Anton bends to peer pressure and follows the others into the depression. As it releases his hold, he glances up at the hole in the ceiling. “My eyes are shite for the dark.” He turns to Ember “Could you fly up there and check it out?”Anton turns his glance to the rest of the room, looking to see if there are any changes to the room they entered other than the hole in the ceiling.
"I can cast Light also if anyone needs a light for themselves."
Remembering the platforms and the gravity room they encountered, Grey will throw a rock, or coin if none are around into the hole above. "Stand back!" he'll warn the others before he tosses it up.
Ember waits to watch the results of Grey throwing a rock UP the hole.

If nothing odd or challenging happens to the rock or the hole, Ember will bring forth Produce Flame and, as soon as the flame appears in his left hand, Ember will leap up and fly slowly UP the hole... now brightly lit by his flame.
The brightly lit tunnel goes up about 50 feet before climbing rungs appear in the walls. It looks like the rungs go up another 50 feet before stopping at a metal trapdoor.

"I have 50ft of rope on my bag. If someone else also has some, we should have enough to at least get us to the hand holes to climb the rest of the way up. I also have climbing gear to get some pitons into place so if Ember can't carry the rope up, I'll start climbing my way up and setting the line for the rest." Razzec says to the others whie starting to unhook the rope from the outside of the bag. "Do you think the trapdoor opens up or down?"
{{OOC - I'm not sure how many people oave rope but if three of us do, we should be able to connect them and have Ember fly up towards the last of the rungs and tying the rope there so we have an anchor point in case anyone has difficulties climbing up. Ember looks at Razzec, "Worry not. I can carry 50 feet of rope and still fly up. It might be a bit slow and clumsy. Of course, I can 'cheat' too."
He started pacing back and forth on the floor.
"Lay out your two coils of rope. YOU tie them together as much as necessary to hold you 'secure'. THEN, I can cast a spell of shrinking. The two ropes will still barely be a quarter of their combined weight and I can swiftly fly up to the ladder rungs and secure it up there. If I work fast enough, I can have it 'up' and at least looped around a couple rungs before dropping the rope down. By then it should be back to normal size and the ladder rungs will take up the increased weight. I can finish tying everything off and Bob's your Uncle.. we will be good to go!"
Ember beamed as he finished his lecture on rope wrangling.
"Ok then, let's get to tying those ropes together. " Razzec says as he begins to ty the ropes together and then proceeds to lay them out as Ember said."There you go. That should be able to hold me so I think it'll hold the rest as well. We should probably go one at a time until everyone is at the hand rungs before the next goes up. I'm ok, going first to make sure it holds. Ember and I can start working on the trapdoor as soon as we get up there."
"I think we should wait until everyone is ready to go in, just in case something is waiting for us in the fog." Razzec says to those behind him. "Pass the message on to be ready as soon as we get through the trapdoor."

"Let's go ahead and do the stone but I'll hide it for now so the light doesn't give us away. I'm able to sense those around me even if I have my eyes shut so I think if I go first, I can at least tell if anyone is directly near the trapdoor. I'll use the stone once we're all up if I don't sense anyone while we're spreading out." Razzec says to Grey.
"Sounds good to me," said Nico as they worked out their strategy. "I can head up last; if anything happens down here I should be able to teleport up and cut the rope so whatever finds us can't follow us."
"Sounds solid" Grey says, "I can go second then, if we run into trouble I can summon some guardians that will attack even if we can't see who's there while the others join us."

Grey has rope, and can offer Guidance, so add a d4 if your tying ropes, etc.

Grey will cast Guidance on Ember after the ropes are tied, in case he needs it for tying the rope up above on the rungs.

"Would you like a rock with light on it to toss into the fog?" He'll ask Razzec, "though it may give us away and any surprise we 'might' have."
If he wants it, Grey will give a lit stone to him.
