Naivara moves to stand beside the door, keeping an eye on whatever is going on around her and staying aware in case something approached the room they were in. She looks out into the hall, looking for any signs of anything following them.
Inside the chest are Pequ and Fae-Selu's equipment. Underneath that, you see a book in what looks to be made out of snakeskin tied shut with a golden cord. A few money pouches are stashed in the corner of the chest, as well as a sheathed dagger. The last thing of note is four potion bottles filled with a pinkish liquid.
Zee looks at the tapestry and smiles. "That is exactly the types of things I am looking for. I would love to have that since we are divvying up the treasure instead of selling them outright and splitting the money."

Perception: 14
The hallway looks safe and clear but you think you hear something coming from the east and north. The sound is faint but it is there. A faint hissing sound, followed by a low moaning sound.
Naivara tenses immediately and looks towards the others a bit alarmed as she whispers, "I hear hissing sounds... it's coming from the north and the east I think. I can't tell if it is getting closer though." She grips her weapon tightly in case the sounds were getting closer to their destination, her eyes focused on the hallway.
"Thank you, Pequeno, I will be able to sharpen it again eventually."Zubeki slides it back in place in the long pouch it was held in. "Zee, let's see if we can unlatch the tapestry from the wall. There should be hooks or some leather throngs attaching it to something..." Zubeki walks to the edge of the tapestry and lifts it away from the wall, looking up and inspecting the top of it.
Fae-Selu heads over to the chest, picking up his few items, letting out a cheery hum, because he has things back. Seeing the remaining contents of the chest, he then scans the party, spots Zubecki, and signals for him to come over. "Any Ideas?" He says, gesturing to the potions and the book.
"Hmm? Actually, my friend, you'd be better suited for this task. See if you can try the tapestry from the wall and I can start inspecting those bottles" Zubeki leaves the tapestry and gets close to the chest. He bends in close to the four bottles and stares at them intently. (Investigation on the bottles: 13)
If Zubeki deems them safe to pick up, he will uncork one, waft in the odor, and try to figure out the potion. (Arcana: 6)
"Think it could be another snake friend?" Jolly asks, sounding genuinely hopeful as he made his way over to the door. Against his better judgement, seeing no obvious signs of a trap, he'll try to listen in through the eastern door to see if he could pick up a bit more. Whether he succeeds or not, he'll stop after a minute and shift his staff back into its loose club form, and ready it to strike the first snake-eyed man to try and enter through it.
Though he silently hoped it wouldn't come to that. He has yet to actually meet one anyways, so this whole thing could be a misunderstanding...
As Jolly listens out the door the sound is definitely getting closer.
Zubeki gives the potion a sniff and has no idea what it could be.
Zee manages to get the tapestry rolled up and she places it in the corner of the room to grab on the way out.
Vrak looks through the dresser and finds various types of clothing. Most of it looks very shabby. Inside the desk are a lot of papers written in an ancient unknown language. There are drawings and diagrams of human and snake hybrids. You find 6 gold pieces and 14 silver pieces.
Naivara keeps her eyes peeled down the hallway and the sounds are definitely getting louder.
Naivara tenses and she looks towards the others. "The sounds are getting louder, we'll have to fight any minute now I believe, should we ambush them?" she whispers, readying her weapon as soon as she knows the sounds are close enough to be considered actually heading in their direction, or in specifics, to the room they were in. She grips the handle of her Greataxe ready to swing the moment she sees an enemy as she waits for Vrak to answer.
Hearing Naivara's warning, Pequeno checks his crossbow to make sure nothing is damaged after it was taken from him in the ambush and loads it. He then scuttles under the desk and watches the door to the east.
Vrak takes the money from the desk but leaves the papers. "Zee, there are some papers in a language I do not know in the desk if you want them. Plus some pictures."
He then heads over to the eastern wall to pull the sheet off whatever is hanging there.
As he heads over he tells Zubeki and Peq "Take what is of interest and value from the chest. If we have to run I don't want to leave it behind."
As he reaches the eastern wall he then address the everyone in the room. "We might have company soon so finish up what you are doing. I say we wait and see what is coming and defend the room if we can. If we run, its out the door we came in. We can try to leave or get to the altar room. There was only one door into the altar room so that might be easiest to defend rather than going outside."
With that said, he reaches up and pulls off the sheet...
Fae-Selu moves over to the wall, near the foot of the bed, left arm out readying his instrument with his eyes watching the door the sound is coming from.
"Not snake friend. Not at all." He mutters, shaking his head before whispering a curt warning about the eastern door. Trusting Naivara to guard the southern door, and hoping Vrak would take his place at the other he's done with the sheets, the firbolg will slip his staff-club into the crook of his shield arm, dig out three rocks from his pocket, and blow on them. Glowing runes akin to the one adorning his staff appear as if etched into the stone. At which point he'll ready one to throw one of magic stone the first hostile looking creature to appear in the eastern door.
In the case of Vrak not taking his place, he'll rekindle the enchantment of his staff-club and continue to ready it.

Zubeki recorks the bottle quickly and adds the four to his bag, gently to not crack any. He slides his staff through the loop on his bag while he pulls out his crossbow. He stands, eyes darting between the south and east door waiting for an ambush. In a low whisper, he says "Keen eyes everyone..."
Two humanoid creatures turn the corner and begin walking in the direction of the party. Their heavy claws scrap along the ground as their long tongues flick in and out of their mouths as they make a hissing noise. They are dragging a body of a man. He is in a loincloth and looks to have been beaten really bad. His face is a bloody mess as well as having two black eyes. There are claw and whip marks on his back and he is moaning as the drag him along.
Naivara peeks around the corner seeing the figures getting closer, she holds her arm out in the room so the figures didn't see as she held up 2 fingers. Indicating that there were two of them and she stays dead silent, then she sees that they are dragging someone and she swallows hard, hoping that others could tell the moaning sounds was that of an innocent victim. She grips her weapon tightly, ready to swing the moment they see her.
With that said, Vrak reaches up and pulls off the sheet...
It was blocking a 6' mirror made out of a dark black wood, all along the edges of the mirror are arcane symbols carved and painted in a reddish/gold color.
