Name: Nyxit Alltahail Race: Fairy Class: Warlock (Pact of the Fiend) 5 Background: Far Traveler Brief backstory/biography: Nyx (as he'd like to be called) never quite fit in with the other Fey. When he started his apprenticeship to become a warlock, everyone demanded of him to pick Archfey as his patron. Little did they know that he already had another in mind. He picked The Fiend in secret and started out of the Woods as quickly as he could, for he know it would no longer be welcoming to one such as himself now.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Xancard AKA Lady X Aasimar Divine Sorcerer with hair that looks made of gold and an obsessive love of dandelions. A once proud family snubbed by other noble houses and eventually broke as paupers, still the gods smile on such human trials and blessed the house Orien with a beautiful little lady…
It would be pretty cool to rescue perhaps a once upon a time childhood friend.

Think I’ll go standard array however those numbers are making me sad.
Name: Sigurd Stahle Race: Sea Elf Class: Cleric 5 (Knowledge) Background: Sage Brief backstory/biography: Sigurd has always been fascinated by books and thought he would have been happy as a mere librarian, but alas he discovered that this was not to be so. No library has enough knowledge to satisfy his hunger to know the unknown. He has discovered that he must travel and seek out the very thing he feels he lacks: "understanding."
I am an entertainer by trade, and yes a dwarf by birth, but not one of "those" dwarves no. I'm a rare city dwarf, yep, born and raised. I've never seen a dwarven mountain stronghold, much less stepped foot in one. I do have a working trade, I've learned woodworking, particularly that of an instrument luthier. The lute I carry is my own design, custom to my chubby hands and stubby fingers.
I look forward to helping to find Princess Arelina and keeping historical record of her recovery and safe return, As always, at your service my King.
Standard Array. not feeling lucky with the dice today
this sounds real cool!!!
Name: Jurt
Race: Changeling
Class: Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline)
Background: Anthropologist
Backstory: A wide-eyed believer in exploration. She is very optimistic and curious, always seeking out new things and finding new stories to talk about. Loves learning the people, places, and the sights. Born from a Dragonborn mother and a changeling father, the outcome is almost always a changeling. Given up to live with her maternal aunt and cousins, she tried to her very best to follow up to her clanmates to no avail. Once she was of age, she decided to study magic on her own, mostly wandering around and doing odd jobs here and there. Mostly she wanted to understand people and how they treated each other and learning history. She's a bit too trusting at times and doesn't pay attention to risks. She has fallen and gotten back up more times than she can remember. Likes to do first and think later and can certainly be very stubborn and not back down in an argument. Very talkative and excitable and would love to share any random fact or trivia with you.
Wow, that's a lot of responses already! I'm going to leave this open for 24 hours to make sure everyone who wants to has plenty of time to post a reply.
You take in still completely confused newbie players?
Of course, I'm always happy to have new players! Everyone has to be a newbie at some point, right? Please feel free to submit a character and I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
yay :D (Back from school)
I think I did the ability scores in the sheet, but I might be naive
Name: Bonas Adras
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Rogue
Background: Criminal/Spy
Backstory: They were always told they had potential, and they wanted to test that theory out. Too bad that most people she met with just swiftly ignored her for the safety of both parties. Until now!
(Haha I was getting my own rogue character info together and didn't see the above post. I'd still like to submit. Perhaps the two rogues are a team. Could be Quin hopes this act will clear his record and allow him to come home.)
So Quin gained his articifer feat by hanging around the Roadhouse kitchen where his mother worked. The cook would shoo him away with snaps of an apron string, cleaning cloth or by throwing anything close at hand. In addition to targeting Quin, as you can imagine rats were a problem, but the cook used the same solution. Only this time he would do it in away the rats didn't usually survive. The cook would use his large cooking spoon like a a hand held catapult. He would scoup up and send a large walnut, grape, berry or even small stones hurtling across the room to strike a Furry pest. Quin was amazed at the skill. He watched the cook closely and learned how to snap cordage the same as the cook with his apron strings and rags and to hit targets with small stones. What Quin didn't know was that the cook was an alchemist articifer and by studying the cooks moves so closely and copying them so completely he was essentially taking lessons on how to cast the magic stone and Catapult spells. As he improved, He would snag food from the tavern cook by using his sling, which he had modified. In addition to the typical finger loop, pouch, pinch tab, he had lengthened the retention cord on the loop side and weighted the pitch tab. By twirling the weighted pinch tab in fast tight circles then releasing at a precise moment he could cause the sling to dart out in a long line and wrap itself about an object. A hard tug on the extended trailing finger loop retention cord, which incidentally had been meticulously coiled about his arm in a way to keep it from tangling, would send the captured object flying. The intricacy of the coiled retention cord takes at least a long rest to reset and is the only way to insure a successful throw. The sling itself can still be used since the extended line is on the side that remains held.
lol.. all these rogues! And, first entry was a fairy!!! I have been wanting to slip in a pixie healer or frosty bad boy sprite for a long time now. *sighs*
But then, I thought... this is a detective-noir adventure (in my mind at least), who better for 'detecting' than The Shadow! But, my brain being my brain, it immediately responded with Darkwing Duck. *facepalm*
At least Darkwing fits the type -- trenchcoat, fedora, a shady past, and perhaps even an internal monologue...who specializes in investigation, tracking down suspects, interrogation, and navigating the places where both criminals & law enforcement can't. I am surprised my brain didn't toss out Inspector Clouseau right away... (darn you Pink Panther!)
I mean, rogue makes tons of sense. Inquisitive Rogue -- they are, after all, the subclass modeled after characters such as Sherlock Holmes, specializing in sniffing out lies & illusions. Add to that the standard Rogue chassis of "Reliable Talent" and "Cunning Action", and you have a skillful character who's good at catching liars. But, let's face it -- we aren't all Sherlockian. Many of us are more Sam Spade -- iffy at reading people, getting fooled by pretty faces, scheming businessmen, shifty politicians, and pretty much anybody who wants to use the investigator as a cheap tool or a scapegoat. While pretty good (proficiency) in "Investigation", great at picking up on clues or incongruities but, not be much of a people-person.
Thinking on it, I figure a private investigator is just someone who is able to survive an urban setting, take a beating, and have just enough grit to get the answers they wish. So, taking a twist from 'the norm'... how about --> Knowledge Cleric?
Manual roll on the DDB character sheet --> 15 12 17 12 16 15 (best darn rolls I have ever had in the DDB rollers!!!)
Originally recruited by the City Watch, Octavius was a valued asset while serving with the Watch. During one of his investigations, he was drawn in to a conversation with a cleric from the local monastery. Intrigued, Octavius soon left the Watch and took training and oaths at the "Knowledge College" as he referred to it. His skills -- those which he used to great effect as an Investigator for the City Watch -- now sharpened and honed to a fine edge - able to cut through the fog of disinformation, distraction, and prevarication to get to the heart of the matter. Of course, it did not hurt being a changeling - being able to modify his form to better inflitrate a crowd, room, bar and pick up the best rumors that might gain new leads.

Street Urchin that learned to fend for himself. Was at a very low point when a wandering monk took pity on him. Food, clothing and shelter -- and the training began. The wandering monk continued to wander and Sham followed for a number of years. Now, Sham haunts the streets of island kingdom of Selura -- cleaning up the place one bar fight at a time.
