Farin quietly exits the tavern exits the tavern and makes his way to the tower. What does he see, now that he is in front of it? Also, about what time of day is it?
Farin, as you approach the tower, you notice a lot of commotion coming from the house next door. The second floor is lit up with some form of magical light as well as appears to be a strange mournful cry coming from the same room. You can tell by the shadows that there are people moving around in there. There also appears to be a lesser light coming from downstairs and a faint sound of movement.
The tower itself is hard to see in the freshly fallen night, though you can tell that there are no windows and that is sounds like a party just ended inside.
Shalech realizes that the sound likely is coming from the pile of broken wood. Somewhere in there.
Urselles, after a quick look around you believe that there is nothing left to find on this floor and that the action is likely upstairs with the weird noise and breaking of wood. You also feel a bit alone since everyone else left.
The illusion takes off its third cloth, exposing much of its midriff.
(A request to remove Recruiting has been made, noting that the group is large enough. I'm calling for an official vote to close down recruiting or to leave it open.)
I mean, me personally I was hoping this was going to be more of an open world thing where we all kinda, did are own thing in separate groups every now and then working together but, it really depends on how we decide to do this

Shalech finds a large section of a drawer that somehow wasn't completely destroyed, until you picked it up that is. As you lift it a large carved wooden block falls to the floor. It appears to be a single piece with arcane designs on it. It is definitely making the noise.
Theodore, you can see that the block is the object radiating Abjuration magic and that it has a faint aura of about 20 feet as well.
(We are a group so I'd like you all to have a say in something this important.)
"By Mahal's beard, that's strange," Farin mutters. He had heard talk of a haunted house in the tavern, so he guesses that this must be it. His curiousity gets the best of him and he decides to investigate it; after all, it seemed like a good enough opportunity for adventure.
Farin slowly opens the door to the strange house and steps inside.
As Nathan and Shalech examine the block together they are able to decipher the arcane writings, even though they appear unique to this item. It is crudely described as a 'music box', but neither of you would describe it as either music or a box. The writings describe how it is supposed to activate whenever someone moves within 20 feet of it after night.
Croak and Urselles are discussing the illusion when a tall, well bearded, man enters through the front door. Farin, upon opening this door you see a large gray Orc coming down the stairs, a Goblin dressed in white robes, and a glowing woman dancing between the two that is more undressed than dressed.
Not fully aware of how this scene must look to the bearded man, Croak charges down the stairs, putting himself between the stranger and Urselles yelling "What is the meaning of this?!" pointing toward the illusion with one hand, sword at the ready in the other. He clearly thinks that this man is associated with the "haunted" house and a likely accomplice to the man under the couch.
Shalech walks down the stairs with the "music box" and brings it to the table near the illusion. "These two things are triggered by proximity and as far as I can tell, all they do is what you see and hear right now. The haunting may be nothing more than left over trinkets that have been triggered by burglars or, as I am inclined to believe because the footprints I found showed an attempt at stealth, I'd say someone planted these here to make the house look haunted. Which means there's something we haven't found yet. Does this house have a basement? Anyone seen a way down?"
Farin quietly exits the tavern exits the tavern and makes his way to the tower. What does he see, now that he is in front of it? Also, about what time of day is it?
Shalech will move upstairs to investigate the source of the noises he can hear from the first floor.

Nathan looks at the box to see what it is.

After destroying the furniture, Croak scrambles out of the room, pushing through Shalech in the doorway. "Agh that noise!"
Croak returns to the stairwell, "Hey Urselles take a loo-... whose your friend?" referring to the illusion.

Shalech, you remember that there are two more rooms upstairs, both open.
Shalech thinks for a second, and continues, "Or there may be something going on in the other rooms upstairs. Croak want to accompany me?"
To Shalech, "Fine! but who is HE!?"
