on a side note i will not keep track of you inventory, max carry capacity, ammunition and spell slots. i trust you to not cheat yourself and the other players.
if random magic items pop up from nowhere i may have to investigate though ;)
you may consider using the free d&d beyond char sheet. imo it is way more comfortable to create and if you post the link i can always access the actual sheet as needed
I tried making one on here but it was missing the background and I wasn't sure what else. I can give it a second try and change it out later, I just wanted to have something to start with at least
I can assure you that the "Sage" background is present in the Basic Rules, so it's available for free in the character creator. Other things like your race and class are there too, the only thing that's possibly unavailable is the Druidic Circle options, depending on which you would choose at 2nd level. But know that every options could be purchased from the marketplace for as much as $2, so it's not a big deal to get those features you want for your character.
Here is Harry Blackstone, wizard. In order for content sharing to work, Pemsl would need to create a campaign under My Content and give us the share link to join. For now I can give you the list of all of the different pacts for warlock, if you want more information about them just PM me so this thread doesn't get too crowded. Warlock Pacts: The Archfey The Celestial The Fiend The Great Old One The Hexblade The Undying
Same as Karnic, i'm willing to help, I have all 3 main books, as well as Xanathar's guide to everything. so if details are needed I'm willing to assist in research.
I picked the Lucky Feat. but its not on D&D Beyond Character creation.
I bought all the books as physical copies so i just have the free stuff on D&D beyond and i don't plan on buying the same text again just to have it digital. If you want to add that specific class to your inventory, feel free to do so and incorporate it into your char creation
Alright apparently Tiefling_Guus won't join us so i will just go ahead.
First things first...the rules:
-Combat will follow initiative so please only post if it is your turn. if no post is being made in 24h i will take that turn
-If you announce a check go ahead and roll for the skill you think is best suited, if i decide another skill is needed i'll just change the modifier. This should save some time.
-Postlayout: -First the character's name (easier for me to keep track) -Second actions and speech in this format:
use "quotes" for speech
use bold for actions
-italics for speech
-Third and rolls to be made with the build in dice roller
Example: Attack: 21 Advantage or DIsadvantage: 22 Damage: 7 type of damage
Example: Stealth: 8
-Fourth:
any Ooc content marked as Spoiler
If everybody agrees i will start the game. Looking forward to a fun game :)
In the city of Neverwinter, a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker asked you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days’ travel southeast of the city. Gundren was clearly excited and more than a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only that he and his brothers had found “something big,” and that he’d pay you ten gold pieces each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen’s Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to “take care of business.”
You’ve spent the last few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, and you’ve just recently veered east along the Triboar Trail. You’ve encountered no trouble so far, but this territory can be dangerous. Bandits and outlaws have been known to lurk along the trail.
The wagon is a flat bed cart with foot tall walls. A cargo net hold the supplies down. There is a seat up front for two to sit. Enough room in the back for three to sit among the supplies. One or two will need to steer the cart. the others are free to sit/walk wherever they want. Which position do you choose?
Whisper, silent as ever, sits to the right of the driver. His silvery hair is hidden under his traveling cloak, and his eyes glint like two obsidian stones under his hood. He is currently in the process of waxing his bowstring and checking his arrows for maximum effect when he is called upon to use them in combat. He has not said a word since the party departed Neverwinter, but his companions are used to his long periods of silence.
Whisper may be an odd companion, but when adventure calls, he is as dependable a comrade as any.
Seated in the back of the cart is Sakaria, the tiefling cleric. She is calm and composed as always, silent in religious meditation. But her tail fails to hide her inner emotions, as joy and excitement fill up her head; the thoughts of this new life as an adventurer and the opportunity to make new friends within this group of merry fellas are darting in her mind, and this reflects in the rapid movements of her red, leathery tail.

Does anyone have content sharing? I was wondering if I could choose a patron other than The Fiend.

So, we can use official options by adding them as homebrew, is this what you mean?
What about options from different settings (Eberron, Critical Role, etc.), what have you decided about that?
yes it is.
my goal here is to provide a fun game for you guys and learn dming while i am at it not to obsess over every tiny rule that might be found somewhere.
i don't even have read half the stuff you are reffering to btw ;)
I am certainly excited to begin this adventure. I always seem to end up DMing when I want to be playing.
