Sounds like a sound plan. Fah'lin sprinkles the bodies with Holy Water before looking over their equipment and purses, then tosses them out in the rain.
"You'll be fine. My buddy Chercheur said the weakening effect wouldn't last through the night."

The bodies have nothing of interest. You have a restful day as the storm rages outside. No more undead wander by to interrupt your rest.
Early the next morning the storm has finished, the sun is rising and the sucked out life force has returned. Across the valley you can see your destination, a cave mouth on the side of the mountain.
Before departing Fah'lin checks the cave for anything of worth. He takes a deep breath as he looks across the valley. "Ready to save the world?"
(Is 'our destination' Dead Gnoll's Eye-socket? Or PopN'Locks Lair, viewed from the eye-socket?)
Your current cave is Dead Gnoll’s Eye-socket, the opening you can see on the mountain is the entry to the vampire’s lair.
You make the trek across to the cave mouth and Arya does a quick scout down the passage doing her normal sneak 18. She returns and reports. “The passage splits three ways, each of which is blocked by an invisible wall. On the ground in front of each opening is some writing.
Passage 1
”Of no use to one Yet absolute bliss to two. The small boy gets it for nothing. The young man has to lie for it. The old man has to buy it.“
Passage 2
”I have rivers without water, Forests without trees, Mountains without rocks Towns without houses.“
Passage 3
”I begin eternity, And end space, At the end of time, And in every place, Last in life, Second to death, Never alone, Found in your breath, Contained by earth, Water or flame, My grandeur so awesome, Wind dare not tame, Not in your mind, Am in your dreams, Vacant to Kings, Present to Queens.“
Also engraved in the floor before you come the the entrances is written
”Every time you speak false a greater guardian will appear to punish those who do not deserved entry.”
DM: I will trust your honesty here. Every answer you get right without using the magic Google spell each of you will get Inspiration.
Fah'lin checks his shield and spins his weapon, ready for any great guardian that would appear if his allies speak false.
('Map' is probably right, but of course a map no more has rivers than it does have water. But if we face one guardian for that we can revisit the riddle.)
Thar having pondered the riddles says "I agrees with 'love', 'a map and 'the letter e'. If we are to face a foe for a wrong answer we should first go with the passage where we are least confident in the answer whilst we are best prepared. For me that would be passage 1."
(You can cast spells. Your speed is reduced to 0. You can attempt to escape. Or use a spell that does knock back.)
(I shoulda used Thunderous Smite in hind sight.)

Gijigume's attack was enough to kill the vampire spawn. The bodies most probably where caravan guards in their previous lives.
Igneous has a current hit points of 14 and a maximum hit points of 24 until he takes a long rest
Aeliarin has a current hit points of 15 and a maximum hit points of 29 until he takes a long rest

Aeliarin writes on a piece of paper:
"#3 is the letter e. And #2 is a map or atlas, I think."
See DM edit above
Fah'lin writes, 'a woman's breast?' and underlines the letter e nodding.
Thinking a moment longer he writes, 'Love?'

Gijigume nods at Fah'lin's writing.

So which passage are you trying first?
Thar having pondered the riddles says "I agrees with 'love', 'a map and 'the letter e'. If we are to face a foe for a wrong answer we should first go with the passage where we are least confident in the answer whilst we are best prepared. For me that would be passage 1."
One vote for passage 1, the rest of you?
(Love first always, I presumed Thar speaking wasn't open for a vote.)
