The party went on for a couple of hours, finally ending when Rix yelled down over the cliff that the washing was dry. Then like quicksilver the kobolds jumped out of the spring and headed back up to the cloister to bring in the washing by the light of a clerics spell.
Tarak had finished the elixir, and Shayla hands him the mushrooms. He looks at then carefully then starts harvesting the spores onto a new piece of parchment.
Everyone wanders off to bed, leaving Barakas alone in the Temple.
Krack watches the kobolds and his new friend playing tag, but he doesn't join them. He feels tired, more tired then he should. But it is good, he feels warm, like he had a good day. Being around so many kobolds and the beauty of the temple is overwhelming at times, but extremely satisfying.
He returns to his room and uses his remaining magical energy to create more [Tooltip Not Found] as he know calls them, which he will share with the others tomorrow. He lays down in his bed and closes his eyes.
He is flying again, as he often does in his dreams, but this time he is not alone, nor being carried. At first he is flying next to a small dark drake, both of them laughing and smiling, the land far below them. Then he is flying over the water, mere feet from the waves, sitting atop the little drake, singing a kobold war march at the top of his lungs! Next, the sun is warming the scales of both Krack and the little drake, as they sit against a tree, eating some berries...
Krack sits up in bed, awaken by the sounds of eating. There, across the room, is the little drake from his dreams, eating one of his Krack berries!
"Greetings!" Krack says, his smile wider then ever.
It looks like Barakas may have to go exploring by himself. The silence of the night, lit by a full moon are all the company he has. Perhaps he should leave a note.
As light shines upon him, he notices that Veneer is far from coming. He takes little time and writes two notes exactly the same, leaving one in Veneer's courts and one outside the temple next to any statue that would look like hiding their own face. He would also mark the direction he is walking. The note says in cants , that would translate into "Going to the Observatory. Need eyes"
He then strolls through the night with is white robe on his back and a hood that blends with his horns. He then keeps flipping his coin and smiles, letting out a laugh followed by "I missed this. Let's have fun tonight."
Some people could hear his laugh, but what anyone would remember would be the constant coin flipping in the air, as he used his Thaumaturgy to try enhance the sound echoing through the night.
Barakas stands still and listens, but it is the stench that assails his nostrils, that of the unwashed, if they'd even bathed ever. He sees some winged kobold flittering about in the bushes. They move to surround him but do not yet have a clean view to aim at.
It was singing that woke you all this morning, as the sun filled the sky with clear blue skies. Tarak shuddered, the acoustics from the top of the island rang clear, a Harpys call.
Reitl and Rix took part in the litany of Bahamut to see in the new day, Runaras clear alto led the service.
Rix went around the Temple lighting up cedar incense. He found Barakas's note and read it quickly. He held it out to Runara. Barakas didn't say the route he intended to take. Thank you Rix, I'll keep an eye out for him.
As he notices the commotion, and a small grin is drawn on his face. Rapidly he looks back between the bushes and the sky and yells "Please please don't shoot. I mean no harm. I'm just lost and alone please, please.", while trying to convince them that he is no enemy
OOC: Role persuasion (23) or performance (19)? I rolled a 16 and added the modifiers
A yipping sound erupts around you as angry kobolds emerge from their hiding places and attack. The three kobolds burst out of the bushes all aiming at Barakas with their shortbows. Who you? They scream in unison. Are you Runaras according to that robe you is. We don't pray to that god nor answer to the blue dragon. Have you food or coin?
While still down he says "Ba....Barakas." Then he looks at the robe and for a split second fear feels him which then is replaced by disgust "You mean this? You think those would care for the likes of mine? Would they care about a tiefling ? C'mon! I just happen to find it and it has protected me ever since. I don't care what you pray for. I'm just walking by. I almost have no money and food, just a useless old coin for gambling." His voice stings as he says that. He tries to stand up and take off his hood showing his horns. Looking eagerly at their eyes and his voice as sweet as honey he says "Would you care to gamble too?"
OOC: Are these Kobold winged or regular?
OOC: I roll another dice for either performance or persuasion (12 or 16, respectivelly)
Could kill you for food! They grin and Barakas is suddenly aware of their rows of sharp teeth. They are very different from the kobolds he'd met before, almost feral.
Trilaxa stumbles out into the light, haggard from her extended study session in the library. She looks around for any of her compatriots to see what she has missed.
[[Sorry about disappearing, was in hospital. All good now. I'm up to date on the thread, I'm just RP'ing Trilaxa returning.]]

He sighes and regains his compuse and says "And me thinking I would be able to hear Minn and Mek story with no problems. That I would be able to help Myla out. Having the gracious and mighty winged Kobolds attacking passagers for food, that wouldn't suit any tales of their greatness". Barakas starts rolling his shoulders and preparing to cast Thaumaturgy in case they get more feral and he feels that conversation won't solve it
Insight(?) : 1...... (Barakas cries internally in infernal)
The winged kobolds looked at his horns, nudging each other. Then finally one spoke, Minn and Mek? You looking for those allied to the blue dragon. They guard the walkway to the Observatory. You devil folk? Sure you haven't any food? Gold? Either will do. We could ransom you to the Temple, they'd pay for your return I guess. Or give us the coin you tossed about and we let you go.
Early to eat today and it was made worse by the Harpy. Suddenly it all goes silent and Tarak lets out a sigh of relief, the off tune singing stopped. Reitl and Rix reassure all those who heard her. She had moved off now. It seems that she was eating zombies. A shiver goes down your spine, she'd be back on the Compass Rose by now. She was getting more dangerous. Runara remained silent. The noise had made her pensive. It was time to do something with the ship and finally put the dead to rest.
"Ohhh this coin? It has no use. You couldn't buy anything. It has no value" Barakas shows them the coin. "I make you a proposal: 1) You help me reach the Observatory and talk to those 2. I want to know why people dislike the likes of you winged Kobold. If you do it, I can help you get some food and money. 2) I give you this useless coin and we go our separate ways. I think you 3 are smart enough to know what to do." He tosses his coin pretty high this time and as it reflects the moonlight Barakas tosses his head back at them and says "Ohh and don't even think about crossing me. Because I know hell better than any of you."
OOC: You want me to roll something? Persuasion? Intimidation? Idk
