Orange wakes up with a roar of alarm and anger!

Razzec grabs ahold of the Red one tighter and yells, "Someone light this one on fire. It's got a nasty surprise waiting for it."

Ember hears Razzec yell and immediately casts Prestidigitation at the oil glistening on the manticore and ground.

Specifically --  * You instantaneously light or snuff out a candle, a torch, or a small campfire.

I know it does not specifically state 'oil puddles' however, I am assuming the cantrip is a 'spark' which ignites those other things...
so, it should 'spark' oil ?

With a spark and a fwoosh, the oil becomes a nice flambée around the manticore and Razzec.

Ember calls to his wildfire spirit fox, if you please, a little help taking down the manticore over there (he points to Mister Orange Manticore).

The firey fox flicks it's burning tail as it rears up and spits at the manticore.

The fox dances about in circles while dodging any reprisals.

Despite the flames, the bard rushed up towards Razzec's opponent, again uttering the incantation of a hunter. Closing in, he attempted to skewer the manticore, then took a defensive stance immediately after.

BONUS: Nico uses a 1st-level spell slot to cast Hunter's Mark on the red manticore
MOVE: Close in on the grappled manticore
ACTION: Attack the manticore, adding a Defensive Flourish on a hit
* Rapier Thrust - Attack: 11, Damage: 10 plus 2 Magical Piercing, plus 2 added to AC until start of next turn
   (on a crit, add an extra 5 plus 2 to damage, and an extra 2 to AC)

Nico is now concentrating on Hunter's Mark

On a hit, they are pushed 5 feet away, if they move on their turn, they take 10 more Thunder Damage.

Orange is looking in sad shape and shouts, "Surrender! we surrender! Gives up!"

Red growls, "No fight! Eat Starving!"

"Fight, die! They kill! Set free, we go! We only hungry."

Both manticores adopt less hostile postures.

Razzec, looking rather bewildered at the two talking Manticores says, "Well that's something new.  I didn't know they could talk." and let's go off the Red manticore. "I guess it was a good thing I didn't get my breath attack off yet." He continues to look at the beasts as he starts sorting through his backpack.  He pulls out two trail rations and asks, "Will these help?  I'd gladly give them over for some information on why you attacked us and how you got down here."

OOC: I'm assuming we're out of combat now or at least they are not hostile towards us unless we continue to attack?

Grey would relax too, assuming they seem genuine 27, and since he keeps missing anyways!

Nico, eyes wide, looked between the two manticores, then just slowly shook his head as he sheathed his rapiers. Forming a deliberate frown, he wagged his finger at them.

"Now... that was jus' plum foolish," he began, before catching himself and cutting his rant short. Shaking his head again, he just folded his arms and sighed, then waited for their response to Razzec's questioning.

Did Ember hear correctly?  Manticores can talk!   And they are 'just hungry'?

"I can fix the hungry bit!" Ember said as he swooped down near his friends and close to the manitcores.

Pulling a small bit of plant from a pouch, Ember mutters some words over his open hand while moving the plant about.   Goodberry  In a twinkling, Ember's hand is filled with 10 berries.  Handing one to each of his companions and  laying two close on the floor beside each manticore... Ember will demonstrate by popping his own berry into his mouth while making a sound of satisfaction and contentment.

Seeing as how he was failing as a performance artist, Ember just throws up his hands in frustration.  "Okay.  I stink at acting.  Guess that is why I am not a Bard.  These ARE Goodberrys though.  They ARE safe... you saw me eat one already.  And you can watch my companions eat theirs as well."  Gestures for the others to eat their berries. (PLEASE) 

"If you eat those on the floor, at least it will sate your cravings for a time and give us moments to see if we can help you with more food or means to leave here."

Grey will eat his Goodberry. "Yum" he says smiling, "I don't have create food and water spell memorized, but could certainly do it on our next long rest and leave our new friends a feast when we leave."

The bard smiled and nodded at Ember in appreciation of the goodberry before consuming it at his request. The he turned his frown back on as he faced the manticores again.

Razzec eats his goodberry, and says to the Manticores, "either will satisfy your hunger for a day" gesturing to the rations and the goodberries.  "Though the goodberries will relieve some of the pain we caused each other during that fight. Though mind you, I ain't apologizing for a fight we didn't start."
