The Wizard's Challenge

Croak, you get to the tavern shortly after Boabby, and he goes right for the drink; plopping down at a nearby table.  The other bartender ignores him and keeps trying to look like he's working.

Kizori, you follow Klandar back into the his blacksmith shop.  He takes over for his apprentice, and she moves over to a secondary anvil at a smaller forge.  The boy is eating something while leaning on a stool in the corner.

He sees you enter and asks; "What can I do for you big guy?"

Urselles not really interested in looking through arcana heads to the church to see if Normand needs help

As the gathered mages peer into the book, you quickly begin working, deciphering the code chunk by chunk; even getting entire sections translated, covering ingredients, ritual steps, undead animals, etc.  

It is going smoothly until things start getting weird.  The words start moving faster, making it harder for Isa to follow, the words that were still, begin to move, and words that were clear, shift and change, becoming unclear.

Urselles, you find Normand and Lura starting to set up for the evening mass.  They greet you as you enter.

"Master Dar, is it safe to continue?"

Nathan Arcana: 18

"Im going to cut lumber, and start rebuilding the broken part of town. I need a good axe, and some other tools, can you help me out?

“Hello Normand, do you need help with anything” 

"I'm unsure." Dar replies to Nathan.  You can feel magic in the air, this book is up to something.  Arcs of black magic curve over the book as you work, the table begins to tremble a bit.

"I see, coming to the source and skipping the shop.  Ensures quality; I like how you think.  Sure, I could build all that in a day or two." Klandar replies to Kizori.

Normand replies; "Sure, we could use some help setting up.  I'm sure the people of Old Northbank would also like to hear you say some things as well, if you'd like."

"How much will it cost?" Kizori removes his gold purse, and opens it in anticipation of paying Klandar.

"I'm assuming your looking for gear that'll last.  Normally I'd say 3 gold, but after that bit with the dragon; I'm more inclined to ask what you got planned for it?" Klandar says, a look of interest on his face.

"There are houses in need of repair. I'll start there." Kizori smiles his goofy smile.

Klandar nods; "Thought it'd be something like that." He says with a smile.  "I'll have it for you tomorrow evening.  No charge."
