"Good idea. I'll go," says Keyleth. Glancing at the heavy armor that Kirinar and Ransyl are wearing, she adds, "Probably best if you two wait here. You too, Radagast. Faen, how are you at staying quiet and keeping out of sight? You're welcome to back me up if you think you can do so discreetly. Or stay with the others. All the same to me."
She then cautiously approaches the temple, staying far enough away to have cover from the foliage, and checking for signs of life outside. [Once she has line of sight on the door of the temple, she will cast minor illusion to conjure the image of an inconspicuous and contextually appropriate shrub between her and the temple if there is not something similar there already]
"Not at the moment. Of course that could change any time. I agree we need to be on high alert, on the way there, and inside, if we can get in," Keyleth replies.

As the walk along the path, Kirinar keeps his eyes open for some of the roots and fruits he has seen at the herbalist's hut. He will take point with Ransyl, his fellow fighter. At the edge of the lake, he looks at the buildings in the middle of it, and says, "Well, looks like we're going in there. Hope the water isn't deep - if I fall off this bridge I'll certainly know!" When the group is ready, he will check the straps on his shield, grip the morningstar, and set off across the bridge.
Keyleth brings up the rear moving stealthily and keeping a bit of distance from the rest of the group, hoping that if the rest of them are spotted by something hostile she might avoid being seen so she can come to their aid. She is holding her bow in her left hand and an arrow in her right.
As you approach you get a better idea of the layout described by Keyleth. The buildings are surrounded by water except the approach from the north.
1. An avenue of broken stones rises up out of the murky, sodden ground and forms a ramp up and out of the swamp. Its cracked surface is choked with weeds and other tenacious plant life, but the stones are the first patch of relative dryness in the constant mire. The ramp juts out over the water and meets the sculpted front of what must have once been an impressive structure of some significance. Massive stone doors, ornate in construction, stand ominous and closed. Long ago they must have been ostentatious in their décor, but what little slivers of gold leaf remain suggests that the wealth of this looming façade has long since been looted. Carvings of reptilian creatures gaze back with hollowed eye sockets that may have held precious gemstones in ancient times.
4. Jutting up above the main building is a lone spire, one of three that once upon a time looked over the temple grounds that is now the sole survivor of the ravages of time. Vines crawl up its sides, winding from its top down the flanks of the temple block.
5. A mostly intact gazebo perches seemingly on the very surface of the water, forming a picturesque gateway to a long, narrow bridge that spans the lake. At the end of the bridge a matching gazebo stands watch over a larger building that rises from the lake, its sculpted walls and arches draped with vines.
9. A tumbledown gazebo, now only a series of carved pillars and cracked tiles, leads out onto a long bridge that connects to a second intact gazebo that has been closed off with heavy drapes. Part of the bridge here has crumbled, leaving a short span of water between the two sections.
13. All that remains of this stone bridge are a few mossy stones poking above the surface of the water.

Keyleth attempts to circulate the grounds, first along the western bridge [9], then, assuming the southern bridge [13] is not traversable, back up and then down the eastern side [5]. She is looking closely at the stone, as well as in toward the center of the structure, for any signs that kobolds have been here recently.

Investigation: 21
You do not see any obvious signs of anything or anyone living there.
"No signs of anybody spending time outside," Keyleth says, having returned to the group. "I suppose we may as well try to open those doors," gesturing to the pair of large stone doors. She approaches the doors and looks for any kind of handle or mechanism by which they might be opened.
"Well? Shall we?" Keyleth says, reaching for the handle of the door on the right. If it opens, she will pause to look around at whatever is visible before moving into the building.
"Wait...shouldn't we check for traps? I hear kobolds are pretty tricky and make nasty traps...Of course, I have no skill in finding them, but I would rather we try not to find them the hard way!"
Once the rogue says it's OK, the fighter will grab one of the handles and push (or pull...) to help open a door.

”Whoa,” Faen says with an awestruck expression on her face.
Ransyl
“Looks like there’s been some renewed activity here. Shall we send a couple of our more stealthy members to scout things out?”
"Good idea. I'll go," says Keyleth. Glancing at the heavy armor that Kirinar and Ransyl are wearing, she adds, "Probably best if you two wait here. You too, Radagast. If called for:

"Darvin" | Changeling | Hexblade 1 / Swords Bard 6 | Descent Into Avernus (AC 19; PP 14; 52/52 HP)
Anton Chergoba | Human | Battlemaster 4 | Lost Mines of Phandelver (AC 20; PP 14; 36/36 HP)
Keyleth easily moves towards the buildings. She does not see anyone or anything moving outside. She is able to get a good look around.
Keyleth returns to the group and describes what she saw. "I didn't see anyone outside. Perhaps we should go see what's inside?"

“I suppose so,” Faen says clearly a bit nervous. “And you didn’t see anyone? This just feels off.”

Ransyl
”Agreed Kirinar, I’ll take point with you.” And with that Ransyl strode to the front of the group, greataxe at the ready.
Ooc - shall I roll a perception check?
“Alright,” Faen says not quite reassured. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”

Radagast walks along with the group keeping to himself. He doesn’t like how ominously quiet it is.

If no handles or mechanisms are found:
“Um maybe I could help with that.” Faen casts mold earth to excavate a 5 ft square in the stone doors and peeks inside.
A quick check of the door and you do see handles.
