An animal smell seeps through the crack below the door, and through the door, Bell hears mumbling, an exclamation, a short burst of laughter, and then more indistinct talking.
Erudisia keeps firing her blasts, trusting Meredith at her back. The thunderous spells fill the corridor with a head-splitting roar with each strike, as her casting begins to grow sloppy and less controlled.
When Bell puts her ear to the door on the left, she can physically feel it vibrating and hears a distant rumbling noise like thunder or an earthquake. When she pulls back she notices dust coming off the walls at the end of the hallway she’s in. Marliza’s expression betrays concern. Little One has not yet entered the hallway, and remains outside it with one foot in the door. Yes, he could fit in if called.
Bell knows, of course, that Erudisia’s Eldritch Blast sometimes comes with a clap of thunder. But this continuous rolling or quaking is unfamiliar.

Bell will 'follow the noise' ... assuming it is Meredith and Erudisia sending a 'sign'. She will let Marliza know what she is doing and why.... and signal her to still be quiet so they can surprise anyone they come upon.
Open the left door. Look, listen and feel where those blasts are coming from.
Meredith giggled, " Sorry, we got a bit carried away. A few too many cocktails perhaps."
" Quentin Togglepocket? OMG!! Is that you? Talulah Lavish, we met in Neverwinter......oh, goodness was that two years ago....more I think. This brain of mine i swear it would wander off if I wasn't careful."

She will move forward, using the air movement and sound to guide her toward her friends; quickening her pace as she fears her friends are under attack.

" Impenetrable? Really? Resistant, certainly. Robust, without a doubt........but its looking more than a little Penetrable at the moment."
" Now! Just for my own information.......how much minimum do you need remaining in the Vault in order to cover wages and insurance premiums......oh, and any Tithes? Because we intend leaving you out of pocket but not bereft........and certainly not unable to pay your debts to any patrons or benefactors."
" Would you care to emerge into view? I can assure you we pose no........permanent.....bodily danger to yourself or your representatives."
Meredith’s speaking is interrupted by Erudisia’s crashing spell work just as Quentin’s was, with the result that she cannot really know whether or not her meaning was clear. A minute passes as Erudisia’s repeating arcane charges continue to explode. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Suddenly, two of the tiefling guards, shouting incoherently, step into the far end of the hallway, at 80’ distance, and fire crossbow bolts at Erudisia. They then quick-step back afound the corner and are not visible to Meredith or Erudisia.
Guard #1 (small-headed tiefling goon with a dyed blonde ponytail) 21 / 10HP piercing
Guard #2 (older, with short graying braids): 13 / 1HP piercing

The door opens to another hallway with three doors in it. The first door, 10’ away and on the right, is open, and through it a BOOM! sound echoes, along with scuffling noises. There are two doors on the left, the closest of which has just pulled shut, while the farther — some 60’ away — is open. An anxious-looking guard stands in front of it, and seeing Bell come through the door with Marliza behind her, he raises a crossbow and shouts, “HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!”
(Erudisia’s repeated thunderous blasts have caused perhaps 25HP in total, and ten minutes have passed. Erudisia is suffering from one level of Exhaustion. I’m giving her Inspiration for her heroic efforts so far. And I’m giving Meredith and Bell inspiration too, for their exceptionally heroic RP!)
There are two doors on the left, the closest of which has just pulled shut, while the farther — some 60’ away — is open. An anxious-looking guard stands in front of it, and seeing Bell come through the door with Marliza behind her, he raises a crossbow and shouts, “HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!”
Bell sees the guard step out and immediately raises her hand and speaks the arcane phraseEat Darts Copper ( Magic Missile ) releasing three darts of energy at the guard.
As the magic draws the bolt from her backbone, Erudisia gasps. The magic closes the wound and a month of pinching, itching, scarring and twisting is experienced in an instance.
She turns, and screams in frustration, an incoherent vocalisation of rage as she steps ten feet closer to the end of the corridor so that the corner the guards are hiding behind his sixty feet from her.
Gust of Wind takes the rage and exhalation, the magic draws it in and swells it, a ten-foot corridor of magical gale, howling to smash against the wall.
[strength save: 13 or be pushed fifteen feet if begin turn in gust. Movement is difficult terrain against the wind. And:
“The gust disperses gas or vapor, and it extinguishes candles, torches, and similar unprotected flames in the area. It causes protected flames, such as those of lanterns, to dance wildly and has a 50 percent chance to extinguish them.“
Erudisia’s wind, drawn from the infinite elemental plane of air, blows in a straight line down the corridor. But with nowhere to go, and given that the near end of the passage behind her blocked, the gusting zephyr follows the corridor as it turns sharply left. Yells can be barely heard over the rushing wind, as the guards, who were mid-motion taking snap shots again, send crossbow bolts into a stroming headwind that causes them to loop back then clatter to the walls and floor. The magical gust shoves the guards arse over teakettle backwards out of the corridor.
(The lights are magical. Although they do not gutter, they stretch in weird consonance with the elemental magic.)
Bell
Bell’s target yells, "No!! More witches??!!," and instinctively raises a knee and covers his head with his arms in a standing fetal position, but nothing he can do protects him from the unstoppable force darts. He shouts in pain, and losing his nerve, turns to escape through the doorway to his right, pointing his crossbow and giving himself covering fire as he goes. But Marliza has rushed forward, eyes glowing with hazy yellow light. In mid-leap, the guard is lulled to sleep and lands on a rug in the room beyond the door. Unseen, he rolls a couple of times, asleep, and remains passed out. His crossbow bolt clicks high over Bell’s head, completely missing. It clatters to the floor behind her.
Bell now hears a whooshing noise and cussing through the door to her right, and thinks she may have heard Erudisia casting a spell.
Little One closes the security door, thinking he heard something bad and ready to come to Bell's aid.
Then, from the room into which the now-sleeping guard leapt, Bell hears a high, strident voice chanting an invocation, and finally the words “YOU OWE ME! You got what you wanted now HELP!,” and a terrible red glow shines a hellish rectangle onto the corridor wall opposite the door. A bone-piercing double-screech echoes down the corridor, and Marliza looks to Bell in fear. "What was that!!??" Bell has no idea.
Erudisia walks 30 feet down the corridor, the wind pouring from her all the while, unable to hear much over the howling of the gale.
Erudisia’s hands flicker, Ready to act. If she sees a hair of the guards from around the corner she will release her Eldritch Blast as quickly as she can react.
