Immediately, three missles of light shoot out of his orb. The missles weave their way to their target, hitting Glasstaff from behind.

Damage 10

The missiles leave Morpetor's magical orb. They strike true against Iarno. The force hitting him in the chest knocks the air out of him. 

Kim is up! (If no reply, I'll play her later this evening.)

KimKimbe dashes at Iarno and attempts to grab him.

"You will pay for your crimes!"

OOC- please roll a grapple attempt for me.

Kim strength 5 vs Iarno dex 11

Kim gets a hold of Iarno and Iarno is unable to avoid the grasp. This gives Iarno a chance to cast shocking grasp. 

Attack: 18 Damage: 8

As a bonus action, Iarno misty steps from Kim's hands 15 feet back from where he was.

Yuri is up!

Yuri pulls his wrists apart, shattering the ice making them appear closed and goes to Vah'Lhorn, retrieving his sword and shield, before turning to face Iarno.

"Glasstaff, tell us about the Black Spider."

"The Black Spider is a drow that runs this city and everything else in the area! You meddle in the Black Spiders operations, he will hunt you down like dogs." 

Gramgran

Grasping the amulet of her goddess, Gramgran will cast guiding bolt at Iarno. She's not trying to kill him, just prevent him from fighting.

Yuri will gain some information out of Iarno. it appeared he was trying to lie, but could not.

Sildar, still under the magical spell, is unable to react to the battle unfolding in the street. His glossed over eyes are able to watch, but his body is unable to move. 

Gramgran sends a magical bolt toward Iarno. The damage strikes him dead center in the chest, knocking him to the ground with a loud thud. Blood begins to run out of his mouth as he lay on his back in the middle of the town square. He is gasping for air and appears he is going to die. 

Vah'Lhorn is up!

Vah'Lhorn charges towards Iarno, after he vanishes from Kim's grasp, catching up to the man as Gramgram's bolt knocks him to the ground. Vah'Lhorn will stand over Iarno, placing a foot on the man's chest to pin him down. He lowers the tip of his sword to Iarno's neck and says slowly and clearly, "Move more than your lips and you die here and now. Answer our questions and you may yet live."

Vah'Lhorn readies an Eldritch blast at Iarno, should he fail to comply with the statement.

Iarno lay on his back with the tiefling's sword to his neck.

Yeah, that would most likely be fine. 

Gramgran

Walking up to Iarno, Gramgran will cast spare the dying on him so that he won't die because of his wounds.

"Sildar, if those actions aren't sufficient to sway you towards his guilt, then I'd image we could arrange a confession..." Vah'Lhorn stands a little heavier on Iarno's chest as he speaks, "Though I am more inclined to find out what this Black Spider is about."

 Misread your post.

Sildar comes to after the concentration breaks from Iarno's hold. Sildar will sheath his weapon. "I am very sorry to have doubted you. Iarno was a dear friend of mine. Never I could have imagined he would have betrayed the Lord's Alliance. I will see to it that he answers for his crimes. If you must question him, please do not be rough." Sildar will stand by to take custody of him after you are done with your questioning. 

"You were not wrong to put your faith in a long time friend over those you have recently met. That he betrayed the alliance and your friendship, speaks of how his character must have fallen low." Vah'Lhorn nods to Sildar, and at the request  lifts his foot from Iarno, using it to kick away the quarterstaff Iarno had held ready, but keeps his sword point near to the wizard.

To Iarno, Vah'Lhorn speaks in less civil tones, "First off, know that Sildar's request to be gentle lasts as long as you co-operate. At the first hint of a lie, I shall remind you of how your Rebrands have been treating the peaceful villagers in Phandalin... Now, tell is of this Drow, this Black Spider. What is he to you?"

Sildar will approach Iarno and bind his hands with rope. He withdraws a potion and pours a little down Iarno's throat. That brings Iarno to consciousness.

Iarno will tell you, "The Black Spider is a drow  He controls the area around here. The Black Spider sent three bugbears to help keep the population of Phandalin under control, but my Redbrands have managed without them."

"The Black Spider is searching for Wave Echo Cave and the Forge of Spells inside. This was a place where dwarves and gnomes of the Phandelver Pact crafted powerful magical items within the magical forge. The bugbears know the way to Wave Echo Cave."

Iarno turns to Sildar, "No other members of the Lords' Alliance know of my betrayal. I am sorry my friend."

"Sorry does not excuse betrayal!" This comes out very harshly from Kim, her normal pale face turning red with anger. 

"Now continue with the information! Where can we find the bugbears?!"
