She look on Kim's face was one of panicked dumbstruck. She would have to find a way to keep this close to the vest. He training started to kick in and she adjusted herself, now focusing on the men inside. She could only hear Gramgran talking to the group of suspicious men so she took an assumption that Yuri and Morpetor were still at the table from before. She concentrated and caster her wish per spell again, thankful that this useful spell was always at the ready for her. "Yuri, Renvalm and I are at the door. Make a signal if you believe we need to join in or when you believe everything is fine for us to leave."
Once this message was sent, she raised her hand to prepare as a light layer of frost slowly formed and glistened across her palm.
As Gramgram approaches the conversation, the larger man snatches a small coin pouch from Stonehill. The large man laughs and then turns, nodding to the others. They begin to walk out of the tavern. The large man see's Gramgram and nods at her with a smile. One of his front teeth are missing from his toothy grin. "Morning Ma'am."
Magic messages pass between the members of the group. One of the men at the front forcibly open the door to the tavern. It slams hard against the building as it reaches it's limits of opening.
After they leave, Gramgran will turn to Stonehill and say, “What was that all about dearie?”
(Btw, you all were gearing up for a fight when Gramgran wanted to just find out what was going on. Like dang, you young whippersnappers always wanting to scrap)
Stonehill looks defeated to say the least. He tells you that they belong to a local gang of ruffians known as the Redbrands. "They've been around town for a while. Offering protection at a price. Most people have been in this town before they arrived and didn't have any problem. Most didn't wanna pay up and then problems began to start. Now it seems they're only business is taking our money and causing issues if we don't pay up." He shakes his head in defeat.
“Well I never! As soon as I finish finding that dwarf Gundren I will be having a word with those boys! Don’t they know it’s not right to take things from honest folk?” Gramgran stares hard at the doorway they just left. “I’ll rectify their behavior by my dancing goddess!”
After the commotion settled Kim looks to Remvalm and says, "Now we must go cor a run. Once we are away from others, I will answer you more about the BIRD." She placed inficist on the last word to make sure the meaning was not lost." She places her amulet back into her shirt then takes off in a decently paced run.
OOC- I know not everyone wants to kill us, but I felt like Kim would be suspicious and want to double check intenstions before leaving her friends.
With the thugs now gone, Yuri sheathes his sword, glad to not have used it. Saying his farewells to Morpetor and Gramgran. He heads out to the yard to inspect the cart and see to the horses.
Before Kim takes off Renvalm responds, "If you insist, lead they way." After that he will start running with her as well.

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
After finishing his breakfast, Morpetor walks over to Gramgran and Stonehill. Leaning against the bar, he casually says, “I don’t know about you, but after the day we had yesterday, I feel like everyone is trying to kill me.”
Morpetor continues, “sometimes I feel as if life is just a game, and all of our choices are left up to chance. As if the the gods are rolling dice to determine our lot.”
While Kim and Ren are outside of the business, they observe the Redbrands head off down the street to another business. Since you two were not inside when the deal went down, you're not sure what exactly happened inside.
Kim runs just outside the village with Renvalm hot on her heels. Once she believes she is far enough away from others she directs her attention to the powerful man. "Ren, before I tell you everything, I need your word this stays between the two of us. I am here because I am following a mission from my Captain. I myself am a Lieutenant. He is acquainted with Gundren and sent me to help him out. He didn't trust anyone lower, but need to stay back with our troop. The clockwork Raven you saw that morning is apart of the rumors people hear of. The Raven order is a secret branch, but one that has some rumors of its existence. If you have questions I will answer them."
The look on her face is serious. Not a bit of playfulness or deceit. Her nerves were on edge as she went to give the light of truth to this man. He could betray her, but letting him bring these questions up in public would be just as bad, possibly worse by having more people who could spread this information. As she spoke her nervousness disappeared as her training had taken over. When facing a battle, a calm mind is always more useful than a frantic one. What happens now, would be up to Renvalm. She would either be closer to her ally, face his wrath, or accept that ties were broken and they would finish this assignment with awkwardness in the air. No matter what happened she would be ready for it.
She pats Morpetor on the shoulder. “Morpetor, of course life is random. That just means you can take whatever path you desire. You can do anything, and the only thing holding you back is you.”
Renvalm doesn't answer at first, instead he closes his eye and thinks for a moment. "Secrets, I don't care much for them or the groups that keep them but rest assured that I shall keep yours. As long as you stay honorable you have nothing to fear from me. There is one thing you can do for me though that will help keep my silence, I want you to look into something for me. You see before you someone who looks to be built for combat but that wasn't always the case. I was taken off the streets against my will and subjected to horrors in an attempt to make something to be used in war. What I want you to do is have this Raven Order look into any rumors of this happening to others. You see, I look to find who did this to me because they have a lot to answer for. What say you, is this something your order can do for me?"

Kimberly looks over Renvalm. "I cannot promise I will get any information, but I can promise I will try. Soon as I reconnect with my captain, I will ask about this."

Ren and Kim will make their way back into town after this morning's cardio exercise. Gramgram and Morpetor will see the "Redbrands" leave another business and carry on out of town.

Hearing a whisper from Kim, Morpetor, talks into his own hand, casting the Message spell he has used many times before.
“It is good to know you are just outside, if you hear a commotion, we will be able to surround them knowing you are coming from the door.”
OOC - by the way, this spell is directed at Kim, only she can hear it, and she can respond back to Morpetor.
On hearing the whisper from Kim, Yuri strains his senses, keen to know what's going on at the bar.

OOC Gramgran is precious and must be protected! In all fairness I thought that you were going to get the polar opposite of a head nod and a "morning".
