I think it may still be open, they don't appear to have added a new player on the campaign thread yet. I'd say go ahead and post an application, what's the worst that could happen?
Sebastian Crowe?
This is for Frozen Sick, right? I hadn't seen any new PCs added since the recruiting went up. Maybe the DM chose someone but they haven't been introduced yet?
If you're reading this, then yet again, I require another player for my campaign. The party is still at level 2, and the party consists of a druid, a sorcerer, a cleric, and a paladin. Please make a character that compliments this composition, using the guidlines at the start of this thread. I hope I get some responses!

Chicken Licken
Started playing the game in 2020; already a forever DM somehow.
Class (Subclass (if any)): Rogue (probably swashbuckler)
Background: Haunted One
Alignment: Neutral Good
Backstory: Sable was living happily with her family in a small hamlet. Unknown to them a vampire had taken up residence in the area. A group, that believed the ends justifies the means, was hunting the vampire. The group touched the entire hamlet, and killed anyone that left a house. A group of heroes had seen the smoke, they killed the group and saved Sable, but she was the only surviver. To make it even more tragic, there was a vampire living in the hamlet. But it was a recently turned priest who was not evil (at least not yet). He had yet to drink human blood and was hunting dangerous monsters nearby. The vampire had been sleeping in the remains of a stone church, the only building not torched. Sable was taken in by the heroes and given training as a rogue. She was able to testify against others affiliated with the group that killed her town (a common occurrence for them), and helped bring them down. With her parents avenged, Sable now wanders the world hunting monsters (including human monsters) so that what happened to her doesn't happen to others.
Comments: I've been playing play by post games for decades and have never dropped out of a game. This is an NPC character from a campaign I'm running (the PC are the heroes). The age on the character sheet is very young (12 years), but I'll change that to whatever is appropriate for this game. And finally, she isn't prepared for the cold, because the background gives her a 45 pound chest of monster hunting tools but no cash. I don't know how a character is supposed to carry that around. Will adjust to fit.
Backstory: Growing up high in the icy peaks of the Frostspire Mountains, Klikkerc always felt a connection to the chill winds that swept through the valleys. As an Aarakocra, he soared effortlessly through the frigid skies, exploring hidden caverns and ancient ruins nestled within the mountains. His keen senses allowed him to navigate treacherous landscapes, and he learned to hunt and gather from the bounty of the frozen wilderness. One fateful day, while exploring a long-abandoned ice cave, Klik stumbled upon a hidden chamber filled with ancient relics and artifacts. Among them, he found a peculiar crystal that pulsed with an eerie light. Curious, he reached out to touch it, unleashing a powerful surge of magic. The blast sent him flying back, and as he regained his senses, he realized that the magic had awakened something dark and powerful within the mountains—a force that had been sealed away for centuries. With winter storms intensifying and creatures of ice and shadow emerging from the depths, Klik felt a sense of responsibility. The land he loved was in peril, and he couldn’t stand by as it fell into chaos. Gathering his belongings, he set off on a quest to find a way to contain the awakened evil.
For Cold Resistance, maybe he has a Ring of Warmth? Since he's from a cold area, it got passed down in his family or something. It's only Uncommon.
Backstory: Born into the Valagans, a nomadic tribe from the Frostback Mountains. As a boy, Nyx woke, weak and nauseous, to find himself the lone survivor of his slain tribe. In the aftermath, fueled by a burning desire for vengeance, Nyx embarked on a relentless quest to find those responsible. Despite his tireless efforts, the marauders remained elusive. Driven by his search for retribution, Nyx began to forge alliances with those who operated in the shadows. Over the years, his quest for vengeance transformed into a struggle for survival and autonomy in a world far removed from the mountains of his former home. He forged a skillset in stealth and subterfuge, which became his greatest assets as he adapted to life alongside criminals and mercenaries. Nyx's pursuit of vengeance remains unfulfilled, and his heart still yearns for answers.

We could say that Sable pawned some of her starting equipment for cold weather gear (10 gp), e.g. traded a flask of holy water for cold weather gear and 15 gp.
