"Wait!" Anachain says in a whispered call out to Gimrin before he leaves.
"Be wary... The lights are not harmless. I believe there is some magics about them," she cautions. "And there is something... floating a bit beyond a lantern light. I know not what it is but I get the sense of a bedsheet... flapping or such? I cannot see it clearly in my mind's eye, I am sorry... It is still too blocked by the trees for me to visualize it properly. I can try again if you wish to wait but I can make no promises."
With that, Anachain allows the halfling to be on their way if they wish or to wait while she takes a moment to put a hand out to one of the trees to steady herself while she closes her eyes and takes a few moments rest. It is almost as if she immediately fell into a nap while standing - about half a minute or three goes by while she just stays there swaying a bit, steadied by the tree but otherwise closed off from the world around her.
Anachain sends her senses out into the woods to connect with her invisible familiar Myrth. For a time she sees what the imp sees, she hears what the imp hears. She directs Myrth to try to get closer to the fluttering blanket type thing it had detected and reported on earlier only this time she is along for the ride - after a fashion anyway.
Anachain narrates a running play by play of what she views of hears only being careful to not mention quite how she is seeing or hearing it. Any mention of Myrth is instead referred to as her "mind's eye" instead. ((Mostly so DM can just post what she sees here directly rather than to my private channel and then me relating it, slowing the whole process...))
Before Darryl leaves, Togar spots his spear, stuck down below the bridge. “Hold. You might need this…”. Togar pulls it up with some effort and flies up in the air, descending and giving the spear to Darryl. “You’ll need this on the way home. Just in case.” He nods and then promptly ignores the elf, flying off toward the others, watching where they go. At this point Togar lands and watches, from far back. He waits to listen to Anachain, then tilts his head, curious about what lies ahead.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Darryl thanks Togar and takes the spear before he is off, heading back, Ashton in tow.
As Grimrin approaches his eyes wide at the sight of the beings before him, he feels the warmth of the lantern light against the dark and the cold as a welcome sight, there is a want within him, a need, to draw closer to be of help.
But if course myrth doesn't see how Grimrin reacts as the halfling is still very very sneaky. What myrth does see however, and Anachain relates to the group, are four tall creatures floating around the forest, their wings don't seem to flap, instead swaying about them as if they were underwater, they hold odd lanterns in front of them though not made from metal, instead odd mineral swirled about the light within, as if the entire thing had coincidentally grown from some kind of coral.
Each tall creature has a lantern, and each tall creature has a small following of mundane forest critters who seem to be mesmerised by the light. The critters eyes are wide and their faces serene, the tall creatures float around asking something of the critters, but it seems to fall in deaf ears as the language the tall creatures use is strange.
"Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?" Anachain asks upon return her consciousness to her own body and explaining all that she had seen and heard. "I would guess they seem almost aquatic but that of course makes no sense. And whatever they are, they seem to be... problematic."
"Pixies plus? Like giant pixies with a new and improved flavor?" Anachain responds. "Maybe problem because a sword doesn't make creatures obey and follow... Well fine, if done right then maybe but magic can do it more easily... And there is definitely magic at play here."
Anachain pauses for a moment and thinks. Something she heard when focused earlier... she can translate it... "...will you help? Will you follow? Something is wrong, someone is hurt, will you help?" she says aloud. "It is what the floating creatures are saying..."
"Oh, Grimrin? He's right..." But looking around Anachain realizes the "little thief" isn't nowhere to be seen. "Oh, crap..."
Deniz feels nothing as yet, and sees little more than the others. He can't identify the creatures from the description, but they sound fey-like and he is curious about the effect they have on the forest creatures. The elf has no way to check on the halfling, but feels confident in his own ability to resist any fey charms. Clutching his magic pearl, and drawing on its power, with a soft-spoken warning to the other three, Deniz strides forward.
Watch and take care...
Deniz will move forward toward the creatures in the light, trusting in his resistance to charm, if that's what's going on here... Also, use an action to activate Pearl of Power to regain a 2nd level spell slot.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Deniz strides forward and is followed by kulloda, as they make their way toward the lantern holding creatures they feel a want to follow wash over them, effecting them differently. But they also see Grimrin stepping out of the shadows, his halfling face backed in the soft warm light as he approaches, focussed on nothing but the light.
As the creatures spot you all they approach, speaking in soft tones, asking something in sylvan. Just as Anachain reported, "please help us, someone is hurt, others are hurting, will you follow, help us please" an overlapping choir of softly spoken voices eerie in the quiet of the surrounding night, not even the mesmerised woodland critters who follow the creatures make any noise.
"Kulloda already strong," Kulloda says in reply to Deniz. "Strong mind."
He does frown at the language coming from the creatures. It's nothing he's head before.
Then he notices Grimrin walking over to join the woodland animals.
"Ha. Little thief look like little animal now." Kulloda says before walking over and shaking Grimrin. If that doesn't cause him to stop looking at the light, Kulloda will sheathe his sword, pick up Grimrin and turn him away from the light.
Anachain follows Deniz and Kulloda at a little bit of a distance. She works best outside of the physical nonsense anyway so is happy to allow the others to forge the path, happy to chime in if they seem to veer off of their target.
She of course checks in with her familiar to make sure Myrth is still ok. She instructs the imp, if possible, to sneak up behind the lantern bearers and to be ready to act if a brouhaha ensues. Myrth also isn't one much for combat (darn 2014 rules!) but should be able to provide help here and there if it does break out.
Also, getting close enough now to hear the Sylvan in person, Anachain attempts to gauge the truthiness of what they are saying... (Insight check: 4) Alas, she finds the overlapping choir of their voices unreadable in regards to intention.

"What take care of?" Kulloda asks as Deniz heads off in the direction of the lights.
He grumbles under his breath then draws his great sword and swings it a couple of times, rolling his shoulders as he does.
Kulloda looks over at Anachain and shrugs before heading off into the woods after Deniz.

Deniz turns to warn the others that there is a risk of enchantment, but notices too late that Kulloda is following a bit too closely.
Be cautious. Fortify your mind, friend, for there is a strong power at work here.
He then turns back to the four floating creatures and attempts to communicate with them in their own language:
(in Sylvan): Who is hurt? Will you lead us to them?
