The door cracks open and you see the elf woman peek out. She then opens the door wider and smiles. "You're one of the adventurers helping Sildar. I am Sister Garaele, member of the Harpers and acolyte of the Goddess of Luck. How can I help you?"
Kristofferson smiles back. "Yes, I'm Kristofferson Silverfox of the Quote Unquote Fantastic. We're helping Sir Hallwinter bring peace and prosperity back to Phandalin. I couldn't help but notice your conversation with Sir Hallwinter earlier and was merely curious about the shrine. Are you its caretaker?"
Garaele: "Yes, I am its caretaker. I even built it, which explains why it is so small and modest, I'm not much of a craftsman." She laughs at herself. "Are you a follower of Tymora? Would you like to pray together?"
K: "No, I am not a devotee of any god; I am a monk; I focus on the natural forces that flow through all living things. Is Sir Hallwinter a devotee of Tymora? Was he praying with you earlier? I only ask to know my patron better, but if I'm praying you can tell me."
Garaele laughs again, a soft lilting giggle that matches her sweet voice. "No, he has not spent much time at this shrine. We were discussing another matter of import to me, that of a missing spellbook. While my primary mission is to spread the love of Tymora to Phandalin and beyond, I am also after information about Bowgentle's missing spellbook for the Harpers. With the Redbrand threat at bay and the goblin robberies of the Trail ceased, Sir Hallwinter has finally agreed to help me. So I suppose, in a roundabout way, I have you and your group to thank for that."
K: "I see. Well, once we've secured the mine for Phandalin, if we can be of any further service to you, please do reach out. Thank you for your time, Sister."
Kristofferson takes a walk into nearby woods, just deep enough to feel alone, and meditates for an hour. He then heads back to the Inn to sit with Badger.
Kristofferson: Sister Garaele thanks you with a smile and softly closes the door.
Ash: You find the balding human proprietor, Elmar Barthen, behind the shop counter as usual. He greets you with a casual grin. "I've lost no gold to those brutes since you've come to town; we all have a debt to pay you. My many thanks to you and your band. What can I help you with today, young lad?"
Ash's eyes go wide, unable to hide his excitement. "And these?" He lays out his gems, pearl, frog statuette, and silk pouch. He also shows him Badger's spell scrolls.
Elmar: "The spell scrolls I don't have much of a market for, though they are valuable. I suggest you find someone who could use them to get the most value. The rest I can probably do for another 150 gold."
Ash takes back the scrolls and says, "So for the lot, 350 gold... and this?" He casts mage hand to grab a random cheap trinket off the nearest shelf. (Trinket table: 67: a gold monocle frame without the lens)
Ash: You find two young human males many cups deep in late morning drink. They don't even notice you enter. The barkeep is a surely&looking dwarven woman who looks like there isn't a soul on the planet she likes. She only watches you enter without greeting you.
Ash simply leaves and heads back to the Stonehill. At dinner, he'll buy a round when they seem at their busiest. He also returns the spell scrolls to Badger, gives K 50 gold and Badger 250, keeping 50 for himself.
Badger: You find the Stonehill Inn tavern relatively empty at late morning. Only Elsa tends the bar where Narth, the old farmer, still sits, into his third ale of the morning. Elsa greets you with a warm smile and fills you a wine without you ordering one. "On the house. Miss Trilena has had the best of moods since whatever of the Redbrands were left skipped town. And I overheard Mr. Toblen say that supplies have been less expensive without what he was calling the Trail Bandit Tax, so he's been more friendly lately, too."
Badger thanks her. He welcomes conversation from patrons as they filter in for dinner, but otherwise keeps to himself. He thanks Ash for taking care of selling their treasures. He makes a quick trip to Lionshield Coster to pay Linene Greywind to send another 100 gold back to Bramble with a note vaguely describing the dangers they've faced and the people they've helped. Mid-evening, before any heavy drinking could start, he retires to bed.

Ash presents the gold items from the castle temple. "We're happy to help. Are these worth anything to you?"
Elmar picks up the chalice and looks it over. "Fine craftsmanship. I could sell these to a dealer up in Neverwinter. 200 gold for the trio."
Ash's eyes go wide, unable to hide his excitement. "And these?" He lays out his gems, pearl, frog statuette, and silk pouch. He also shows him Badger's spell scrolls.

Elmar chuckles. "Deal." He pays you the gold and takes the items.
Ash lingers a moment. "Say, where is the best place to find a game of dice in this area?"
Elmar shrugs. "Not much of a social scene, Phandy. You might find a game in the evening over an ale at one of the taverns."
Ash nods and thanks him. He heads to the Sleeping Giant. Are there any patrons or especially any gambling happening at the tavern?
