his hand drum and begins patting out an excellent rhythm to Sehaethas' tune, one that's soothing and methodical, but also catchy and attractive. He hopes this will turn the attention away from whatever violence is happening and towards the party, for better or for worse. [Performance: 21]
Clarification, it's Sehaethas that is singing, not Kylaski. Kylaski is the one with warlock powers, Sehaethas is just a bard wannabe. So he's singing, since it's still a bit too early for crossbows.
Damros hangs back; his head on a swivel to check to the sides and behind their little group of singing 'muscle'. In his mind, he imagines seeing his friends wandering the muddy pathways of the Field Ward... looking more like a mixed bag of oddly attired thugs themselves... looking for OTHER thugs to intimidate.
With a sigh, he goes back to watching for any indications of trouble ahead (and behind.)
There is definitely trouble brewing ahead. The singing doesn't seem to have escalated it or calmed it down. Xaul has attracted the attention of more passerbys, if anything just taking attention off the thugs. You get the impression that the thugs need to respect you to pay attention, either by violence or fear. (i.e. intimidation checks or combat)
Skyesteps forward and crooks a finger at the thugs and the halflings.
"Come here, before I have my friend here," she gestures at Xual, "come to you. Trust me, you don't want this. I don't want this. But I don't want this trouble more."
As Skye starts to berate the thugs, to fairly poor avail, Xaul realises that now isn't the time for a show, no matter how good, as it isn't getting anywhere. He waves a hand and says to the crowd 'Shoo, shoo, show's over, come to Trollskull Manor if you're in need of an encore.' As Skye gestures back to him, Xauldecides now's the time for some of his patron's newly gifted magic. He splashes a pinch of water over himself quickly and quietly, and suddenly his body begins to warp, the water melting and twisting his skin until he appears much taller, his tusks longer, eyes sunken further back into his head and his hands extra wrought and nasty. Every aspect of himself, from his hair, to his nails, right down to his clothes begins to appear grottier, darker, and overall, much more scary. He's still just recognisable as himself, but has used disguise self to turn himself into what would be expected of a stereotypical half-orc; a terrifying, hulking, dirty beast of a man with eyes that stare death into the watcher's heart, and with the hands and teeth to eat it too. He then utters in a deep voice to Skye 'Please ma, lemme try and gnaw on that one there,' pointing a grizzled finger at a random thug, 'his neck looks proper scrummy....'
[Intimidation: 13 (still 13 if I were to get advantage from his change, the second roll was a Nat 1 lmao)]
I was about to say Skye gets advantage if Xaul does something to help the intimidation. But you literally just beat me to it. I'll take your 13 as the advantage, which is just enough to pass the first check.
They stop and you clearly have their attention now. But they aren't fleeing just yet. Either someone else needs to get involved, or Skye/Xaul need to continue being intimidating. And someone can roll another intimidation check with advantage

Damros sighs as he watches his fellows try to intimidate the rabble... or at least, LOOK like we are capable of more than stealing a sweet pastie off a vendor's cart.
Looking about Damros will try to find the most sinister looking being in the area... either big sized (bigger than Xaul) or shrouded in black gear (which stands out like a sore thumb on a day lit avenue.)
Picking which ever .. who is less than 30 feet away, Damros will speak some random, yet stern words in elvish; point at the individual; and then use Eldritch Blast -- however -- holding the release so the arcane energies leap and crackle between his hands.
With his bonus action, he will whisper a prayer to the Raven Queen as he uses Blessing of the Raven Queen to 'suddenly' appear behind the chosen target.
Damros ends; whispering in the target's ear, "You really should watch your back or any idiot could open you up."

Can Skye make out any markings on either the halflings or the thugs? Are these run of the mill ne’er-do-wells or true blue Zhents?
Also, are we approaching from behind or have they seen us?

They pay no attention to the song. You do get the attention of a couple of urchins though who listen in
