The kid bends down to look closer at the crates. "Those sure do belong to Lionshield Coster. I'm over there all the time. They make really neat weapons." The kid continues looking over your sword. "You must be an adventurer huh? I can take you there to the Lionshield Coster if you'd like. It's down the street."
Stonehill tells Morpetor a night in the inn will be 5sp per person. After Gramgran suggests sharing a room, he turns to the elderly lady. "Seeing as two could share a room, I'd cut you a deal. 3sp per person. As far as magic goes, there's nothing of that sorts here in the city. Barthen's Provisions is the best place around here to pick up some adventuring gear."
With Ren's return, the kid turns to Ren. He starts to look scared of the barbarian. The kid is about to run off, looking around for an alleyway.
Seeing the kid start to look scared of him, Renvalm holds ups his hands and tries to look less threatening. "I'm a friend little one, I will not harm you. The one you speak to his a friend of mine and he can vouch for me. If you can help be a guide to us you will be rewarded." With that Renvalm will produce a a few silver pieces and offer them to the kid.

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
Yuri holds out a hand to the kid, "Easy, Renvalm is my friend. He's our bravest warrior." Narrowing his eyes he leans a little closer, "He protected us from the largest bugbear I'd ever seen."
Standing and going over to Renvalm, Yuri claps him on the shoulder. "If you want to make a few more silvers, why don't you meet us here tomorrow morning, take us down to the Coster."
“A bugbear?” The kid says in awe. “Those are nasty creatures. I’ve heard stories of them.” He swipes the coins from Ren. “I would take you tomorrow, but my father already has plans for me. It’s right down the street. A short walk.” He eyes Yuris coin pouch.
Smiling kindly at Stonehill, she says, "Well thank you for the discount dearie! I'm sure that will be fine. Here's the money for six people sharing. By the way, you wouldn't happen to know where Cragmaw Castle is would you?" She asks this as she's handing over the money.
Kim- "That would be lovely Gramgran. Not only will it be niceto have some girl time, I would love to listen to some stories you have had to gain over the years. "
"Well now honey, I don't think you're quite old enough for some of those stories, but I'd be happy to tell you a few!" She pats Kim's hand and grins at her.
Yuri tosses a few more silvers coins at the child. "Consider yourself on retainer, next time we see you around, we might have a few more questions for you."
Along with Renvalm, he secures the cart and goods, then follows Ren to the inn.
"That is very much appreciated Gramgran." Addressing Yuri, "Yuri, since we are dropping those crates off tomorrow let's share a room so we can get up early to take them off."

Kim taking some time to look around the group decides to use some of this time off to improve her abilities. She turns to address Morpetor, "So I don't know much about spells the way wizards use them as I have natural magic energy in me. How much do you use on a given day or spell? I am wanting to learn more about wizards, and more importantly you and Darthos. Maybe that knowledge might help us find or help him one day, plus it may allow me to know I need to step up in a time of need either when we need to save your materials for a worse situation, or possibly if you run out. Also, I would love to work on my spell casting and would love to train with another magic user, but I don't want to waste your materials. Although, if we can get some good training from it, I wouldn't mind pitching in some money for the training materials. What do you say?"
Morpetor motions to the inn keeper, “Could we have two glasses of wine, please?”
As the inn keeper moves to fill the order, Morpetor begins to talk shop with Kim. There is a gleam in his eye, as he begins sharing about his passion, his love... magic.
“I am a student of the School of Evocation, although I am versed in the other schools as well. They are all of value and serve wizards well in this world. I would choose to keep myself surrounded by books if it weren’t for the hypocrisy that lay behind the idea of spending all one’s time studying magic without actually being in the world to use magic to help others.
“In this world, I have found that there are many weaker creatures that rely on the powerful for their protection. I have chosen to spend my life, therefore, outside the libraries and in the school that is the world - learning from life, and from others I meet along the path.
“My bread and butter spell of attack is my ‘Firebolt’, which I have committed to memory and can use at any time, it is as reliable as my longbow which I continue to use because it keeps me close to my elven heritage.
“With more power, but less frequency, I choose to use ‘Burning hands’ and ‘ice knife’ when I am surrounded by multiple opponents. ‘Magic missle’ is also a favorite of mine.
“However, I am looking for a diamond in order to resume using the ‘Chromatic Orb’ attack. It deals much damage, but I seem to ha e misplaced the diamond needed for the spell. Much of the magic I perform is harnessed through this glass orb. She is like a dear friend to me.
”If we have need of reading in other language, identifying found objects, or in detecting the traces of magic, I have access through my spell book to do such things. Although, come to think of it, I am still in need of a pearl in order to cast one of those spells. Keep your eye open, will you?
”I seem to have talked for too long, what is your story, and the nature of your magic? Let me buy you dinner in exchange for yapping in your ear.”
And without waiting for Kim’s reply, Morpetor orders two of the house specials for he and his new dinner guest.
Gramgran wants to join this conversation, so she will take a chair by Kim and listen to these two talk about their beliefs and feelings about magic in this more scientific way than she has experienced.
"That's all fascinating Morpetor! Especially when talking about the Ice Knife spell. That is my favorite spell. I have found most enemies don't expect the shards it sends out. It is a spell I have known for a long time, but I never really learned it. It more of came to me. I usually just make a bad ice pun and focus my energy from inside through the necklace I have. I also love that you bring fire to the table. I bet we could make some interesting combinations with the two."
Kim notices Gramgran joining and smiles at her as she continues on.
"I will absolutely look out for some diamonds and Pearl's. Strengthening one person of the group makes the whole much better.
"You asked me about the nature of my magic, which is kinda funny for me to think about because for some reason I am only able to conjure ice magic, well offensively that is. I more of just feel spells out. Such as the whisper spell I have used multiple time, I got into a situation that I felt like life would be easier if the person at the time could just hear my thoughts and they responded. It was crazy and so simple it felt like. It took a while to master it to the point I have now to where I can use it repetatively use it at will."
Now with Gramgran here, she looks to her to see if she has some input to the magic discussion.
Yuri goes to the bar and orders a couple of mugs of ale for himself and Renvalm. Paying for the drinks he carries them over to the others, passing Renvalm a mug of frothy bitter ale and taking a seat.
Taking the drink from Yuri, Renvalm takes a long drought from it. "Thanks Yuri, I needed that. So about tomorrow, once we take those crates back, what are we going to do about the supplies Gundren tasked us to deliver to Barthen’s Provisions? Do you want to stop by there as well and drop them off?"

Yuri takes a draught from the mug, swallowing the malty, amber liquid and nodding with Renvalm. "I think so, let's make our rounds and restock if needed."
Stretching himself out, he looks round the group. "I don't know about you all, but I'm glad we aren't spending another night outside or in that cave."
Kim nods in quick agreement with Yuri. "Also not bleeding to death is another great perk."
She looks back to Morpetor and Gramgran, "What do you think about us splitting up the work load, we can go gather supplies while they deliver the supplies for Gundren."
She swivels her head back to the two men and ask them, "Would yall be okay with that? I can make a list of what you are wanting and go grab it for you. Obviously you should probably inspect armor and weapons yourself, but generic supplies we can do."
After making this statement it dawns on her. She has her own troop, a squad that is expecting her and waiting on her, yet she has quickly started thinking of these people, still mostly strangers, as her team. She felt at home with them. What would her captain say or think about this? She wasn't sure about any of it, but she did know she could put it off and ponder more later, after all she still had to help the group find Gundren.
