I have added the various characters from the encounters so far to Scabard in the "characters" section, just so you have a point of reference. Every so often I'll sumarise the story to date as a "session log" so that you can recap easily without ploughing through the forum threads.

I would absolutely be down for a discord server! I find them a bit easier to navigate than your traditional forums/threads, plus the channels give a lot of fun utility for campaign memes, character vibes, etc c:

And, agreed, real life always takes priority. That's part of the draw for play by post for myself, personally. You post when you're able to <3

Happy to use Discord and no worries at all regarding posting.  We're here for an antidote for RL's curveballs and challenges - when we have the time! Hope life gives you a bit of an easier time of it soon.  Had a pretty rough week myself with work especially, but before I worked on a fun character background with Amorillo at the weekend, I managed to sneak in a speculative job application for a change of focus so keeping fingers crossed! Should hear back in a couple of weeks.

I should probably warn you folks that I've a real nightmare run of shifts starting Friday through to Tuesday morning, so it may go a little quiet from me. I'll do what I can when I can.

One of the play by post games I'm in is using discord for chat. The problem is when I see a chat there, I have problems remembering which game it is about. Also, I'm in a LOT of discord servers, some which are very verbose. So unless I get pinged, it may take a while for me to notice.

How does everyone wish to proceed?  I accept that time is limited for everyone, so would you rather RP your departure and trip north or have me narrate forward to arriving in Skirnvjar? Either is absolutely fine.

I imagine the trip north would have some peril and teach us about what the land is like up here, so I'd like to RP that out, myself, I'm in no rush to accomplish anything in particular, just want to enjoy the story. :)  Also any progress on getting Discord? All the rest of us are on it but we don't talk about much of use without the DM there!

Either way is fine with me.
