Badger: "My lady, Mrs. Badger will forgive me for sharing a truth that you are the most beautiful creature on whom I've laid my eyes. You are the renowned Agatha?"
K looks at Badger with an eyebrow cocked. He gestures to Hallwinter. "My lady, is that gentleman okay?"
Ash: "Can we help with anything? We are the Quote Unquote Fantastic and are at your service."
Kristofferson's eyes go wide as he looks at Ash. Can he tell they are charmed?
Kristofferson: No, but you can tell through their actions that something is amiss.
Agatha: "Yes, I am Agatha the Beautiful, Queen of the Woods. That man is none of your concern. He is already helping me quite nicely so I have no need of you at the moment. Be on your way."
K: Before you fall in love with this beautiful ghostly elf woman in front of you, you notice a thin blue line branching from the glow around Sildar and seemingly feeding in to the glow around Agatha. Sildar also looks older and weaker than you remember.
Agatha considers. "This man will serve me fine for a time, but you are right. Like a candle, he will eventually burn down and be extinguished. Then, you three can help, in turn. But what to do with you in the meantime... it has been a long time since I've had so many suitors at once."
Note: While you are Charmed by Agatha and are in love with her, you want desperately to please her. However, part of you also knows you are friends with (love rival) Sildar and should try to get him out of here safely. You also want the others in your party (love rivals but also friends) to safely leave.
Badger: "As much as it would please me to serve you however briefly, perhaps there is way I can more permanently serve you? Is there any way you can get what you need from that gentleman without extinguishing him or us, my beautiful Queen of the Woods?"
This offer intrigues Agatha. "There is a magic item that will suitably replace this... method. It is the Water Crystal of Energy, but it has been lost for thirty years. Any mortal in search of it has disappeared. Perhaps you, my favorite little party of three, could succeed where others failed? Though, should you come back without it, I would of course entrap one of you and extinguish this one," she gestures to Hallwinter, "regardless of how much wick he has, just to make a point. Are we clear?"
Agatha smiles broadly, a surge of love and lust flowing through Kristofferson, a look of greed and desire in her eyes. She reveals a path marked by magic that leads deeper into the Quivering Thickets, the fey region of the Neverwinter Wood. She explains that they must follow the path to a lost village called Valley of the Hills. Hidden there is the magic crystal. Go, fetch the crystal, return, and you can leave with your friend and the true answer to any one question you want to ask.
She gestures to the path, and K, being Charmed, leads the way. Before you realize what has happened, you find yourselves traveling through thick woods guided by magic motes of dust that illuminate as you approach and disappear as you pass. You have no choice but to follow or risk getting lost in the deep Quivering Thickets.
Ash follows Kristofferson close and waits for him to become uncharmed. "That was uncomfortable. You were right, Badger. The dangers here are very much unlike monsters who try to bite you. She was messing with our minds!"
Kristofferson nods, too embarrassed to respond.
Badger just keeps walking. "Let's just pretend that didn't happen. We should find this cursed crystal, save Sir Hallwinter, and get back to reality."
Kristofferson nods again and continues following the magic motes of light.
The woods eventually seem to thin and you see the magic motes of light continue through a barely visible wall of force energy. You see no clear way to pass the wall. It seems to extend a long way in both directions.
K: you quickly find that it extends below ground and that digging under it is an unlikely way past the wall.
Ash: You don't notice much, but when you start to head back, you notice that the wall has a subtle bend to it, as though it is a massive circle around the village.

Badger kneels. "Please, My lady. Let us serve you. We have saved that man before and so are greater servants than he."
Ash, not to be outdone, also kneels. He pulls out he dagger and holds it out to her as if an offering.
K watches this in horror. "How is the gentleman helping you?"
At Badger's insistence, Agatha smiles, sending a flood of love and lust through Ash and Badger.

K: Before you fall in love with this beautiful ghostly elf woman in front of you, you notice a thin blue line branching from the glow around Sildar and seemingly feeding in to the glow around Agatha. Sildar also looks older and weaker than you remember.
All three of you are Charmed.
Kristofferson takes a knee. "Oh Beautiful One, how may we serve you? We can surely please you better than that old man."
Agatha considers. "This man will serve me fine for a time, but you are right. Like a candle, he will eventually burn down and be extinguished. Then, you three can help, in turn. But what to do with you in the meantime... it has been a long time since I've had so many suitors at once."

Badger and Ash: You are no longer Charmed.
K: you are still Charmed.
Badger slowly stands. "Queen of the Woods, we will go find your magic item, and in exchange, you will release our friend there unharmed."
Ash also stands and sheathes his dagger. "And us."
Badger: "And us, yes. Tell us, how may we find this Water Crystal of Energy?"
Agatha smiles broadly, a surge of love and lust flowing through Kristofferson, a look of greed and desire in her eyes. Kristofferson starts digging a bit near the wall to see if it extends into the ground or if they could dig under it. Athletics: 15
Badger: there is no way through.
