As Deniz transforms into a horse and Anachain mounts him, (still not as weird as the milking that just happened) readying her attacks. Togar lifts Grimrin up into the air and just as the halfling warned, three quicklings burst out of the foliage from different angles.
From the west one tiny quickling runs over to kulloda stabbing at him three times before running away (23, 18, 26 to hit. 9, 9, & 9 piercing damage AoO at disadvantage if wanted) the quickling darts away it's motion a blur as it uses the remainder of its movement to head east.
From the east side! The second quickling runs and jumps at Anachain provoking her readied attack (at dis) and striking out at her (13, 13, 18 to hit. 8, 10, & 9 piercing) before it runs northward (provoking AoO from Deniz at dis, if wanted)
The last quickling runs from the north straight for the Chernomoi stabbing at him (22 damage) and running west after that, the chernomoi quickly produces an ornate looking scimitar and attacks back reactively. (14 to hit) But his swing is too late as the quickling rushes by. "It's a ten minute walk to the hut" he responds to Deniz' question, holding his wounds, "Five if you run."
All three quick jabs slash Kulloda deeply. Blood flows freely to the ground. But having suffered blows before, he still reacts and slashes out with his sword at the retreating Quickling.
AoO: Godsbane - (17, 16 + 8) = 24 to hit for 12 magical slashing damage
Togar watches the pattern and sees how the deadly little quicklings disperse. He waits his turn, watching and waiting from above. When the quicklings appear again ((readied action)), he casts second level sleep, focusing on a 20 foot radius that tries to capture all of the quicklings at the same time. He puts 41 hit points of monsters to sleep.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Deniz the horse managed to hit the Pixie but not enough to temporarily fell it. But anachain's readied blast misses exploding into the gore just north of Deniz, Kulloda on the other hand lands his blow and casts a dead quickling to the ground.
With togar's magic released at the precise point where both Anachain and Chernomoi are attacked he manages to get both remaining quickling in his radius and they both fall to the ground mid run, falling prone. One 15ft North of Deniz looking bloodied and the other 15ft South west of Chernomoi
Chernomoi moves to the one northward and crouches down slicing at the wounded quickling. (7 slashing) It stops snoring and he whispers something in sylvan.
With one prone and sleeping quickling left, Grimrin is up!
Too intent on the enemy, Grimrin hardly even hears Torgar's question. When there is suddenly an arm around his waist, he squawks in surprise. "Whoa, hold up, put me down, put me do- Wait, hold me still right there." He takes aim with his bow at the prone one, wincing as he releases the string at an awkward angle.
Kulloda growls at the remaining sleeping Quickling, his anger bubbling under the surface. He strides quickly across the 15', raises his great sword and slams it straight into the center of the creature. He looks down with some satisfaction as the blow splits the creature wide open.
(Godsbane - Autocrit - (14 + 9 from Crit + 2 from Savage Attack + 7 from Divine Fury) = 32 magical slashing)
"Kulloda hate pixie," Kulloda says, as blood still drips openly down his torso.
With the last quickling felled, or at least the last one in this area, chernomoi clutches his side and sits back on the broken stone slab that he was sleeping on earlier. "Thank you all, I have something I could have used but it hurts everyone around me, I didn't want to kill you all." He gestures around at the crater of gore you are all standing in (or flying above)
"I don't know if you can stop this curse... our protector couldn't, we are here as punishment, we tried to steal from the unseelie in the feywild, and now... Well... Punishments are supposed to last a long time. But this? all of it, it's cruel. Unless the rituals are maintained then we go mad and try to kill everything. It effects our memory, our sense of being, the very control we hold over ourselves. We keep hidden, we have for centuries. But please know, those who attack you around here, they are not at fault, they are not in control. Please make haste. Help our protector."
With no more threats around the Pathlighters can be heard singing a solemn dirge in their chorus all around you, you have but a moment before they reappear to lead the group northward. (Y'all get a round to prepare before Wisdom saves everyone!)
Kulloda takes a few deep breaths and growls as he looks at his wounds. He should have just let himself lose control when that first pixie showed up. Had he done that, there's no way he'd be bleeding as much as he is now.
Kulloda looks at the others, then gestures at all the dead, and the carnage around them.
"Town should pay more. Take all magic if more angry Pixies to fight," Kulloda says. "Should go back. Make new deal."
"You already made a deal," Anachain says with more than a little annoyance in her voice. "Is it your way to back out just because things got tough?"
Without waiting for an answer from Kulloda she turns to the chernomoi. "If you think it is cruel then end it. Kill yourself so you cannot be forced to kill others. Curse solved. But who all is affected? The lantern bearers? The quick little gnats? Are there others? Tell us before you off yourself... And where this protector is."
Waiting for that answer, Anachain remains atop Denizhorse (or climbs on, if not already there) and rummages in her things until she finds a scarf which she promptly ties around he head so that it covers her eyes and blinds her. "At least their lanterns won't get me this way," she mutters and hopes that it is true.
((Meanwhile the invisible Myrth flies over to perch upon her shoulder and be her eyes, after a fashion...))
Actually that doesn't work at all since it requires an action to keep the using the imps senses every turn so she couldn't use it's sight to aim a spell... So instead she just secures herself on Deniz' back and readies herself to try not to look at the lanterns.
Togar brings Grimrin back down to the ground, saying “Shield your eyes! Don’t look at the light, don’t go into the light!.” After he lands, he uses his minor conjuration skills to make a set of blinders, taking off his helm and placing the blinder / goggles / eye shields like his eyes have just been dilated on. “Gonna turn away from those guys. Let’s just get a move on and find this Druid, get this over with.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Chernomoi looks to Anachain with a mix of frustration and sadness, pointing at the dead quicklings on the ground who's wounds have already stopped bleeding and started knitting themselves back together. "Like I said, we can be killed, but we don't stay dead, the punishment, the curse, it won't allow... It's been centuries, you have no idea how many times I've gotten to that point and done just that... Only to wake up a few hours or days later... Go north, ten minutes. I'll make sure the quickling stay away from you all for a few hours. But there are also the darklings out there. They have a lair like me, they don't stray, but they also need help."
Suddenly the gore crater is illuminated once more, the Pathlighters reappearing and finishing their overlapping choral song. (Everybody make wis saves with advantage of you prepared something DC15 or be compelled to follow them)
Togar shields his vision, then takes flight again, hovering 15 feet or so off the ground, saying “Let’s get out of here, quickly! Cover your eyes, don’t look at the light! Those quicklings are going to be alive and attacking again any moment..” If everyone is seeming to follow, he heads north in the direction they were shown.

”Ha. You like hear what want. Say should get paid more. Kulloda not say should quit.”
Kulloda does pay attention to Togar’s warning and closes his eyes before the lantern bearers return, only opening them again if he’s sure his back is to them.
”Maybe cut off hands stop lanterns.”

Keeping his sword drawn he heads north with Togar.
"You said go back. Make new deal. That is quitting and trying to get paid more to do what you already said you would!" Anachain counters but is quickly frustrated, both with the dense muscle-head and with herself for even trying to argue logic with him. "Bah!"
She hears Togar calling out a warning about the lantern bearers at the same time but she mostly ignores him as she was already aware of the danger. She turns to Chernomoi to suggest cutting off their heads to stop them from coming back alive but is distracted with the thought that perhaps that would just create two of them... When suddenly the area is illuminated once more.
(I'd say Anachain maybe would have been actively trying to avoid the light but she got too distracted with arguments and forgot about being safe? Wis Save: 22 - She's good anyway.)
With the lantern bearers back, Anachain digs her heels into Deniz-horse to try to spur him on to run away from these creatures!
As Anachain digs her heels in Deniz trots on northward, slowly, following the beautiful illumination of the pathlighters lanterns reflecting in his deep horse eyes. The move northward is slow, the Pathlighters do their job lighting your path through the rough underbrush, it seems a small path has been worn into the ground in places, winding around trees and cutting through bushes. Movement around the group does stir some tensions, and kulloda ready for battle draws his blade at something incoming, but it does not move fast, instead a groggy looking hedgehog walks out in front of him and begins following the light, more and more critters join the mini pilgrimage as they had done before.
"Do we have a choice?"
"No more Pixies," Kulloda roars. "Kulloda hate Pixies. Kulloda stay. Fight Pixies. Rest go. Shoot at Pixies from far."
Togar descends to pick up Grimrin if he wishes, then begins to climb. "Can you shoot a bow if I hold you aloft? I'd like to get some altitude.."
