Being a rogue, I swiftly dodge away from the venin-born's spell. Taking advantage of its vulnerability, I swing my shortsword around at the venin-born. 

Attack: 19 Damage: 11

Mentis dodges the wave by an inch as Zenaphoreth shoots a burst of fire at the venin-born and Dwayne sinks a dagger into the venin-born's flesh. (OOC: almost halfway)

(OOC: Torin?)

OOC: is the venin-born an animal?

I shoot the venin-born with my short bow Attack: 23 Damage: 6

The venin-born will run and make an attack (with claws) at Dwayne.

I cast firebolt at the venin-born's feet, if I don't hit it, I can at least impede it, I think to myself.

DC: 13

Damage: 8

The bolt hits the ground in front of the venin-born, lighting it on fire. The venin-born dips its hand in the fire, tracing a circle around it. "Can't get Golit now! Can't get Golit!" it rasps with a little dance of happiness. It whispers something to the fire, and the flames leap up, reaching the ceiling. The wooden boards begin to burn. 

(OOC: Mentis?)

I attempt to hit the Venin-born in the skull with my mace

To hit: 12 Damage: 7 

(OOC: That'll miss. Torin, Dwayne?)

After being knocked onto the ground by an almost killing blow, I try to roll away from the venin-born's attacks

The building, a relic of some other time, is mostly made of wood, which is burning as the venin-born dances happily in the flames. "Can't get Golit! Can't get him! No, no, no!"
