Just a 20 by 20 foot room with a beaded curtain the front and a door to the right.
The beads are red in color. They look like glass on some sort of string. Closer inspection shows that it is quite deep (a series of curtains) - You cannot see beyond it.
“As it so happens, I do have a ten foot pole.” Anton pulls a collapsing pole out of his pack and, with a word, extends it to its full length. He approaches the curtain with caution and jams the pole through to the other side and seeing if it meets resistance.
When Anton thrusts the pole through the curtain it goes in with little resistance. Pulling back firmly and quickly is easy. Experimentation shows that swift movement is easier and slow movement is resisted.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
A mischievous smile appeared on Nico's face as he rubbed his chin. "So, I guess we're gonna need to just run through, and risk whateva's on the other side."
He looked around at the party, his eyes now gleaming with excitement. "Who's goin' first?"
Razzec regains enough composure to get out, "Four bugbears attacked me. I'm not sure how many or which one got me before I got the heck out of there. I didn't have enough time to see anything else going on in there. I definitely need some help."
Otho ponders for a moment, the joys of the unknown are always a thrill, “a thought…” he brushes the beads with his mage hand, “is there a way to draw them to us? I can cast minor illusions that might entice them to meet us on our terms. Tsk, if only someone could summon a familiar or turn invisible. A patron of mine once had that skill. A blessing, truly.”
Ember's Passive Perception = 16 if that helps give any advantage to 'noticing things'

Grey will inspect the beaded corridor, looking for any traps or objects hidden in the beads:

The more gently you touch it, the more resistant to movement it is. It parts easily to swift touches.

"Huh," said Nico, noticing the interactions. "I don't suppose anyone's got a ten-foot pole? Or a lance or spear?"

"Or perhaps a bow and arrow with some twine tied to it?" Ember looks about to touch a strand of the hanging curtain as they speak.

Razzec steps up to the curtains and says, "Might as well be me." And with that he takes off and starts looking around as he's going.
((Let me know if I need him to roll for anything))
Razzec dashes through the curtain with a clatter of beads!
Razz make DC 15 Dex save.

Razz comes back right away diving through the curtain, and you notice he is bleeding from a wound in his chest.

Grey looks at Razzec and asks, “Did you turn around and come back, or did you get to the end of the corridor, only to be back where you started?”
He’ll give a quick glance to his chest to see how bad the wound is.

"Look" he says, "before any of you want to run through, tell me, I can give you a Blessing of Moradin to help."
Razzec regains enough composure to get out, "Four bugbears attacked me. I'm not sure how many or which one got me before I got the heck out of there. I didn't have enough time to see anything else going on in there. I definitely need some help."
((The freaking hurt lol))
"Well! I s'pose a blessing would help, but I figger we can take those bugbears out if all just rush in."
The bard gave a sympathetic grin and a shrug towards Razzec. "Sorry 'bout that wound--I'd planned on runnin' in first, you just beat me to it!"
The young man cleared his throat, as if preparing to sing, and his voice took on a somewhat melodic quality as he spoke his incantation: "Upone!"
(( Nico will use a 2nd-level spell slot; Razzec recovers 9 HP ))

Ember keeps looking between Rezzek and the beaded curtain. "Rezzek, can you guess how long the hall is when you charged through the beads?
I ask because I am thinking if I just burn all the strings to ash... perhaps we can get a clear view of your dance partners on the other side."
"We could try the door, see if it leads us to the same place?" Grey says, "I'm also not oppose to us all just rushing in!"
