"So" ponders Thar, " Do we wait for some giants to come through, kill them and then go through ourselves and take their gate? Or do we try to sneak through and just take it. That sound easier than I think it would be for we do not know what is on the other side though one would hope they would be unprepared for an attack through the gate. As much as I would like to have two gates I favour the first option though we would have to ensure no giant can get back through the gate to sound a warning."

Arya "We have to kill whatever comes through immediately (in one round) or they can just step back to their side and either we suddenly get 30 giants or they disconnect."
"While I don't doubt the swiftness of our action, it seems risky." Fah'lin says, "We can prevent their arrival by standing in the gate, and yet move through ourselves immediately, assuming they don't do the same... Apparently."
"We're prepared to act either way, and we're likely to succeed whatever course we choose. So I'll defer to Thar's Intelect."
On the night of the full moon Fah'lin helps set up the chain in the prepared space, and stands ready to strike, or infiltrate, whichever course is chosen.
Fah'lin peaks his head through the still Giant-sized speakeasy on the door then closes it again. In all his travels he's never seen a monster like this one. He waves the others over to have a look.
Arya stares open mouthed “Tell me your name is Donatello. This is so cool.” She starts shouting for the staff “Get the cooks to start making pizza... we have visitors!”
"Greetings, I am not a giant in disguise, though i know not how I would prove that.'
He pauses, a little uncomfortably.
"As for how I heard about you, i was sent this way by my patron, a celestial being, though i may not say her name. I knew not what I would find, only that that someone here needed assistance."
Fah'lin opens the big door and sniffs the air outside with Divine senses, ensuring Otak isn't a fiend or undead, and revealing if he's actually a celestial. "I suppose we'd best let you in, and find you someone in need of assistance then." He says.
... He wears Plate armor with Rare fine details. He carries a Shield that would certainly be dented and chipped for all the hits its taken, if not for the magic infused into it by Thar while they were at the Forge of Souls. It bears the symbol of Helm, The Watcher. In the other hand he carries a pole for a weapon. The Quarterstaff was a good solid, and sturdy piece even before it got the same treatment as his shield.
He's a young tall man, in his mid-twenties with dark hair and Blue eyes. His armor fits him well revealing his light weight. A man with his light build would normally struggle to wear such armor. Though he is not weak he doesn't have the bulk common in heavily armored warriors. ...
Thar, reading a book in hand for no alarm had sounded, wanders out to see what all the excitement is about. "Welcome Otak, I am Thar." And with a slightly aloof tone "A nameless patron, how intriguing. Anyway your assistance is welcomed, though what is it you do?" Before Otak can answer Thar turns away "so I guess we should continue our preparations for the arrival of some giants."
"Giants? Well i can see why i was sent here. What kind of giants and which direction are you expecting them to come from?"
"As for what I do, my patron provides me with magic. Mostly I blast stuff, pushing and slowing my enemies, i also have some healing."
Otak follows the others in and investigates the building, taking time to settle in.
In the time before the giants arrive he stores Banishment in his ring of spell storing and practices his ritual casting. Including repeated castings of Telepathic Bond, hoping to have it up when they arrive.
Also, if there is a long or short rest before they arrive then everyone gets 9 temp hit points from my Celestial Resistance feature.

Well if we wait for someone to come through Arya will be hiding 25
When the full moon comes around, Aeliarin is also ready to strike.
Until then, he keeps using his wand on birds, animals, etc. to keep it happy.
Thar will take up a position so that hopefully he can not be seen by the giants as the first emerge from the gate.
As these preparations are taking place, a Tortle walks up to the outside of the building and calls out.
"Hello there, I hear you could use a hand."

"I am sorry, I cannot, for my name is Otak. I know not this Donatello, nor this Pete Zah."
Otak speaks gently, not wishing to offend these potential new friends.
"What's brought you to Harenhal, our mountain retreat?" Fah'lin asks.

Arya “That okay. I just get excited at times and my mouth runs away with me. How did you hear about us.”
"Greetings," Gijigume (an elf) says to Otak, "are you a giant in disguise?"

Now, unless someone else appears to interrupt (hint), some giants need killing.

"Well met, tortoise-man. I am Aeliarin and I come from far, far away." Aeliarin bows to the new arrival.
