Nathan tells Dar and the others what he has found out. If Dar feels up to it, he specifically asks him to look at the part about Shalech and about the Spectral Wizards, and asks him his opinion.
Looking over the information about Shalech, Dar replies; "Quite the ritual. It says here you were an Aasimar, though a young one. Do you remember your time before you were captured?" Dar asks out of curiosity.
"Looks like they removed your divine powers and replaced them with something corrupt and dark. Surrisk's notes mention that you were moved for observation after Kyristan tired of having you tested and experimented on." He pauses a moment to look at Shalech. "I'm sorry, this is some horrible stuff. I wish I had found you ten years ago; maybe if I was able to break the code then." He shakes his head.
"I don't even know how to start reversing this; I'm sorry." He adds before addressing the second question. "Looks like the Spectral Wizard is only mentioned in Surrisk's journal, so it must be a newer development. Either way, its pretty likely that Surrisk is the one going around claiming to be the Ghost Prince; with Kyristan as his..." Dar shivers. "Lich King."
Isa spits in disgust at Dar's words, but doesn't rebuke them. Eliath looks nervous; knowing she doesn't have the power to deal with a Lich.
As the church patrons begin to arrive from Old Northbank, you are surprised to see members of the last service arrive as well. More than that, they appear to be asking the people of Old Northbank how they can help them.
Shalech, looking uncomfortable, responds, "Yes, I remember my time before Kyristan. I did all that the dreams pushed me to do. Yet when I was a prisoner and tortured, they couldn't do anything for me. Now I just want to live my own life, make my own choices. If this darkness does not have any hold on me, then I will keep it buried and it won't harm anyone else."
"None of the notes showed evidence of the darkness having control; likely why they put you on observation." Dar shakes his head.
"So, this confirms my suspicions. We believe that the apprentice, likely Surrisk, is staying in the old wizards guild tower; and was using the dragon to ward people away." He starts moving towards the stairs. He pauses and turns towards Nathan. "I was planning to teach you a spell this evening; but with our magic spent; I'll have to give you a scroll instead." He then heads down the stairs.
"I don't blame you" Croak messes up the girls hair. "Nathan seems more enjoyable but his knowledge is nowhere near Dar's. Come, we can take you."
Croak's demeanor softens around the young girl. He breaks off a chunk bread from his rations and hands it over. "Quite a trio, us three...." he packs up his gear and takes a look outside.
(Just realized I never said that the house was empty and looks abandoned for at least a few years. Fully furnished though, a thick layer of dust everywhere.)
"I wonder if I could live in that house. Be nice to have a place to call my own. Looks like no one has lived there for years." Kizori ponders aloud as he walks.
"A lich?! That is a very powerful being..." When Dar mentions teaching Nathan a spell, he gets really excited. "Shalech, I am really sorry that you hd to go through all of this. Please tell me if there is any way I can help."
Shalech shrugs his shoulders. "No need for you to be sorry, you had no hand in it. I am free now. If you ever want to help me, then don't let me ever be captured again. Even if that means taking my life."
Dar begins walking up the stairs with a scroll and a large pouch in his hands. Under the light of the still burning torch, he lays them out. He turns to Nathan, holding the scroll open before you.
"Okay, I'll teach you how to read it's translation so that it's easier to use. Less chance of spell failure that way." He unleashes the scroll; it curling back up on itself. He grabs the deep blue soft pouch, unties the cord, and opens it's mouth incredibly wide.
He opens the pouch and you see inside a swirl of space, like matter doesn't exist there. Dar reaches his hand inside and, with a heave, pulls out a foot tall, three foot long bronze statue of a Bulette. The long stone hard shell running the length of it's massive and powerful form and rows of teeth make it look near terrifying.
"Each member of the guild was given one of these; one also lies in the guild tower, and this is how we find it." He unrolls the scroll again. "This is a scroll of locate object. If you follow the dragon's trail back to it's source, you're likely to find the tower from there if you use the scroll." He stands back, and stretches, cracking his back. "Just wish they had picked something lighter for us to use."
Shalech looks at Dar and the 'Bulette' and offers, "I know a couple people that wouldn't strain too hard to carry it. One of them even likes you." Shalech grins.
"Oh, you won't need to carry it. Nathan here has to memorize every inch of this statue until he can picture it perfectly in his mind. He needs to be able to do that when he uses the scroll or it won't be able to work." Dar says. "Was a pain in the ass when I had to do it, and I had more time." He smirks and shakes his head.
After looking at the enormous statue and realizing that he will have to remember every detail, Nathan says "Yes Master Dar, I understand why you wished it would have been something lighter and smaller... but I guess that is just the way it is! Also, as far as the spell locate object is concerned - wouldn't it be better if I copied the scroll into my spellbook? Or is there no time for that? I am just afraid that if I cast it at the wrong time and waste the scroll, there will be no second chance."

She giggles at that and follows you out.

Kizori was amazed; you've never seen a six bedroom home before.

"If you feel you can do so before morning. Otherwise I have more copies if you need to have backups. Let's worry about the statue first." Dar replies.
"Let's get on then." Croak steps outdoors and takes a look around, holding the door for the others. "Nathan should be in the tower"

The girl, who tells you her name is Varni, starts to walk through the open doorway. (Croak and Kizori make a Perception Check)
