Zee looks you over and frowns for a moment. "Aye, I am. And you are?"
'The name's Tyrgram.' Tygrams replies as he leans in a bit closer. He had seen how Vrak and Zubeki handled the questioning of that albino Dwarf back at Kaya's so he figured he could give it a go. It did not seem all that difficult: the key was to be all confident and businesslike.
'I'm new in town and my party and I are about to have a walkabout in the jungle. We're on a mission of life and death so it's very hush-hush. But that's not important right now. What is important is that you have a job that needs to be doing, some temple ruins that needs scrubbing, right? Now I'm not Flint Fireforge, Dwarf Adventurer but what I do have is the manpower to aid you with that. There's six of us, myself included, from various walks of life: from the deepest depths of Hell to the loftiest highs of dragonflights and all the magic in-between. So how about I scratch your back, you scratch mine and you tell me all about this adventure we're embarking on?'
Tyrgram glances to the side where Vrak, Naivara, and Jirani are standing and gives them a subtle thumbs up from under the table.
Zee watches Tyrgram give the thumbs up to someone at another table and looks over to see who he is giving it to and shakes her head with amusement. "You are so sure I'll be taking you along on my journey eh? Very well."
Zee takes her feet off the table and sits up. She looks over at the bartender and puts two fingers up in the air, after a moment the bartender comes over to the table with two glasses of a deep reddish colored liquid and puts it in front of Tyrgram and Zee. It has a very pungent, spicy smell to it. Zee holds her drink up in the air and waits for Tyrgram.
Tyrgram takes his cup and holds it up into the air as well. 'To old ruins and treasure.' He grins as he clinks his glass against Zee's and gives a well-meaning 'Cheers.' before dropping the liquid in his mouth.
Zee drinks the shot and puts the glass on the table and smiles. "The quest is easy. I have recently found a ruined temple three days journey from here and need help in clearing it out. I know it has many traps inside of it as well as some dangerous creatures most likely. I need help with the creatures. By myself, I probably wouldn't make it. I'm not that worried about the traps though. If you and your party help me out I will split everything 50/50 with you."
Vrak sits at the table and listens to the answers to his questions as they are given. Occasionally he drinks from the mug of ale he ordered when they moved to Salida's table and joined her. The answers to the questions regarding the Order of the Gauntlet he finds very interesting. The problems of the undead on Chult have certainly drawn some powerful forces. And yet those forces don't always seem to see how they may negatively impact the island, or they simply don't care.
"So tell me Salida, why should we hire you over any of the other guides, beyond that which you already stated in your ad? We seek an artifact that would put an end to the death curse. Would you be able to aid us in this quest?"
Salisa thinks about Vrak's question for a little bit. "Why would you hire me over the others? I have no idea. We are all qualified in our own special way or Jobul would not employee us. Maybe you would hire me over the others because I am better looking and you need some pretty scenery compared to the death and destruction of the jungle?" She smiles as she says that."Or maybe because I can keep you alive? Take your pick of why to hire me. I don't really know what you, Vrak, is looking for in a person. As for aiding you with this death curse. If you know it's location I can take you there, plain and simple."
Zee drinks the shot and puts the glass on the table and smiles. "The quest is easy. I have recently found a ruined temple three days journey from here and need help in clearing it out. I'm not that worried about the traps though. If you and your party help me out I will split everything 50/50 with you."
'Sounds good.' Tyrgram replies. 'Once we've hired a guide and stocked up on supplies, we'll be heading into the jungle. Which will presumably be tomorrow if nothing goes wrong.' He peers into his empty glass. 'Just to be sure: what kind of creatures are we talking about here?'
Jirani, who knew how to behave when necessary, remained quiet as Vrak held the interview. He was pleasantly surprised with the dragonborn's efficient and thorough questions, enjoying hearing the two talk. It wasn't until he felt like it was safe to chime in without disrupting anything that he smiled, intrigued by the woman seated across the table. "I like you. If I may contribute with a few questions of my own. What about the jungle brings you the most joy? What has the jungle taught you, that can't be learned anywhere else? And, last but not least: isn't this fine gentleman over here handsome?" With a twinkle in his eyes, Jirani points towards Vrak.
Naivara sits back and listens to Vrak and Salida speak to each other, leaning back as she folds her arms across her chest. She was not good at this sort of thing so she was glad Vrak took the reigns in the interviewing process. She moves her gaze over to Tyrgram to see how he was doing, only for a brief moment however before she looks back towards Vrak and Salida. That one is fine on his own... I think. If any trouble arises I'm sure Vrak will swiftly take care of it. She keeps a neutral expression despite her slight amusement at her own thoughts.
Zee shrugs. "I don't know I didn't go in there yet. But all ruined cities, temples, caves, and mines always have dangerous creatures. You said you read the adventures of Flint Frieforge then you would know all these places are loaded with traps and dangerous creatures. I need the muscle to clear the place. I am sure we will all be wealthy from the experience."

Salida looks over at the multicolored Tiefling and smiles. "What do I like about the jungle? It is pure. No complications from man messing it up. It is honest and you know what to expect from it when you enter. There is no lies and falsehoods. The jungle has taught me how to survive. You can't learn that in a comfortable city where it is nice and safe. The Jungle is brutal and unforgiving. It teaches you to be strong and be prepared or be dead. As for your friend, he is very handsome in a brutish sort of way." She smiles at them both.
Zee shrugs. "I don't know I didn't go in there yet. But all ruined cities, temples, caves, and mines always have dangerous creatures. 'If you've got the know-how on how to deal with trap, then we'll deal with any creatures trying to bite our heads off.' Tyrgram puts down his empty glass. 'Will you be staying here? So I'll know where to find you once we're done with preparations.' He stands up and extents his hand. 'I have to get back to my friends. It's been nice talking to you.'
I want to do an Insight check to see if she's being genuine about the whole thing (no evil intentions about backstabbing and taking all the loot, that sort of thing): 14
It is so loud in here, one can't focus at all in here. Zubeki's eyes dart from patron to patron, examining buckles and stitches and extrapolating personality types and social statuses. His eyes wince when he sees the status of the high elf's clothes, finely crafted but poorly maintained. I shall remember to mend my clothing often. Then he notices the teifling. Now that is a finely dressed adventurer, with the glitz of someone who has been successful. He notices Tyrgram and Vrak doing good work finding guides and takes a chance to relax for a drink.
Zubeki beckons to Jolly and approaches the bar, propping himself on the stool. He motions for two drinks and says "Anything fermented from fruit and whatever my friend here desires." He eyes the dancers and notices the leatherwork. They must do very well here, that is fine craftsmanship. When the drinks are brought to them Zubeki leans forward. In quieter tones, he asks the tender "I'm looking to buy some dancing money fruit, but it seems that they're sold out. Would you know where I could find some?"

The bartender hands you two drinks of Tej, the fruity local drink that everyone loves. As you lean forward and ask about the dancing monkey fruit the bartender quickly looks around the room to see if anyone heard you. "You do know that buying Dancing Monkey Fruit is illegal in Port correct?"
"Thank you for letting me see the jungle through your eyes, I appreciate it."He had been to many a place during his travel with the caravan, but Chult was something completely new. Getting to know the land for himself was a priority, but just as important did he find it to search for the experiences of others. That way he got a more nuanced picture. Plus, there was usually good conversation to be had that way. When she confirmed his question Jirani grinned. "He is, isn't he? I agree. It's been a pleasure sharing your table, Salida. For that, you have my gratitude."He then turns to look at Vrak, his voice silky smooth. "I do remember word of free alcohol. Is it time for that now?"
Satisfied with the conversation he just had, Tyrgram stands up and turns around. Seeing that Vrak, Jirani and Naivara are still in discussion with a potential guide, he directs his gaze towards the bar to see two familiar faces.
'Jolly, Zubeki.' He says jovially as he takes a seat at the bar. 'What have you been up to?'

"Tyrgram! Glad to see you. We had to talk quickly in private, but now we're here enjoying some tej. How does the vetting go for guides?" Zubeki raises the glass before sipping on the drink.

'You tell me.' Tyrgram replies while giving a nod towards the three talking with Salida. 'Vrak is talking with one right now. We've also picked up two other party member, courtesy of Miss Sylvane.' He points out the Elf lady and Tiefling man standing near Vrak. 'Also,' Tyrgram starts off as he rubs the back of his neck, 'I kinda sorta signed us up for a job in the jungle. We're going to be running about quite a bit so I figured we could use some extra money and goodwill in town. A hundred gold pieces and half of all the treasure we find. Not bad, right?' He finishes saying with a half excited, half expecting look.
If Jolly wasn't so darn winded by the time they got there, he might've been able to sooner point Zubeki in the right place. Instead, he could only watch with dawning satisfaction that nothing untoward happened between the pair. Although, they weren't exactly sitting next to each other. Wait... was that an unseelie he sees? And is that an Eladrin!?! 'Wait. Did I... Was that a 'way'? Am I home again?'With eyes wide, mind racing, and all concern and traces of labored breathing one, Jolly starts to look around frantically hoping to see more signs confirming his hope. And when that proves obviously not enough, he will go as far as to start smelling and tasting the air, as well as muttering something in sylvan. He in doing so will incidently draw upon a bit of latent firbolg magic to detect magic.
In the end, short of sensing at least a hint of feywild magic in the air, Jolly joins Zubeki with a still hopeful yet subdued look about him. "Water. Big Mug." He says alongside a gesture for emphasis. And with that, he'll settle for keeping an ear on the conversation, but not really appearing focused on anything beyond nursing his mug (whenever that arrives). That, and of course keeping an eye on the rest of the party; especially the elf. Not in suspicion, but rather open fascination and expectancy of something.
Of course when Tyrgram comes by he will give the would-be 'knight' a nod in greeting, as well as his full attention. "Hm! You did well, youngling. In spite of promises and the like, it would behooves not to act in haste, lest we rush headlong to our deaths." He nods sagely, then cants his head. "That said, have you learned anything else personally we should be aware of before setting off. Also, have you spoken with our new companions?"
"Thank you for your time Salida. And thank you for answering my questions. I must now return to my companions and we must make a decision of how we are to proceed."
Vrak stands and bows to Salida and then turns away. His eyes sweep across the room and he sees the others at the bar.
"Come Jarina and Naivara, I offered you a drink and I must settle at the bar. I see my other companions are here, I will introduce you."
Vrak moves to join the others. He will pay for his ale and a drink for Jarina and Naivara. Introductions are made.
Tyrgram takes his cup and holds it up into the air as well. 'To old ruins and treasure.' He grins as he clinks his glass against Zee's and gives a well-meaning 'Cheers.' before dropping the liquid in his mouth.
