With a sniff, Karin smiles. "Aw shucks now, sugar. Glad to hear it."The blonde waitress goes off and leaves with a swish of her hips. It ain't long before she goes on and returns with three heaping helpings full of lamb stew. She sets in down in front of you. It's by far one of the best meals you've had since you've been out on the road or maybe it's because you're just hungry. The bread is warm and fluffy like a good focaccia should. It is smeared on with spreads of tomato jam and thyme.

Sanimar though hungry knows her table manners and savors the first spoonful of lamb stew. A warm meal does so much for the soul. Then she eats the stew and fluffy bread with gusto using the bread to mop up any leftover stew until her bowl is completely empty with not even a speck of stew.
Aster assumes a thinking man position before standing up and responding.
"I truly appreciate all the information. I'll be heading off now, but if there's anything this church needs, let me know. I'll be staying at the Bark and Buzzard for the time being. Take care, yeah?"

You are all back at the Bark and Buzzard. Sarűmir ate his food like a beast. Karin's eyes go wide open and just gives him another helping full. "On the... house."
She leans across the counter, "Heard you lot were the ones that helped brought back Old Rattlecan. Thanks for that."She snickers, "Those kids sure did talk about that dwarf that showed them down. Hah, guess that wasn't anyone but you. Here."She hands you all another round of Ember Ale.

As the sun begins to set, your team sets out for Hendrix Farms based on the brochure that Twinklebossum got from that missionary of the local faith. Following the path out the village, you end up only a distance away from where you guys drove in. Perhaps because of all the dilapidated houses and dead trees that lingered along the path to the village, you all had missed it.
The fallow fields are devoid of crops. Literally just dead grass and loose dried soil. What fills it up is small campfires set ups and tents for the passing pilgrims. The large wooden barn and nearby farmhouse are kept in good repair. There is a light hum in the air.
Red soaked horizon casts long shadows on the old barn and the tents in front of it. You hear murmurs even this far away of voices in the barn. Only one campfire is lit now and it is a small family of five. Two twins stick their hands in the dirt and draw sticks. The young human couple sitting around the fire are tending to a young child (about 5) who coughs and squirms in her mother's grasp. She is sweating and her skin is a sickly palish green. A tall lanky man stands beside them uttering a prayer. His shaggy brown hair obscures most of his face and so does his beard. Brown ragged robes sway little across the dirt floor. He closes his eyes.
"It is alright. Things will be alright."He seems to say to them as he holds their hands in prayer.

Good evening to you, our apologies for the intrusion. We're looking for...stops midsentance as the child coughs again...your child sounds sick, may I have a look? medicine roll 17 to diagnose the child, the laying on of hands can cure disease and neutralize poison, if that would help then then I do it.
The family take to it by closing their eyes as well, but then they hear your footfalls approaching and open them. The twins (a boy and a girl) gasp as they first lock eyes with the wolf-man and then turn and look and point at the fairy. They both rush up to go and try to capture your little pixies that flutter about you. They giggle and grab at them playfully (albeit a bit more roughly). Their curly brown hair bounce as your pixies skitter skatter across their hair and around their arms as they (playfully) try to avoid them. Though some land on the kid's arms for a second and leave just seconds away from being (accidentally) swatted.
"With the light of the flame we bless you- Hmm?" The lanky man stops in mid-sentence as he gets accidentally headbutted by one of the twins who followed a pixie a bit too far. He turns his attention to you all and then at Lara, "Oh! Why hello there."He smiles with a warm demeanor. He clasps his hands together. "No. No. No. No problem at all."He shakes his head. His eyes land on Lara's paladin armor. Something about Reed's blessing on you has made you shine a bit brighter. Almost as if you had an aura. At least to him at least. He realizes what you're about to do. "Yes, of course."The couple hesitates. The mother first grips the child closer, but then turns to look at the robed man. The father strokes the young girl's hair. It brushes away the curled locks from her face. You see now that the kid's eyes are milky white. Pupils there now clouded with faint bluish cataracts. The kid suddenly starts crying. "Bella!"The father wipes tears from her eyes as the mother tries to soothe her. They look over to Lara.
You know what to do.
Laying your hands on the sick girl you feel that same burdensome energy. It's the contamination. "The fine particulate dust seems to have been spreading."The tall man murmurs, "Some people just don't know what to do with delirium. Look with what it has done to this family."They watch their daughter in your hands with uncertainty. Try as you might you can't take out the poison.
He puts his hand on you. "This child may not be here for much longer."He hands you a vial of liquid. Holy water. The symbol of the Flame (a goblet of fire) is still on it though faded. The paint looks about just ready to peel. "We need to put this on her first."
Sarűmir steps away from the children, seemingly not wanting to be climbed on or having his fur pulled. The slightest smile escapes his wolfish lips, however.

Sanimar grimly nods at Twinkleblossom's words. She kneels down to meet the parents at eye level "I know these are troubling times, but I hope to learn more about the contamination. Can you tell me what your child's first symptoms were and how long did it take for her to become so ill. I would also like to ask why she has been contaminated while the rest of the family seem to have no contamination. Was she playing too close to Drakkenheim?" Looking to the lanky tall man Sanimar says "I plan to craft an antitoxin to see if there is any effect. It may not do anything, but it may help a bit"
(As this counts as a rest Sanimar will break out her alchemist supplies and spend the time crafting a vial of Antitoxin)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Twinkleblossum will lead the other kids a short distance away from where the healing of the sick child is being attempted. She will do so by casting Mage Hand which results in several of the playful pixies linking limbs and contorting into the roughly vague shape of a hand. And then she will have it pick up a stick or small pebble and toss it up in a high, short arc that is easy enough to move a few feet and catch it again.
"Come children and let me show you a game we can play while the grown-ups talk."
By putting her attention into entertaining the children hopefully Twinkleblossum can keep them busy for a short time and out of everyone's way.

The children laugh and jump up and down to try and capture the pixies. "Whoa!"The little boy gasps. His eyes go wide at the shapes the pixies are making. The twin girl is just as awe-struck. "Are you making them do that?" "Can I try?" "No me!" "No! Me!" "Me! Me! Me! Me!" They just as quickly give up their argument when Twinkleblossum throws a stick in the air and their attention glues on that. Begrudgingly, when told they have to move away from the grown-ups talking, they purse their lips a little but follow anyways. Their eyes catch the sight of the wolf-man again as they walk. One kid just says "Fuzzy."
Soon enough they sit on the dusty dry dirt ground and wait for Twinkleblossum's show. "Do you think Bella will be okay?"
@Sanimar
The parents hold their breath in when Lara, Aster, and the man start apply the holy water. The mom's hands are wringing as she addresses you. She inhales sharply. Her hands go steady but the tears in her eyes say otherwise. "Just a few days... ago." Her eyes flicker over to the trio healing her daughter. "We... we only live just a few hundred miles out the village east."
"Kesselholm." The father nods. "Across the Drann."
"Yes. Around there. Just on the outskirts. We- we didn't know. We didn't. She was just- just playing by the river." She sniffles, "I had left her over at my sister's. I didn't know. Her husband- her husband was into selling delirium. Just 'once or twice'. They said. Hah! No?! He liked-"She stares at her hands, "Building these things. Crafting. Delirium. They said. Looked so beautiful in the moonlight. He's a jeweler. I thought they would be safe with her. My sister has the money. But no!" She wails, "Nooo!"The woman's breath goes into heaves as she doubles over in her arms. Tears go streaming down her face. "I really-"Her husband rubs her back as she regains composure.
"They said. They said. He must've dumped some of the dust into the streams! I- I was 'HUH?' They said only 'once or twice'. 'Once or twice he made those.' Once or twice and my daughter's deadddd!"The tall man's eyes cast down solemnly upon her. He makes some sort of move to reassure her but stays focused on the treatment. The father stands up. "Chaplain Flint she isn't dead is she?"
"No, sir, not dead!" The tall man, Flint, blinks as he backs up a bit startled, "I am sorry. This is almost done. She will be alright. I promise. We just need to purge this contamination from her. It will be fast." He rubs his neck, "Though she will be completely exhausted at the end of it. It is best she not run around for a few days." He turns to go look at the couple.
"The Flame is with us on this one. The Candle glows bright upon this girl. Hope shall not flicker out."He lets go of their hands to go back to his work. The girl is by now drenched in holy water.
@Lara and Aster
The chaplain watches as you apply the holy water on the girl. He follows you two along in prayer.
"Of the Flame that lights this universe. Of the wicks that bind us together. In the truth we hold by name. May the smallest flicker still burn bright to light the way."
Flint closes his eyes and puts his hand on his chest. The girl starts to fuss and gets a bit restless. You can see now that her tongue has begun rotting away. Her attempts to speak are halted and only come out in just babbles. "Sssh now."He coos and brushes her hair out the way. She whimpers. "It's okay. It's okay."
An aura forms around his hand. It glows purple against the light of the campfire. He presses his hand against her forehead and the child wails. Her body turns to glow.
"May the Flame eradicate this sickness. Let it leave her body now!"
In an instant her color fades back to normal. No longer sickly green but brownish tan. Her eyes blink. Normal. Dark brown pupils.
"Ma? Pa?"
The parents are overjoyed.
They jump up and grab Flint, squeezing the life nearly out of him. Then they go out to hug each and everyone of you (well, really just Lara, Aster, and Sanimar. They really don't know what to make of a fairy and a wolf-guy so they don't even try).
"Thank you! Thank you all so much!" The father goes over to Flint. "How can we ever repay you." The chaplain shakes his head. "There is no need. Everything is just the way it need be." The man looks a bit stumped by the cryptic words but is still jubilant nonetheless. "My girl!" He goes up and picks up his daughter and raise her to the sky. The girl giggles and laughs despite the tiredness across her face and is soon joined in by her siblings who hug at the dad's legs. She starts to yawn as the father puts her down.
@Sanimar
After the ritual is over and you hand him the vial, Flint says. "That is so kind of you. No, you're right, it will help them. Purging... contamination does takes a lot out of them. Thank you."He leads you over to the parents who are now just resting with their child by the campfire. The mother looks up as they see you, "Thank you."Her eyes move over to Flint. "Yes, it will help heal your daughter after all she's been through. You should give her some now and let her get some rest."
The girl seems to agree with that statement as her eyes close as her mother pats her. "Okay."She whispers, "Thank you so much. You have done so much."
Sanimar is relieved to see the young girl recover, and hugs back the family. Mentally she takes note of the effects of holy water and the spell. She turns to her companions "Once we earn more coin we should stock up on holy water." She then looks to Aster "Do you happen to have the same spell as Chaplain Flint here?"
Even though she wasn't putting on an award winning show Twinkleblossum was happy enough that she kept the children's attention focused on her and the playful pixies while those with healing powers tried to help the little girl.
After seeing their efforts meet with some measure of success she addresses the children, "It looks like Bella may be ok after all, you can go on back now but Bella might be a little tired for a while so let her get some rest if she needs it."
Hovering over to Sanimar, "Does this mean you've found a cure or treatment for those who get sick from delirium contamination?"

They said. Hah! No?! He liked-" She stares at her hands, "Building these things. Crafting. Delirium. They said. Looked so beautiful in the moonlight. He's a jeweler. I thought they would be safe with her. My sister has the money. But no!" She wails, "Nooo!" The woman's breath goes into heaves as she doubles over in her arms. Tears go streaming down her face. "I really-" Her husband rubs her back as she regains composure.
"They said. They said. He must've dumped some of the dust into the streams! I- I was 'HUH?' They said only 'once or twice'. 'Once or twice he made those.' Once or twice and my daughter's deadddd!" The tall man's eyes cast down solemnly upon her.
Hope shall not flicker out." He lets go of their hands to go back to his work. The girl is by now drenched in holy water.
@Lara and Aster
"Sssh now." He coos and brushes her hair out the way.
@Sanimar
After the ritual is over and you hand him the vial, Flint says. "That is so kind of you. No, you're right, it will help them. Purging... contamination does takes a lot out of them. Thank you." He leads you over to the parents who are now just resting with their child by the campfire. The mother looks up as they see you, "Thank you." Her eyes move over to Flint. "Yes, it will help heal your daughter after all she's been through. You should give her some now and let her get some rest."
The girl seems to agree with that statement as her eyes close as her mother pats her. "Okay." She whispers, "Thank you so much.
