Elias steps up and swings with his best swashbuckling impression, ah ahh! 7 to hit, his staff missing and smashing into the floating zombie just to the side of the standing one, for 4 pts of damage, ah noo!
Mistynip almost chokes on a chuckle at Elias's swing and a miss, bringing her mace around in a wide arc, building up tremendous speed and force, she brings it down solidly on the last zombies head, attack roll 20+4=24 for 6 pts of brain smashing damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Give me one of those blasted stones!" Rosaline exclaims, taking one of the magic stones from Rosebud. "Let's send it back to hell and get this over with!"
She then tries to chuck it into the remaining zombie's face.
Magic Stone vs. Zombie Attack: 17 Damage: 6 (bludgeoning)

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Khessa feels herself filled with a wrath that has little to envy the barbaric one, at the sight of the zombie she tries to take it out on Elias. The heavy blade runs in a lightning curve aimed at the rotten neck of the walking corpse: "Leave him alone, you graveyard reject!"
She pulls a bit of jerky from her rations and calmly starts gnawing on it. “You guys have some anger issues,” notes Rosebud. Perking up, she adds, “But this is fun! I’m glad you let me join this Flaming Fist group or whatever we are. Speaking of which, we can’t burn these zombies, which is a bummer. Do we need to carry their heads with us or can we just leave them here? I think we just leave them here. Maybe those rats will return to finish them off again or some more.”
Khessa smiles back at the young wizard, visibly relieved that he is unhurt, and hugs him for a few long moments: "Well... I didn't think they were zombies... but we handled this surprise as best we could. Too bad the ceiling here is so prone to collapse..." she sighs "...I would have so loved for us all to retreated and then simply blow up all those self-moving corpses... It would have been easier and faster. But it would have certainly blocked the passage after the collapse".
"I'm with you, Rosebud!" the blonde arcane warrior also smiles at the pugnacious little force of nature "We'll have to leave them here. But at least we have an interesting new passage to explore..."
And with that, the tall adventuress once again deploys the Army of Darkness protectively in front of the group and leads the way along the only other exit of the 'blast chamber'... the one with the stairs to the east.
When ROSEBUD mentions anger issues, REYA quietly says to the little Druid, "You guys? I don't think you were throwing your little Magic Stones as if you were casually skipping rocks on a pond."
REYAwith ROSEBUD on her shoulders, follows the ARMY of DARKESS. KHESSA will see a hallway with two doors to the south that are closed, along with a closed door to the east. One of the doors to the south is open. Inside it you will see an open stone sarcophagus that rests against the back wall, its shattered lid lying in pieces on the floor around it.

“He, he, he,” is Rosebud’s giggling response. It comes out in an only slightly menacing tone. One can reasonably conclude that it’s is better to have a gardener with psychological problems on the team rather than as an enemy.
Nothing happens. KHESSA goes in and sees carved into the north-facing side of the sarcophagus, ghastly images of human cannibalism. The sarcophagus appears to have been plundered long ago, and a search of its interior yields up only a jawless human skull and a few bone fragments.
"Human cannibalism..." Khessa's features twist in disgust "I have the impression that this has nothing to do with the Dead Three cult, but is an older evil... The Cultists probably didn't build this dungeon - they just found it and made it their base - and evil was drawn to this place in earlier times as well".
The blonde arcane warrior then leads the group to the previous door... expecting to find a similar chamber to this one, but perhaps untouched. She leaves it to a member of the Army of Darkness to open the door [[ The one with armor and shield who is not yet wounded, i.e. Skeleton 2 ]].
Rosaline's jaw muscles tighten at the revelation that these cultists have been practicing cannibalism.
"They will all pay the price for their crimes," she mutters as she retrieves her four javelins. "It's just a shame that we haven't caught any of them alive... I would have liked to look into their eyes while lighting the pyre..."

(Reya would have gathered her crossbow, as worthless as it is to the Paladin.)
When the party reaches dry stonework, REYAwill lower herself to allow ROSEBUD to climb off.
After ROSALINE's comment,REYA will say,"Sending them straight to Avernus works too."
KHESSA will send ARMY TWO through the next door to the west.
The Warrior Mage will see an open sarcophagus standing at the back of this dusty crypt, its heavy stone lid lying on its side between the sarcophagus and the south wall. The north-facing side of the sarcophagus bears faded frescoes of spear-wielding warriors charging across golden plains on horseback.

ZOMBIE 4 ATTACK ELIAS 10 DMG 4 Bludgeoning
ROUND FIVE
ELIAS misses with his staff but his swashbuckling theatrics was a sight to see. (I moved Elias’ token into the gap.)
Can’t Miss ROSEBUD hits the fourth and last ZOMBIE squarely with a Magic Stone.
MISTYNIP also makes a solid strike on the ZOMBIE's noggin. But like ROSEBUD’s Magic Stone doesn’t drop the last of the animated corpse.
The last ZOMBIE attacks ELIAS. (More direct attack.)
(Getting closer. Let’s see if Rosaline and Khessa can finish it off.)
"Give me one of those blasted stones!" Rosaline exclaims, taking one of the magic stones from Rosebud. "Let's send it back to hell and get this over with!"

Khessa's Greataxe Attack: 18 Damage: 12 (slashing)
(Close enough!)
ROSALINE uses one of ROSEBUD'S blasted stones and nails the ZOMBIE with it.
KHESSA slashes into the remaining ZOMBIE with such force it falls over making its demise inevitable.
VICTORY!
(That was a long fight. Now where?)
Elias looks around at his friends with a smile, well, that went exactly as planned. Then laughs. Everyone ok?

Khessa sends the Army of Darkness to check the sarcophagus, being ready for anything.
If nothing happens when the skeletons approach the sarcophagus, she then goes in and sees for herself what it contains.
Elias will hang back in the door, careful, I've read of dreadful things coming from things like that.
