As you enter the hall leading to the back you hear a familiar sounding voice from around the corner, "Pssst. Fist? Gotu?" a pause and then,"Are you there? It is me, Asbestos. Yes? Hello?"

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Under the ghostly luminescence of the lanterns that sparsely lit the lower decks, Molly clung to the ceiling like a spectral apparition from a gothic tale. Her eyes, glinting with mischief, caught sight of her companions skulking through the shadows towards her. With the ease of a creature accustomed to the dark, she scuttled across the beams, barrels secured under each arm.
"Ah, finally seid ihr hier," Molly chirped addressing Lace and the others, her voice a bizarre symphony of words, mixing delight with a dash of impatience. "Did you miss das Fest, meine Lieben?" Her laughter, a curious blend of girlish giggle and eerie cackle, echoed through the hold, mingling with the sound of water sloshing gently against the ship’s hull.
As she descended from her lofty perch, her movements were lithe and unnaturally graceful, a dance of shadows and dim light. "Excuse das Wasser,"she quipped with a theatrical flourish. "Ich needed to pee sehr urgently," she added, her joke punctuated by a wink as murky as the bilge water at their feet.
The Rhinemaiden escorts them to their prize and points to the saffron-laden barrels with a dramatic gesture, "Here, look! Saffron, so kostbar und nass, wie meine kleine Witze." Her eyes sparkled with an unhinged glee, inviting her friends to share in the chaotic revelry of their nocturnal escapade.
Mad Molly's demeanor as usual was a tapestry woven with threads of madness and mirth, each word and gesture an invitation into her twisted reality—a realm where the macabre danced hand in hand with the absurd.

The changeling gave a sigh of relief as he made it out of the common room. He could feel his heart pumping in his chest and the smell of sweat in his armpits. His tongue went over his now pointed teeth and noticed his breathing became heavy and labored. 'Oh what fun!' He thought sarcastically. The druid didn't know the meaning behind his panic attacks nor had any idea what they were (Alas, mental health services were not the best in Victorian times), but instead assumed it could quite possibility be the fault of his multiple mosquito bites. Why was he so flustered? Perhaps it was malaria... or (gasp) the dreaded cholera?
He ruffled up his hair and went on all fours to give a dog-getting-off-water-like shake. He jumped back up, then kept going further into the hall, constantly looking back just in case. "Fist?"He whispered, mostly to himself. Stopping for a second, he couldn't tell if the grumbling behind him as a friend or a foe which sent a shiver down his spine. He did NOT want to take the chance it might be Jarrow again, so as he continued to walk further down, his pace quickened.
With the same nonchalance of someone fiddling with something, Asbestos casts Druidcraft to check the weather. Then asked, "Gotu? Are you there?"

With the same nonchalance of someone fiddling with something, Asbestos casts Druidcraft to check the weather. Then asked, "Gotu? Are you there?"
Gotu turns around upon hearing his name and almost casts Fire Bolt but stops right away upon seeing it's Asbestos.
"Quiet." He frowns, then looks one more time before having the Unseen Servant open the door for him. Then, he signals the changeling to hurry up over.
The brute hones in on the boys. "Ah, good. Listen. Plan's off. This place did pay it's dues. It's still a Guild house."
"I need to check in on t'other place. 'Sbestos, go grab Lace a' te ship. Tell 'er I said somethin's off; she'll know."
He turns to the wizard. "Check wit' Ma'ame Yeni. She's go' some business wit' ya before ya go." He gives Gotu a half grin. "When yer done, meet me at t'other place, The Flamingo Bijou. S'not far from 'ere. Jus' follow the smell o' cinnamon on te street." He pats the wizard on the head like a child. "Take yer time, boyo." With that, not waiting for a response, he turns on his heel and begins movin' at a long gait. O' this was gonna be fun!!

"Quiet." He frowns, then looks one more time before having the Unseen Servant open the door for him. Then, he signals the changeling to hurry up over.
"!!!" Like a cartoon character, Asbestos's gasp sounded a lot like a squeaky toy. Especially like those weird, long chicken-looking ones (which was actually a prop he kept in his back pocket). Except he didn't have it with him this time- as he was wearing a skirt- so the noise was all just him. He quickly covered his mouth, then looked wide-eyed at the near flames that almost erupted from the wizard's hands. That was a close one! All this time together, he should have learned not to sneak up on the guy.
He nodded, still keeping his hand over his mouth and giving a muffled affirmative "Mhmm!" in fear. He followed the command of Gotu, tagging along next to him. "We need to find someone's office. Someone named Yeni, yes. The madame of this place." He kept his voice low and in a whisper, eyes constantly looking around. "Have you seen Fist? We seem to have lost him..." He tried to spread the blame here.
As soon as he said that, he quickly turned around to face the man he was just talking about. 'Oh! Hello~"
"Oh- yes. Um okay!" Asbestos was startled with the quick change of plans, giving another weak thumbs up as the other man started to leave before turning to head out the door himself. He stopped. Then turned around, "Oh, um."He fiddled around with his hands, "Yes. Well, I had also checked the weather. It is going to rain. A big thunderstorm. Yes. Okay-" He cut himself off and nervously continued out the door.
Now he had to go find Lace.
((Perception check: 15 + 1= 16 as he goes to look for her))
Just as Asbestos steps through the door there is the sound of breaking glass followed by screams, running, and a general din of panic all originating from the front.

Molly has 3 barrels of saffron (4 if she emptied her backpack of all her equipment). That leaves 8 or 9 barrels left to divide among yourselves the same way. Smithy doesn't find anything of value but several crates that have already been opened and contain regular supplies (including tiny items to serve as your sound distractions).
The water continues to pour in flooding the lower decks. It is now pass the ankles and at a depth of mid-calf.

Molly barely registered Lace’s whisper amidst the chaos, the shrill cries of the watchman reverberating through the ship. The word "alarum"pierced the darkness like a dagger, slicing through her thoughts with urgent precision. Her eyes gleamed with a mixture of excitement and madness, the kind of glint that signaled her readiness to plunge into the heart of chaos.
Without a second glance at Lace or the others, Molly melted into the shadows, her form a ghostly blur. The pandemonium above was a perfect diversion. She darted through the corridors like a specter, her destination clear in her mind: the captain’s quarters!
"Die Kapitäns Quartiere,"she muttered, her voice a haunting giggle of excitement, "dort versteckt sich das Beste. The good stuff, versteckt vor neugierigen Augen."
Her movements were swift and silent, each movement calculated sometimes keeping to the floor other times clinging to the ceiling like a dancing spider. The distant echo of rushing feet and shouted commands fueled her determination. As she made her way through the ship, she envisioned the treasures she might find—a hidden cache of wealth, precious artifacts, or perhaps something far more sinister.
The lower decks echoed with the sounds of the crew’s frantic movements above, their fear and confusion palpable in the air. Molly’s heart raced with a predatory thrill, her senses heightened by the imminent danger. She moved with an eerie grace, her fingers tracing the walls as if feeling for the secrets they might hold.
The captain’s quarters loomed ahead, a promise of untold riches and hidden knowledge. Molly's mind buzzed with anticipation. She imagined the opulent decor, the locked chests, and the concealed compartments that surely awaited her probing hands.
As she approached the door to the captain's quarters, she paused for a moment, her breath a ghostly whisper in the damp air. "Ja, Drusilla," she murmured to her doll, "We will find the treasures, und dann wird die darkness tanzen."
Her hands moved to push the door open, ready to unveil the secrets hidden within, the sounds of chaos above fading into the background of her single-minded focus.
OOC:@Brian_Avery, note that Molly has 2 barrels of saffron, one in her pack and one she is carrying under her arm as I'm opting to keep everything (her various items) she has in pack as something may be needed later on. @Arthuropodd, there are 9 barrels of saffron that Molly showed everyone... for Lace, Smithy, and Steelclaw... three each... or however you guys want to split it. @Brian_Avery, if Molly does reach the captain's quarters I'm assuming its like the old Spanish galley ships at the back end of the ship and maybe a window view of the sea, etc.so it could be a much better escape route than the upper decks where the crew is headed!
Smithy takes a couple of Saffron barrels, making sure he has one hand free. He walks a bit back and throws a couple of tiny items that are imbued with the sounds of somebody shouting help. Two to the lowest dec,k one on the deck where they are and one upstairs such that people above will hear it. He'll keep a couple of tiny items with him as they listens next to the door for people going towards the shouts. If someone seems to reach the stairs above he'll imbue a new item with just a visual effect, when someone get to their deck he'll imbue one again, and he leaves the ones below to emit the sounds.
As soon as sailors seem to be on the lowest deck he'll move towards the stairs going back up to, a hopefully empty, upper deck.
((Could Smithy use Mage hand to move one barrel with him? Recasting it every minute?
For the Tinkering he uses this property to get the sounds to stop and hopefully have the sailors go down towards the lowest deck: 'If you try to exceed your maximum, the oldest property immediately ends, and then the new property applies.'))

(Small clarification): If you keep your equipment only 1 barrel can be stuffed into your backpack and then 1 under each arm, you can still take 3 but the arrangement doesn't leave a hand free to use said equipment, weapons, etc.
It will take you a few rounds to reach the captain's quarters. I will post when you do once the action elsewhere has unfolded over those couple rounds.
@Smithy
Your use of the Tinkering feature is doable as that is how they work by RAW. However, each barrel weighs too much for Mage Hand to carry.
@All aboard ship
This will count as round 1, not for combat purposes but to keep track of which order the following sequence of events occur.
(Before I was handling the passage of time in a more amorphous manner. Once the alarm was sounded I now need to keep track of time in a round by round method, the reasons why may soon become evident. Lace and Steelclaw can still post something for round 1.)

OOC: Thanks for the clarification, noted then Molly only takes 2 barrels of saffron, 1 in her pack and the other 1 she carries under her arm. For me it might be very valuable but the items in her back are too and may be needed before the night is over. I got to remember for Molly to acquire 1 or 2 Net when she can. I usually get them with every character no matter if they use them as weapons or not, they make for makeshift hammocks and other things, also to wrap around stuff and drag it along or swing it over a shoulder. But I forgot when I was setting her up to add it to inventory. Anway I'm putting two custom items into her character sheet inventory for 2 barrels of saffron. Molly would kill for a bag of holding I think, she's definitely got the 'hoarder' mentality, lol!

The sounds of glass breaking shatters Asbestos's thoughts as he pivot-heel turns back on inside. He murmurs, "Oh no."He didn't want to face Jarrow again. Oh no. Not at all. 'A different disguise, yes, that would work!' In a matter of seconds, he shifts into a general human looking version of himself (aka a lanky Abe Lincoln) and scrambles to throw on his regular robe from inside his bag. He still kept the skirt on though. It looked nice!
He reaches inside his bag to also pull out a sickle, just in case. He didn't know if this situation can turn deadly, but oh boy oh boy he sure hoped it did NOT!
He huddles close behind Fist and Gotu, then asks, "Guess we should go on back? To investigate, yes?"

@Molly
@Smithy
Your use of the Tinkering feature is doable as that is how they work by RAW. However, each barrel weighs too much for Mage Hand to carry.
@All aboard ship
He murmurs, "Oh no." He didn't want to face Jarrow again. Oh no.
<---- me irl slow reader, even slower writer easily jumpy thanks for being patient

Similar to the current encounter aboard the ship those at the brothel should adhere to a round by round method until the current encounter is resolved.
This will count as round 1, not for combat purposes but to keep track of which order the following sequence of events occur.
(Fist and Gotu can still post something for round 1.)
(How many barrels can Lace carry with 9 str? Athletics 17. She'll try for 1 in the arm & 1 in the pack. Could she carry a 3rd without needing more athletic checks?)
Stealth check 16
Int check to think of a better way off the ship 5. Guess she doesn't think fast under pressure & can't think of the captains quarters. If there are 2 entrances to the hold we could put the noisemakers there & hope they bypass us.
OOC: Lace and the others can always follow Molly, she doesn't dawdle being a bit crazy just bounces around but I would image the others know how she is and have time to follow her if they want to follow a lunatic about that takes her marching orders from a creepy doll. lol
